if you compare what is said here with the 5 part video "Introduction to Ecclesiastical Music (Byzantine Tradition) " , also found on youtube, you will note very interesting differences. Some overlap exists as well. It illustrates quiet clearly that the use of this music has an objective truth to it, and does not represent simply one persons opinion, but it's usage is a sign that a church is in fact genuinely catholic, and not something else,such as protestant, as the past 40 years have suggested
