  • i probably couldn't power clean 255 - def not high, but i've cleaned 290 fairly easily when my fs was around 310 (it's higher now). it's strange to be able to pc 110k and not fs it. but the snatch to clean ratio is fairly typical imo.

  • @ 1:31 He a friend of yours? LOL

When you say you did all your minimum lifts for the day...you don't lift like this every day - do you?

  • @StevenSWM I sure hope he does

  • Beast!

  • lovely.

  • nice trainings hall, wish you all the best for your upcoming competition. did you train the gymnastic stuff, like planche and handstand at the moment too?thats make you to a total beast :)

  • @strongbodyandmind thanks for the comment :) i have not been doing much handstand and planche things recently. i have only been focusing on things that will make me better at parkour. i don't think the handstand stuff has that much carry over and it can damage wrists etc. but i have maintained most of the handstand things i used to be able to do.

  • sick man, really clean c & j technique, quick question, do you do any other weight exersizes like for instance Bench press ect or just olympic.

  • @Jimmyboi999 i do some assistance exercises. some times i do rows, weighted pullups, reverse hypers, push press etc. i dont really bench because there is some shoulder risk and some people say its bad for your oly lifting technique.

  • really sick man your snatch technique looks soooooo much cleaner than before (and esp compared to mine!)

  • Nice stuff man, how do you catch the clean with big weights? Because like at 2:21, I would imagine it could easily crush your collar bone, or at least merk the area to crucially painful levels haha :P Also, I was wondering; since it seems like you should always be pushing through with your heels, how do you do that when you're always on your toes because of the slant in the shoe? I could be not understanding how the shoe works, but I'm not sure.

  • @JustElijah well the shoes are tilted so that you can lean the shin forward more which in turn gives you more mobility. basically you can squat right to the bottom without rounding your back when on the slant. you can still distribute the weight evenly/ on your heals when on a slant (putting that in to practice when trying to catch a snatch is a different story though)

  • @bobbyatopk Ohh ok kl. On a slightly unrelated note; how do you get enough flexibility to get your hands close to your shoulders to save them and your collar bone from moments like 2:21? I've tried before in the gym, but I can't even hold the bar properly because my bicep is in the way. Not that I have hench biceps, there's just no space to reduce the angle at my elbow.

  • @JustElijah your hands are meant to be wider than your shoulders. you try to raise your elbows up as much as possible to create a shelf for the bar. it should be pushing back in to your neck and i get big bruises on my collar bones. its just not very nice in general, there's no real secret to it :p

  • @bobbyatopk Ahh gay haha. I guess if you're man enough to be Oly lifting, you should be man enough to to take hits from the bar :P. Safe for all the advice/info, I'll start looking for decent gyms soon; so I still have something productive to do on days when I'm not jumping.

  • hey man how do you keep your low back so flat and not rounded. any tips for mobility/flexibility???

  • @kiatmac1 i have quite good mobility naturally but i deff cant get that low with a strait back without weightlifting shoes.

there are some stretches you can do to help mobility at the bottom if its quite bad though. one is called "prying". look it up, i think the stronglifts website has some info.

  • Love it! You seem to pay really close attention to technique.

  • Cool lycra, haha.

You didn't bother holding the bar overhead much on the heavier snatches. As far as I can tell you're at a pretty decent level, somewhere I'd like to get to!

  • Holy crap Teghead is still alive!!

  • @Teghead lol its a one piece weightlifting suit! you need it for competitions (im doing london and southeast u23 in a couple of weeks)

and yeah i should hold it longer at the top because its a bad habit to drop it early for competitions. but Im strong in the position so its not something i have worried about.

  • Absolute Sickness!

  • song/music aphex twin - 4

    Hell ya~!~

  • @kozes yeah, its being performed by an orchestra though which is kinda cool. alarm will sound i think.

  • very very nice

  • @MatthiasTraining thanks, i appreciate it :)
