Nice Grafics, but it appears that this game dose not have realistic ship handeling properties. I have seen that some of the ships rapidly turning about, which is not realistic, because a ship of that size would take atleast 15 to 30 minutes to come about. Also, the ships are moving too fast for what the wind conditions says on the flags, which are slack. It looks good, but it is not how real ship fights work. Nice video though.

True. I have a navel battle game called Priveteers bounty: age of sail 2. It's grafics are not so good, since it was an older game, But it has good ship handling qualities, and it dose have 2x though 32x speed, since the ships can move extremly slow after sail damage.

The ship of the line where built very solidly, so that they could not sink in the middle of battle. The Total War games try to speed up the battles by making ships recive more damage than what realisticly would happen. (In this age, we don't have the time to do anything right!)

@tatnrf001 I replied to this almost a year ago... I now own Napoleon Total War (I have never played Empire or any other Total War games). I don't like the naval battles in this game because this company has made them too similar to land battles. Ships rarely stoped in the middle of battle, they constanty move. Getting hit on the stern is very bad and will cripple your ship in a single ship of the line broadside. They turn too fast. The map is too small. It is so unrealistic!

All I have been stating is that if you would want to know what in REAL LIFE what would really happen would be that a ship like a Ship of the Line would take a mile of sea and 20 min to turn completely around. The creative Assembly are really alterating history to fit in a computer game so that they can make money. I am sorry, but that is life. I study history alot and I am letting you people know that this is not realistic at all.

In all intrests of the Gaming world, it is hard to entertain someone for over an hour, I am simpiling stating that if you really want to call this game accurate, it is definatively not. It's lagging because of the recorder (fraps). It runs perfectly fine and smooth when not recording. Fraps uses like 20-25 FPS. And if I have 50 FPS when not recording, it makes it like 30FPS when I am recording... thanks.

It's your graphic card that makes the difference people. A couple of gigs of Ram, Quad-Core, and a decent power supply unit is all you really need for any game at max. It's the graphic card that makes the most.

I have all the minimum requirements except my Memory. Getting an extra GB of Memory. I have the demo and with my current memory it causes the demo to lag, and the intro video to get all choppy. Most of my requirements actually are better than minimum but not the best. Just gotta get that extra GB of Memory till I can start playing.

Not for RTS games, because there are so many things going on you need more processing power.

For FPS games like CoD4 a fast Core 2 Duo will be better then a slower Quad Core. Total War uses a lot more CPU power.

Certainly not. While the 9400m will allow you to play pretty much any game (on the lowest settings), it is clearly not intended for such use.
