Furthermore, he was born a christian (the first Roman ruler born into christianity), and was probably indoctrinated before he could crawl. As for Tacitus, a single passage in his Annals mentions how an early christian revolt was put down by mass execution, following the execution of their namesake. No mention of divinity, no belief...
@UScatholicapologist Tacitus actually speaks about the christians with contempt, calling them an abomination and indicating that they were more of a socio-revolutionary movement attacking the establishment in Judea and later Rome itself. Although details of Tacitus's life are sketchy, it is fairly certain he was never anywhere near Judea, and got his information on this subject second-hand (at best). Not proof. Not anything but acknowledgement that christians were a pain in the ass, even then.

I'm 13 and I can explain this. God doesnt appear to everyone just because they want to see his face, if he were to do that then there would be no way for us to prove that we are worthy of Heaven. It's supposed to be challenging in a way for us to believe in him. Besides, you underestimate just who you are talking about; this isnt the president, or even the pope who you are asking to see, it's GOD, your lord, creator, and savior. Some great god though, the punishment for simply not believing (even if you're a good person) is eternal torture for ever and ever with no reprieve but he refuses to give any real evidence so that those that he created to be doubtful or those who were taught a different religion from birth could believe as well. My mother Had Jesus appear to her in the 1960's, not in a dream or a vision but right there in front of her in some of her during on of the most difficult times of her life.

Jesus will not appear to us because He has the fulness of His glory. If you look at the transfiguration, you will notice that the 2 apostles cannot bear to look at Jesus because he was revealing some of His glory, thereby blinding the 2 apostles. It is impossible for humans to physically see the Lord because His glory is too great for humans to experience.

Actually had a Jesus experience (very profound and moving) but you wont hear me parroting the bible. Be honest with yourselves, atheists, are you ever truly happy? Have you ever experienced true joy, and peace that surpasses human understanding, even in the most tragic or trying circumstances? Furthermore, he was born a christian (the first Roman ruler born into christianity), and was probably indoctrinated before he could crawl. My thoughts: atheists believe "science" proves everything. God is smarter then us, and is higher then us. Do you reall think he would allow himself to be discovered, so then we would be tempted to do good, therfore we would all get into heaven, not because we want to do what's right, but because we fear eternity in Hell. Science can be disproven. I don't care what any atheist says, i believe God and Jesus are real. It just seems so retarted to say something you haven't looked into is fake.

It doesn't say God will do anything on EARTH, but in HEAVEN. Also, by Jesus being among us, it is referring to the Holy Spirit, which cannot be seen by the eye, but the heart. And it is ok for Jesus to appear, but even if he did, there would still be billions of people who would never believe in him, so why would he? Jesus is so imaginary? I think it takes more imagination and just sheer nonacceptance to be an Atheist.

You base your argument wholly on your interpretation of the New Testament, which you remove from context utterly, and fail to comprehend what is actually meant in those statements. You say that this proves Jesus is imaginary, but there are other possible things that it proves too. The suggested prayer also goes counter to the rest of Scripture indicating the conditions upon which Jesus would return. This is a lame attempt to enrage Christians and encourage atheists.

Now I've got this even better quality called reason. And I empathize greatly with people who are stuck thinking that faith is some wonderful gift. I'm 13 and I can explain this. God doesnt appear to everyone just because they want to see his face, if he were to do that then there would be no way for us to prove that we are worthy of Heaven. It's supposed to be challenging in a way for us to believe in him. Besides, you underestimate just who you are talking about; this isnt the president, or even the pope who you are asking to see, it's GOD, your lord, creator, and savior. Jesus will not appear to us because He has the fulness of His glory. If you look at the transfiguration, you will notice that the 2 apostles cannot bear to look at Jesus because he was revealing some of His glory, thereby blinding the 2 apostles. It is impossible for humans to physically see the Lord because His glory is too great for humans to experience.

The way you communicate with is God is by your spirit, as God is a spirit being. You can't see him, but through faith, you can "feel" him. and when it comes down to this the Christians say well...duhhh how do you explain the creation of us, well 1.how plausible does GOD making everything sound or, 2.the big bang theory, one thing with nothing to prove it ever happened and the other N.A.S.A has come up with (note the smartest group of people in the world).

to be honest i believe in aliens being involved in our making or our evolution there are many signs,and we see them all the time and only one with a brain could come to the conclusion that they do exist because the fact that there are trillions upon trillions of other solar systems with a RIDICULOUS CHANCE OF THERE BEING OTHER (higher) INTELLIGENCE IN THEM is very possible.

I'm an atheist too, but this is a lousy argument. An atheist cherry-picking convenient passages and interpreting the Bible as "literal truth" to prove their point stoops to the same level as Christians. An "intelligent" person can figure that the Bible was written by men, and men are inconsistent and LIE. Maybe Jesus existed, but didn't really perform miracles. Maybe he was a cultist and his followers wanted to be right, and fabricated the resurrection. But none of this proves Jesus WASN'T real.

I am going to get very personal right now. Yes, my family has suffered great loss in the last few years, including my young son, but let me tell you, in the midst of my grief, the Lord showed up. I don't care what you believe, but He allowed me to see in a vision my deceased loved ones again smiling and looking joyous. I don't drink or use drugs, but I know what I saw and what I felt. Nothing any doubter can say will take that away. To see me today, you will never know what I've been through

mathew 18 is taken out of context, the section is Mathew 18:15-20 look it up in context and read commentary by a biblical scholar who understands the context it was written if you want to understand it.

@sharon501able he's not real it is so simple there is 0 evidence he is real, and don't say everything is proof that he's real, the big bang theory has plenty of evidence supporting evolution and the universes creation. I have 1 question for you where did god come from?
