You cant see in third person during the match. Only*** after you recorded in game, and use a program called COD Viewer (there may be others) can you see in third person. At that point, I used fraps, and recorded it.
Just google cod4 patch 1.6 and you will find a bunch, and for 3rd person, I used the in game record function, and after that I used a program call Call of Duty Viewer. It plays back the in game recording, and since it's raw info, you can change stuff, like the angle, 3rd person, etc etc. Also some servers/mods will let you go third person while playing. The paintball mod for COD4 comes to mind.
does this patch just have maps for online play or can you use these maps in campaign mode which means new levels which is what i'm looking for cos the game is short
god damn it...... i knew it but thanks man for confirming that it only works on multiplayer it was quite clear they won't going to waste money on developing new levels which requires alot of work
I dunno if you can go back to ver 1.0 after the newest versions have been installed.
This may work though. Install two copies of COD on your computer. patch one version so you can play the maps... and leave the other version un-patched.
Hi. I understood. If you downloaded the patch for PC... then you will have the maps. The only way to see the maps, is when you play on a server that is playing them. Or you can create a game to play locally on your own computer, then select the new maps and have fun. All you have to do is click on the "create server" tab in the main menu for multiplayer. You will see in the bottom right corner a list with all the maps. Scroll to the bottom of that list for the 4 new ones.
Sorry its called "Start new Server" Thats the tab to click to make your own game.
Also double check that you do in fact have the proper patch. It should say in the bottom right corner on the main page for multiplayer "1.6.565" as well.
u should automatically be able to use it just click extract all files to the left of the folder window and u should know where to go from there i hope this helped

Heya Ava... no, you can not play these maps in the single player campaign.
So true, single player mode is much too short.
