its differnt for every car or transmision. its what ever gear is closest to a 1-1 ratio.

i know that it needs to be 1:1 or as close as possible but i dont know of any cars that are closer to 1:1 in 3rd than they are in 4th (if you know of any plz tell me), the main reason for 3rd gear pulls is it gives a higher hp figure
