in some ways gow2 is better than gow. my solution to the game is that if the multiplayer doesn't take forever to play. there is no host lag. and if they put some of the stuff from gears of war2 in gears of war1 like of course the new weapons and execution. those things should make the game alot more enjoyable and not a paine in the ass.

I think the atmosphere in the first gears is better, but i prefer gears of war 2 as far as gameplay is concerned (especially with the meatshields). however, the major lag and host issues in multiplayer greatly deteriorates the fun factor.
