I'm a fan of F-ZERO, but can honestly live without, but as far as Star Fox goes, I was honestly waiting for a Wii release. I mean, it seemed like a great idea. But oh well, Nintendo being Nintendo I guess... At least they released Kirby, another Galaxy, Other M, and will be releasing Skyward Sword soon; and at least there are some other cool games.
As for this game, owning the PS2 ver. I can honestly recommend it. It is everything the NDS ver. is, but tenfold better. Try it out!
Unfortunately, the Wii version of Speed Racer got some pretty bad ratings from many review sites, but I loved it. A bit too easy though. The Nintendo DS version (show here) actually scored pretty close to 80% on Game Rankings, while the Wii version got a 68%, which is probably because the Wii version forces you to use the Wii Remote (Wii Wheel optional), with no Classic Controller support. You have to shake the Wii Remote/Wii Wheel to use Jump Jacks, which is annoying.
@ThePressStartProject I know there is, but it is a remake of the nintendo 64 version. thank you for searching. ridge racer ds cn turn into first person, but I have ridge racer 64 (the original), ridge racer 2 for my psp and ridge racer 6 for the xbox360. as you can see, there is not any ridge racer I am not aware of
Quite frankly, I didn't delve deeper in the game, as far as the NDS ver. that is, but I would say, though, that the PS2 ver. is quite good, and the AI you could say is not that shabby--the races are quite high-octane.
As far as "boring and repetitive", well, that aspect to me has always been subjective, so you'd have to play it to be the judge.
awsome

This reminds me I have yet to try the Wii version. I heard it's good, like the closest thing we'll have to F-Zero in the Wii.
DAMN NINTENDO, NO LOVE FOR F-ZERO!? *shot* But seriously, bummer there wasn't an F-Zero nor a Star Fox for Wii.

Not to mention another Kirby Wii announced this E3. I really wanna try out that one

I didn't follow the E3 this year, so that's certainly nice. Looking forward to it, too.

But the game is quite fun, regardless. There's a Ridge Racer DS, though. I'm sure you aware of it, though.

i like this game but in my opinion, the spins and jumps looks rough not like in the wii one. the one on the wii looks smooth just going with the flow

I knew you'd like it, and you should give the Wii version a try, as well; the arcade-style feel is even better.
And don't worry too much about the encoding and the HQ options...

Is the game challenging ? How good is the AI Of the opponents ? Do they use Car-Fu on you as well ? Isn't it boring and repetitive after a while ?
