Up until recently, i didn't realize that a last call or end of watch even existed. It brings tears to my eyes when they call the officers number and there is no response. But it is nice to honor a fallen hero this way..and thank you for making my life and that of my family a little safer.
@jake3055 I feel for you amigo. I'm a volunteer firefighter, right now inactive status because of health issues. But inactive or not, I feel your heartbreak. It's said time heals all wounds, well I tend to think sometimes that's not so, sir. To Officer Ledesma, go now, the Father awaits you up there. We'll see you one day soon. Worry not for us anymore, your time in this Hell is done. We got the watch now.
this is actually whats said during duty . first dispatch will call for the office. "officer then number" and do that for couple times..... and when they cant get him and/or confirm dead then they do the Last call right then and there . City of Pittsburgh just experienced an officers lost.
I never worked with Carlos, but I know he was a good cop.
He is gone, but never forgotten.
We will always remember.

Carlos was a great cop. This is the way the sign them off for their last time over the radio. It is an honor.
I worked with Carlos, he will be truly missed.
Rest in peace buddy. In Valor, there is hope.
