I'm sooooo sorry you had an awfully difficult time. I would have recommended something different and natural like the Optimum Health Institute in Lemon Grove, CA or Austin, Texas. It would've taken time and a lifestyle change, but your 70 trillion cells would've been much happier, I believe. I've also see a case where someone regained all their weight after OHI and after lapband surgery. It's really about self-management...perhaps the pursuit of more consciousness and spirituality. im glad ur actually came out about the complications of plastic surgery. society tends to glamorize plastic surgery which makes surgeons play god. no one thinks about what can go wrong with a little incision, let alone an entire procedure.

You have nothing to feel ashamed about. Your DRs should feel ashamed. Both your Plastic Surgeon that put those style of tubes in you. Then the other DR that didn't find the tube in you right away. How would they not find that tube, how do you lose a 9in tube? They should have know that it was in there!

I'm glad you're ok. You are extremely brave. Have you ever heard of Maderma cream? It's available in major drugstore chains. It's supposed to be good at fading scars.

It was so nice to hear your voice again. Your stomach is sooo flat and it looks very nice. Maybe you can use like scar gel and/ or skin bleach to work on those scars after you heal fully. There's no reason why you shouldn't wear a bikini. You did all that work and you deserve it, so a few more tweeks to get that 2 piece on can't compare to the mountain you have already conquered!! Mel just be glad that you are ALIVE. Forget about your scars. There are meds that will help remove some of those scars. Just thank God that you are still here to enjoy your son, and your husband. We get so caught up in the moment, that we lose sight of what is really important. You are healthy, and you look Fab, so leave well enough alone. God has to get our attention sometime, to let us know, who is the Boss. We want things OUR way, and it just doesn't work that way.
Don't get too hung up on vanity. You still look freakin awesome and I am sure you are healthier now than you were at 275. I remember you saying that they had you do a video in Columbia. Have you contacted the surgeon over there and let him know what you have been through?

Yes, I was going to say that - I did notice that after your first surgery you didn't walk hunched, and from my research on the topic that you do walk hunched when you are nice and tight (and from muscle repair). So now things should be so much better for you, and your result will finally be what you want.
Scars build character. They remind us of where we've been, mistakes weve made, and places we dont want to go back to. It sucks now, as any scar does.....but eventually it will fade and only you will know its there. But again, its a reminder of our trials and tribulations. A small reminder of all the pain, sorrow, and hard work that youve underwent. Be proud of your battle wound that shows what a tough cookie you are.

Melanie no need to be ashamed. This wasn't your fault, having plastic surgery (any surgery for that matter) is a risk even in the US. I am so sorry you had this experience. I think you should blast that Dr. on YOUTUBE/internet because I'm sure any of his potential patients are researching him. Any way your new stomach looks much better, it looks awesome.

I'm not sure why you would feel embarrassed. You did something in an effort to help yourself. that is honest. There was a possibiltity that this could have happened in the US. You would have had more of a chance to have recourse for a US doctor, but it still could have happened. Give yourself a break. I'm just happy that the infections and causes were found, and that you are alive an able to continue to share your story. I wish the very best for you now and in the future.

Hi, I've been following your videos for some time now and I must say that you were beautiful then and you are beautiful now. I am going to get lapband at the end of June (hopefully if all goes well). You might try some Bio Oil or Scar Zone on your scars or fading cream... I had a cyst removed on my face and the scar is invisible now after using Scar Zone. I'm glad you are ok and I hope you can see what a beautiful person you are.
Melanie, I am so sorry for what happened to you. But this isn't anything you need to feel ashamed about. You had every right to expect good medical care. If anyone should be embarrassed it should be your first surgeon. Thank God you are healing and getting your strength back. You DO look wonderful!

Out of curiosity, will your surgeon in Colombia know what has happened to you as a result of his malpractice? I guess you have no recourse to sue him, but will he at least be notified somehow of what he did to you?

coco butter on those scars will help lighten it. Apply it 2 times a day and massage it in. Don't be embarrassed, we all do things we may not be proud of but we learn from our mistakes and we can only hope that when we tell people, it won't happen to them. Your stomach and you look great!

You have nothing to feel ashamed about. Your DRs should feel ashamed. Both your Plastic Surgeon that put those style of tubes in you. Then the other DR that didn't find the tube in you right away. How would they not find that tube, how do you lose a 9in tube? They should have know that it was in there!

I'm glad you're ok. You are extremely brave. Have you ever heard of Maderma cream? It's available in major drugstore chains. It's supposed to be good at fading scars.

It was so nice to hear your voice again. Your stomach is sooo flat and it looks very nice. Maybe you can use like scar gel and/ or skin bleach to work on those scars after you heal fully. There's no reason why you shouldn't wear a bikini. You did all that work and you deserve it, so a few more tweeks to get that 2 piece on can't compare to the mountain you have already conquered!! Thanks for being my inspiration!!

Mel just be glad that you are ALIVE. Forget about your scars. There are meds that will help remove some of those scars. Just thank God that you are still here to enjoy your son, and your husband. We get so caught up in the moment, that we lose sight of what is really important. You are healthy, and you look Fab, so leave well enough alone. God has to get our attention sometime, to let us know, who is the Boss. We want things OUR way, and it just doesn't work that way.

Don't get too hung up on vanity. You still look freakin awesome and I am sure you are healthier now than you were at 275. I remember you saying that they had you do a video in Columbia. Have you contacted the surgeon over there and let him know what you have been through?

Yes, I was going to say that - I did notice that after your first surgery you didn't walk hunched, and from my research on the topic that you do walk hunched when you are nice and tight (and from muscle repair). So now things should be so much better for you, and your result will finally be what you want.

Scars build character. They remind us of where we've been, mistakes weve made, and places we dont want to go back to. It sucks now, as any scar does.....but eventually it will fade and only you will know its there. But again, its a reminder of our trials and tribulations. A small reminder of all the pain, sorrow, and hard work that youve underwent. Be proud of your battle wound that shows what a tough cookie you are.

Melanie no need to be ashamed. This wasn't your fault, having plastic surgery (any surgery for that matter) is a risk even in the US. I am so sorry you had this experience. I think you should blast that Dr. on YOUTUBE/internet because I'm sure any of his potential patients are researching him. Any way your new stomach looks much better, it looks awesome.

I'm not sure why you would feel embarrassed. You did something in an effort to help yourself. that is honest. There was a possibiltity that this could have happened in the US. You would have had more of a chance to have recourse for a US doctor, but it still could have happened. Give yourself a break. I'm just happy that the infections and causes were found, and that you are alive an able to continue to share your story. I wish the very best for you now and in the future.

Hi, I've been following your videos for some time now and I must say that you were beautiful then and you are beautiful now. I am going to get lapband at the end of June (hopefully if all goes well). You might try some Bio Oil or Scar Zone on your scars or fading cream... I had a cyst removed on my face and the scar is invisible now after using Scar Zone. I'm glad you are ok and I hope you can see what a beautiful person you are.

Melanie, I am so sorry for what happened to you. But this isn't anything you need to feel ashamed about. You had every right to expect good medical care. If anyone should be embarrassed it should be your first surgeon. Thank God you are healing and getting your strength back. You DO look wonderful!

Out of curiosity, will your surgeon in Colombia know what has happened to you as a result of his malpractice? I guess you have no recourse to sue him, but will he at least be notified somehow of what he did to you?

Melanie, I am glad your ok. I was watching your earlier videos a while back and didnt relize what happened as a result of your surgery. Your a strong person and you went through a lot. I am glad you are ok now..Your very beautiful too..In most cases, The US has the best health care system in the world.

coco butter on those scars will help lighten it. Apply it 2 times a day and massage it in. Don't be embarrassed, we all do things we may not be proud of but we learn from our mistakes and we can only hope that when we tell people, it won't happen to them. Your stomach and you look great!

Glad to hear you are doing good ..... "ashamed" why ??? dont be .. none of this was your fault .... there is no one to blame other than the doctor that did this to you. Have you contacted them to let them know wha they did ? Just be happy that you are here with us and that you can spend another day with your kid and your family. Thats all that matters right now. :) Take care ...

Don't be embarressed mama, the dr did wrong not u. Just thank god ur here ;) hope ur doin better and thanx for all the video advice it will save people from doin the same cuz I know a lot of wls people that wanted to go out of country for plastics and won't now ;) glad ur healin good
