  • the one on the right is evil eeeviiiil

  • Looks great, will have to try the recipe. Ignore those running it down, if they don't want it, they don't need to make it. All great things take time. THANKS

  • @wick5449 thx mate.. try it, its great :-)

  • census lol

  • What isn't safe for consumption?? If you dont want to use your owen you can use a dehydrator, But it will still take time. One hour is not enough to get the moisture out of the meat..

What you need is Low heat and dry air.

  • 8 hours, who the hell pays for you electric bill?

  • @Ryuuken24 i do !

  • @BlueprintDK Dude, 8 hours is overkill, I couldn't think of letting an oven on, alone with no supervision, not even that, what if you forget. Isn't there an easier way to do this? I've googled about it, but, it's too much murky information. I could use the oven, but it has to be done within one hour. And the ingredients are hard to find in this country, too, since most of the stuff isn't safe for consumption, but herbs are no problem. Anyway, if you have the time, give me a heads up. Thanks!

  • @Ryuuken24 ya there is a easyer way u could use a dehydrator

  • Does it dry up like that?

  • Super fed video! Har selv lige lavet det i dag med mutter :D

  • great job.

  • nice dances with wolves music

  • MATE THANK U SO MUCH FROM AUSTRALIA TRULY AN AMZING VIDEO!!!!! THANKS MATE!!!!!

  • how much does it cost to make a days worth of jerky?

  • Great vid, adoreable kids also. will try this out soon!

  • Th toothpick trick...amazing, cheers mateee!

  • music sucked seemed like we just lost a war

  • 8 HOURS in the oven? wouldnt it be burnt to a crisp and not chewy?

  • Excellent video. Thanks for the instructional.

  • ill need to use at least 5 pounds of meat and lot of condiments because GOD this shit tastes so good!

  • i cant w8 to do this :D !

  • wunderbar.. ok the judges have said it all... thumbs up mate......

  • Does this method still keep the jerky slightly soft

  • i have a food dehydrator, will that work better?

  • in my oppinion the dehydrator is superior to any other method, much faster, moist jerkyand you can do alot more at a time .i also suggest meat in brine or rub for only a few hours .i prefer dryer as opposed to moister .jerky stores better and longer when dry.smoke flavoring is all chemical and not needed.

i have been making jerky for 40 years

  • Is it alright if I use dr. pepper bottles instead, that's all I've got mate. that or Fanta grape. arrrrrrrrg. I just stuck myself with a toothpic.

  • Jeg har brugt flanksteak.. Plejer at give det 8 timer ved 75 grader.. Det MÅ IKKE KOMME OVER 100 Grader !

God video forresten :)

  • Great job, I will have to try this!

  • @LCHFWilliam Thanks mate

  • looks like too much work, I rather just pay the dollar for a slim gym.

  • how many "degree celcius" is 75 degree cencus?

  • I'm sure this is a dumb question, but can you make jerky out of meat that's already been cooked the regular way? Like a roast beef?

  • how to make your own jerky

    thats waht she said

  • left is cute O.O

  • me and 71,256 people have been wondering about how to you make beef jerky???? lol

1:13 thats a neat way to use a oven rack id never thought of it. if i had not watch this video, i would have probably never thought of the idea for the rest of my life :)

why do you need to put foil on the coke bottles thou?

  • @08071987

?? why do you need to put foil on the coke bottles thou?

So the rack dont slip.. Thx for your comment.

  • GREAT Video! Always wanted to know how to make it! Got to give it a try. Too bad it takes 8 hours in the oven, concidering I have to share it with quite a few people.

  • So dried meat is all we're good for huh? nice... You sound like a classy guy yourself "alex."

btw- We prefer to be called Native Americans. Were not Indians. Enjoy your snack genius.

  • i was not trying to say anything bad. i did not say thats the only thing your good for. i said thats 1 good thing ur good for. witch in my defenition of phrases means there is more. i think i should have rephrased my comment.

  • Oh, okay. I misunderstood then. Thanks for clarifying.

  • My friend prefers the term Indian, because that's what he is, a Native American Indian.

  • Beef jerky is way too expensive here in finland, a 50g bag cost like 3-4 euros

  • how much is that in dollas?

  • @matt, 7$

  • after i mixed it in, i rubbed my eyes

    how stupid of me LOL

  • u gave the childrens chocolate instead of ur jerky, thts why they smiled;)!

    XD

  • Wow! Not only did I find out this great way for the cooking, but the music was fantastic, Does anyone know what the title of this music is please?

  • Comment removed

  • This is music from the film Dances with wolves: The John Dunbar Theme.

    Indeed this music is fantastic!

  • Two quick questions..

    1. How do you store this after cooked

    2. How long does it keep once cooked

I will be making it tonight :)

  • Oh wow, thanks for the recipe.I just made my first batch and my nephews loved it,thanks for the idea,Great job........My nephews said ( Thanks to you my uncle can make it all the time.)

  • 75 degrees Celsius (not census) is about 165 degrees Fahrenheit to anyone wondering....

  • @BMason3604 75 oC is 182 oF

  • @thecultchie

    F=(9/5)*C+32, F=1.8*75+32, F=135+32, F=167

    75C=167F (which is about 165F)

  • @BMason3604 i was never shown that way before but it makes more sense and is more accurate, thanks

  • Ha this video depicts the process of making beef jerky as it should be. As a holy religious rite or an act of true love.

  • why didnt he use vinegar?

  • The beef jerky came out amazing! Just the smell of it when I opened the oven door made me and my dog start to drool haha, and he's 15 years old and we all thought he wasn't able to drool anymore (cause of his age) but the almighty smell and taste of this jerky prooved us all wrong! Everyone I gave a piece to said they never realised how tasty beef jerky really is, cause the packaged jerky over here (UK) tastes like crap compared to this.

  • Epic beef jerky music.

  • I just made my first beef jerky using your recipe... well, it's in the oven now, gotta wait another 7 hours for it! But seriously it smells SO GOOD my entire kitchen just has that lovely jerky smell xD

can't wait to taste it when it comes out of the oven!

I didn't use all your ingredients, cause i live in England and our supermarkets don't sell stuff like 'smoke spice' etc, so i had to improvise and get the closest thing! Steak spice and spiced sea salt, with all your other ingredients ;)

  • how was it?

  • To many ingredients for me. I just soak mine in brine overnight and then smoke it!

  • mhhhmm looks good

  • good video.. but the music makes me feel like in graduating high school again

  • it's the main music from that film Dancing with Wolves i think xD very appropriate ;)

  • this video is soo beautiful \

    thank you so much

  • cant wait til i get the stiff to make it im gonna mae 10 ponds

  • great job on the frist video 5/5 stars

  • Interesting! I've never cooked jerky in the oven, always dehydrated mine. The spices here look pretty good. I try and cut as much fat off as possible so it doesn't go rancid. I use Eye of Round. I'm going to try flank steak and see how that goes. Either way the way you make it, it comes out good if you have a good recipe.

  • great how to video and i loved the ending with the judges 5*s all the way good job!!! i must also say i am going to give this a try thanks for sharing with us

  • Very good definition video. A friend put me onto Biltong - South African jerky (coriander etc.), and that is very nice also.

  • I've seen many jerky recipes, but you're the first one I've seen that hangs the beef that way in the oven. Thanks so much for sharing that! I've got some in the oven right now. I'm sure it's gonna be great!

Btw, jerky is very common here in the U.S., but it's always quite expensive, and nothing is as good as homemade!

  • How long does the jerky last before it goes bad? If its vacuum sealed how long would it last? Anyone? Thanks BlueprintDK

  • if its good n dry and salted and kept out off the sun and moist air and dust.. i wouldnt have any trouble eating it after a year or two

  • For a second there I thought you put plastic bottles in the oven and was like ..... wtf hope ppl know not to put them in lol

  • I used glass ones hehe, old gin and whisky bottles worked great! Good excuse to drink them as well ;)

  • Great Video thx.

Love Jerky...and choice of music fits perfect.

  • Credit the song! I want to know what it is! Thank you!

  • wheres the smoker?

  • thx :)

  • but can someone explain why you put tinfoil on the bottles? and why do they have to be cleaned out? am I missing something?

  • Im guessing its so no steam (washed out so there is no coke) which will effect the drying process possibly?

  • mmmmmm jerky

  • im sitting in the middle of the night alone in front of the computer watching messin with sasquatch movies, when i realises that im really hungry and that i havent eated on like 8 hours, then i lokked on youtube for jerky recipes and found this and it lookes delicious, am gonna buy the ingrediens tomorrow

  • mmmmmm looks good

  • Lovely all the way through! It's hard to find in the UK and miss it fresh from British Columbia. Excellent work especially for a first video!

  • remember, since all the water is essentially being evaporated out the meat, make the slices big, but not too thick =D

  • thanks!!!! ur amazing! will defently try this soon, ill need to buy the ingredients and some quality meat first and probably the electricity bill is gonna be high :) but its all good! lovely girls too :P
