  • @K1ller30 Well he is 81 now. I bet his favorite movie is Good, Bad and Ugly. That he didn't direct that is.

  • For me Mr. Kowalski is the best ;]

  • @Technickk1 that depends on how many Clint films have you seen. My guess is not many, which is nothing bad, but I tell you, Kowalski was awesome, but he made better charachters.

  • Here is another nominee, from the very end of the movie "Dirty Harry:" Harry: "I know what you're thinking, punk. You're thinking does he fire six shots, or only five. Now to tell you the truth, I forgot myself in all this excitement. But bein' this is a .44 Magnum, the most powerful handgun in the world and will blow your head clean off .... you've got to ask yourself a question. "Do I feel lucky?!?" ..... WELL DO YA, PUNK?!?!?!" Scorpio did feel lucky, but he was very wrong.

  • Unforgiven, definitely.

  • its sad to look at him now..hes gotten so old .. if onley there was a way to reverse age...it feels like i wanto cry..i think they should put him in one more cowboy movie..maby where he and duko meets again

  • My favorite? That would be hard to say. A better question would be was there one I didn't like? My least favorite was Bronco Billy and The Bridges of Madison County.Clint is one of only a handful of great ones left.

  • the original hollywood badass

  • @nextbestrockstar he's still hollywood's badass. no other actor could've done the ending of gran torino like he did w/ the same effect

  • so which movie? I didnt hear him accustically

  • I hear he's doing a split-narrative ghost story next. This will be awesome.

  • ohhh ouch that was really painfull... never speak normally again please

  • I hope his age is not affecting him, he sounds kinda weak instead of his bad ass tough guy back then =/

  • Man, Clint Eastwood and Chuck Norris would make a great team :D

  • @XDarkF3arX yeah except cliff would tear off chucks balls and disintegrate them with his mind

  • Nice choices - a man who actually knows cinema.

  • stop lookin into it so much, hes been in some of the greatest films of all time and is up there as aone of the greatest actors of all time. end of

  • His voice here sounds a lot higher than usual.

  • Clint is the man!

  • I never liked any of the movies directed by Clint Eastwood. Not to seem like a hater, but in his movies a lot of times we see women being violently assaulted, and that just kind of pisses you off.

I'm a die-hard fan of the Dollars Trilogy (A fistful of dollars, For a few dollars more, and the Good, The Bad and The Ugly). He was at his best with the legendary Sergio Leone and Ennio Morricone.

  • @TheBoomViper his films often have a feminist undertone actually

  • @mfrary50

    Quite the opposite I'm afraid.

  • @TheBoomViper people can see it both ways, but i think despite the violence, there is feminism in many of his films. the women become empowered in some way. clint has even spoken about this before.

  • @mfrary50

The amount of feminism, if any, is minute at best. Women are the victims, they don't really become empowered and every single time they have to be avenged by a man. The whole thing portrays women as weak, even though they seek revenge, they are shown to be weak enough to do it on their own.

  • @TheBoomViper i feel clint directed films are different. he's talked about it before in interviews and i see what he's talking about.

  • @mfrary50

    How different?

  • @TheBoomViper you don't think unforgiven, mystic river, bridges of madison county, million dollar baby and so on aren't different?

  • @mfrary50

Different in story and characters surely. What's your point?

  • @TheBoomViper different from his films without feminism undertones. but we'll each seem them how we want.

  • @mfrary50

Seeing them how we want is not what my initial post was all about. My view on his portrayal of women is factually correct. I mean you've seen them, if you're reasonable you can tell.

All I'm curious to know is why does he direct a lot of movies where women brutally assaulted, some not being Westerns?

  • @TheBoomViper i know what your initial post was about. i am just under the impression that it's sort of widely known that if anything, there is feminism in some of his work. other than that, it just fits the kind of stories he likes. again, you can see it that way or not.

  • @mfrary50

Some feminism, maybe. And sure, these are the kinds of stories he likes (reminds of you Eminem). Still, Unforgiven winning 4 Oscars? The Hurt Locker anyone?

  • @TheBoomViper Hurt Locker is way over rated, the Unforgiven is a thousand times better.

Women being assaulted just happened to be part of the story, what's important is how he treated it after the fact.

  • legend, because of the good the bad & the ugly

  • @angelwatching1 being a family man is acting? Please learn the English language before posting crap, thanks.

  • who cares about his personal life... he is badass, period.

  • @Izanagi1990 ikr....he's like 80 years old and he still seems like he could woop somebody's ass

  • @Izanagi1990 are you saying that clint is gay?

  • @Izanagi1990 why? as actor?

  • Do you have any idea of how much better the movie industry is because of actor/directors such as Clint Eastwood? You can't make a judgment on an actor based on his domestic life, Tom Cruise is a Scientologist but people still respect him for being an actor. Sort your life out mate.

  • What great choices....and movies you can see the threads of in Clints own work....glad to hear someone call out How Green was my Valley which has never been forgiven by alot of people for winning best film over citizen kane

  • How Green Was My Valley=Freakin' Awesome

The Treasure of the Sierra Madre=Absolutely Stunning

The Ox- Bow Incident= Need to Watch

  • Also, anything by John Huston like Treasure of the Sierra Madre

  • what??
