jag köpte en yz för 2 dagar sen som jag ska plocka isär o renovera upp till mint skick den kommer bli fin den har varit vit men nån jäkel före mig hade färgat alla kåpor slarvigt röda så såg ut som skit men ska ta bort allt det röda och göra den vit sen blir det o höja den i bakdämparen :)

Yep i had one of these new and raced it, although i think the YZ 80 H ( previous model ) was faster with the air cooling, i was more successful with the H model

@otgdylan LOL this was my third bike. Bike #1. 1982 Honda XR 80= disappointed, #2. 1982 Yamaha YZ 80 J= fast bike, poor handling and suspension, #3. 1984 YZ 80= not as fast as the 82, but had good handling and great suspension. Looking back bro, wish I had kept all three.

I'm old now but I had a 1983 YZ and paid only $800 brand new...and it would go 125kph. All that I can say it was a hell of alot of FUN. can't get enough of that powerband!

well it's broke now, the chain went of the front sprocket smashed in one of the engine-halfs so that it broke :(

but I bought a new engine for 75 $ that was resently served and put it in but apperently they have made something wrong in the gearbox :( so we have to fix that.

i got a yz too but its not stock does around 120-130, i have been drive 125 as max now i think it can give more:D

i had one just like that i dont kno if it was an 83 ur 84 it looked like that was pretty tall for an 80 the only thing different was the readiator shroud was black

yes they are great i have it standing the hole winter and then on the summer i just kicked once and it started. actually i was out driving in the snow today and that 24 hp really shows. fun :)
