@castorres7 Finally they have one of Andre's latest matches posted. It was later in the year 12/92.Andre looks even worse than the one you see.Andre had far more trouble just standing let alone walking.Even Mae Young could beat him in a foot race. That one is much more sad to see than this one.
Does anyone notice that whenever Bam Bam and Rambo go to tag Andre, he for the most part ignores it? Was this because he just was in so much pain he wanted to do as little as possible, or was it some storyline going on that he wasn't too keen on his teammates?
We talk about Giants and south of the border I cant help but think of Giant Gonzales. He was already out of wrestling by 31,he's broke, long forgetten, and crippled to where he can barely stand let alone wrestle.Andre left a winner, He lived longer than his doctors had told him,had a fortune when he died,he was world famous, sorely beloved& missed,he was still able to continue wrestling after he retired He died only 6 weeks after his final match
trully the greatest big man ever in the ring in his prime he would jump of the ropes and was super fast andre you will always be my hero 10 bell salute r.i.p. brother
According to SLAM sports site, this is sometime in May 1992.
Interestingly, his last match listing states that he was in Mexico again, with El Canek and Dos Caras versus Yokozuna, Bam Bam and Bad News Brown. Was this the offending 'shit' match that people keep going on about? If so what a horrible way for Andre to go out.
Red is certainly not the most flattering color and Andre looked at least 550 pounds. But considering in a years time he would no longer be with us, he still gave us his all!
I have a different take on both your opinions. I believe that Andre needed the exercise because otherwise he would have died eariler. Nevertheless, the body slamming, all the blows to his head, and other parts of his body also took a toll on him. I believe that exercising and doing a different sport that didn't have to do with all the banging would have helped him tremendously....oh, and easy on the beer too.
Doesn't the Big Show have a condition similar to Andre's?

@dwibs93 big show had surgery which stopped his state from progressing any worse in 1999..thats why big show is still as fit as he is now..thankfully

Sad....Andre can barely get between the ropes to enter the ring. You can just imagine the physical pain he must have been in.
