The first clip is from the PC version isn't it? Because I have the Sega CD version (on an emulator) and the title screen is different, plus that commander guy sounds a little more severe on that version.

These video clips are from the PC and Sega CD versions. The original video quality is actually not that great. It just looks better in this YouTube video because compressing the Night Trap video naturally gave it a nice blurring effect.

I was such a geek with this game back in the early 90s. I had written down in a notebook all the places, times, etc that the augs showed up and they changed the secret code to "blue" "green" "yellow" "read", whatever.

I was so disapointed when I managed to capture ALL the augs and say how the game ended. I was like wtf?

I may be wrong, but I SWEAR that Sara is the actor named MiMi Kincaid, the girl that played Angelia from Night of the Demons in 1989 or 1990. Her voice and facial expression was JUST how the anglia character smiled, talked, and acted.
