@Allahweh Its not, i see alot of videos on here for the Castlevania 64 that people are also saying a being Castlevania: Legacy of Darkness. And im like umm no lol
@PiinkHairspray Oh yes, I knew the games were different. Of course, they were meant to be one game, but they cut back on some of the stuff from CV64 and then naturally had to make a 2nd game. I prefer LoD just because it's a much longer experience, but I appreciate this game as well!
Hey everybody! I have released my new album 'Progenitor' which has electronic music inspired by great games such as the Castlevania series. You can check it out and download it for free on my youtube channel if you're interested!
@SparkBlazetail Well..they do sort of reuse the songs over and over. I mean, the intro is a variation of Richters theme, after all. And how many games have Bloody Tears in it? So...yeah, it would sound similar.
I remember my Ma an' Dadda playin' this game when I was about 6 or 7~ X3 I LOVE that the girl has a better ending than the guy does~ XD You fight one lame battle with Dracula, with the guy, and you fight 3 forms with the girl~!!! My cousin had to help out on the final boss, but I missed it 'cause I was in my room jumping off my bunk-bed into my huge pile of stuffed animals~ XD
@RadicalEdwardBK errr...you must have got the Bad ending with the Reinhardt. Dracula has more than one form lol. you must've took too long to finish it or used day/night cards, or both. I won't spoil it for you. Go play it.
@xGolbezx I'm thinkin' that that's the one I remember, 'cause I played it all over again a little while ago an' realized I apparently didn't see his best ending~ X3 Carrie's still my favorite, but I just can't help but love the fact that you're kickin' ass as a 12-year-old~ X3
@1stressout9 Umm, no. I can bring it back every time I turn on my N64 or emulator. There are also game-making communities that try to revamp the classics to keep them fresh.
You only have this song from Castlevania 64?! It has a LOT of great songs! The eeriness of the Villa is showcased perfectly in the music, and the Tower of Sorcery?! Come on!!!
P.S. This game needs to be put on VC or something because it's amazing and I don't have anymore memory cards that work for my N64
I remember the part with Carrie and the nitro thing...When I had to walk down some stairs and I always died in the final step...supposedly when I stepped down the last one, there was movement so yeah. Stupid game and its glitches XD.
i just can't play the new ones.....i guess i AM a masochist i like this one more than the others (new) i cant play the new xbox ones.... they are just missing..... something....and VAMPIRES.....
This game had horrible reviews, but i'll be goddamned if it didn't scare the shit outta me. Once you really get into the castle, you know shit gets real. I tried it on easy and it ended about a third of the way through the game. I was like 'ohhh, you SLY DOGS!'. This game evoked nightmare fuel, from the chainsaw frankensteins, the huge ceberus(es?), the vamps when you got DEEPER into the castle, and OH GOD the battle towers.Shit always get serious when you reach the clock tower in a 'Vania game.
All games have there problems. If this was remade, all the music and everything in it, this game would surely be even more epic. One of the best N64 games I played as a kid.
That part really took some serious concentration and patience, and it was thoroughly aggravating. I think I still have that game laying around somewhere. I remember they made a sequel to it, but I don't remember much about it because I only got to play the first level.
Music in this game was EPIC. Can't say the same thing about the gameplay unfortunately. Did manage to finish it twice. Thank God for these sound rips.
I never played this game, but I remember I saw it a long time ago at Blockbuster videos where you could rent N64, and Playstation, and Dreamcast games there. When I saw it, I thought," Wo that looks awesome." Is this game even good? I saw AVGN's Castlevania marathon and he showed this game and it looked awful. But is this game good?
This game is pretty good. A fun game worth playing through. Not as classic as the earlier Castlevanias but way better than the other garbage 3D Castlevanias. The atmosphere in this game is just so omnious...fog, vampires, blood, creepy music....feels like a horror story, you are trapped in this Castle of terror. A lone man out to kill Dracula, will you survive?
@MajBlood Seriously. This game still scares me at some parts. Especially the hedge maze and the chainsaw man. Hearing his clanking footsteps and the dog growl scared the living heck out of me.
Dude the game is killer. The only thing problem you may encounter is the shoty camera work and the flunky controls but thats it this game is excellant
