I see you did not wrap around the thumb. Would you say it is not that important today with modern gloves and the protection they offer? Or does wrapping the thumb not make a difference?
@djguy100 Good question. As a young boxer, one of the worst injuries I suffered was torn tendons in my thumb. But, that was long enough ago that the design of the glove offered much less protection than now. You're not going to injure your thumb on the heavy bags, so I tend to favour using that bit of 'thumb' bandaging to add a bit extra to the knuckle (especially) or the wrist (if using conventional bag mitts). You know what though, there is a bit of a personal 'feel' aspect to it. Thanks
@semiskimmed1 These are longer. You will have to wear the Adidas ones for competition (especially when competing in championships). Get yourself a longer pair for the gym, 2.5 is too small, especially for bigger hitting boxers.
Thanks for your help. Been having a lot of knuckle pain in the first knuckle on each hand and now i know why. Been wrapping them up wrong. This video helped a lot as its been affecting my training.
My coach always said not to apply a lot of strength when wrapping my hands but sometimes i find my self wrapping them again in the middle of the sections due to them (the wraps) softening up (don't know if that makes any sense since english in not my native language )
Do you have any good advices on how to wrap efficiently without putting a lot of strength yet not having these kinds of probles again?
@aaron11892 Same here. I wonder why he didn't do that. I've always wrapped my thumb and was always told to do so. I wrap it a couple times. Not too many times but, enough times so my thumb is "flopping in the breeze" as they put it.

Hello mate!, could you tell me the size of those wraps? 255cm or longer? I have the 255cm of the adidas wraps and they are very small!
