Good version, a little academic sounding but good. It is nice to see Austrians play a Scots tune (made famous by Scots/Irish Canadians) in a concert in Austria.
im am a distant relative of Niel Gow, this is the first time ive come across someone in my family tree who has the same sort of musical ablities, its great to know where it all came from and who i have to thank :)
Thanks for this great post. Neil Gow is my great, great, great, great, great Grandfather, and I was able to show this to my 90 year old Great Aunt on Christmas day, and she she remembered her grand father Robert Packer playing this song on the fiddle at family parties when she was a little girl. Thank you for keeping this music alive! x
Fantastic version of this timeless classic! One of the best versions I've ever heard of it The emotion the ensemble puts in it is remarkable! Would love to hear this live!!

Would be curious to know more about the recorder.
Probably not a Ganassi (some holes would be larger), but a nice sound !

@AlainNaigeon
It´s a Ganassi recorder in F made by Monika Musch
