The wrestlers occasionally go so stiff during matches (meaning that they throw real punches and make their moves hurt for real) that it becomes a "real" wrestling match at points. Back when Hulk Hogan wrestled in Japan, one of his opponents injured both of his knees in the match. One Japanese wrestler broke his neck and then finished the match with a broken neck. It's a little more intense and dangerous there.
