  • take that, creationist evolution deniers!

  • meant to say one of the common names for the puma are mountain lion black panther painter mountain screamer the jaguar is a larger cat than the puma

  • at least one of these is a puma it has a nose and mouth similar to that of a house cat which it is most commonly related to jaguars also live in the americas but mainly live in mexico and south america now the jaguar has a longer nose and the leapord lives in africa and parts of asia black panther from what ive noticed is just a name it is used all over the world there are over 40 names for the puma just in english and the jaguar is also known to be called panther

  • Never seen a melanistic serval before. I wonder what kind of savannah you would get if you mated a black serval to a domestic cat. These are beautiful animals; I love those long legs.

  • @79barkingspider we both think alike

  • I do too. You can still see the spots vaguely sometimes. I think the black Servals are the rarest of all melanistic cats.

  • There is actually no such thing as a black panther, They are melanistic jaguars or leopards. Yes, people can call them black panthers, but there is no such species on record. They are all jaguars or leopards.

  • @egroegartfart I like that melanistic coloration just the same.

  • For those who have doubt about the name "black panther", I recommend the wikipedia article, "black panther".

  • badass!!

  • Nairobi, Kenya: Isn't that where barack hussein obama was born?

  • @StephenB58 yup thats why u better bow down bitches. oops u already have..lmfaoooo

  • @BlacknGoldSteel Thats a good point the black panther is my favorite animal, I even have 2 tattoos of them. Now if I had my choice of a domestic cat the black cat wouldn't even be considered...aint that something.

  • How many people die per year trying to catch these cats on tape?

  • @Celovath like 1 maybe

  • And beautiful animal

  • The black panther is such a powerful

  • hehehh This guy is Irish :D

  • the black panther looks a little like my black cat! cute! <3

  • im a kitty cat, and i dance dance dance dance dance dance!

  • Animals that stick close to mountains tend to favor the darker pigment mutations for warmth. Lemurs in Madagascar of the same species are darker in the mountains.

  • The fact about the black leopard is wrong. They do not only apear in africas mountains. Leopards living in the rainforest are also often black, in general they have a darker furr than leopards from the savanna. Also on the malayian peninsula in south east asia, almost 50 % of all leopards are black. In India about 20%. They're not that rare, everyone believes.

  • 0:30 - 0:43 Electro Dance :D

  • wow I didn't know mt. Kenya had black panthers. knowing that back then would've made that climb alot scarier

  • It's amazing what an endless number of chances has created

  • keep pressing 8 for parsley

  • That is my spirit animal

  • 1:35 that panther is fucking gorgeous!

  • interesting i had heard that black leopards only occurred in the Asian leopards i learned something here.

  • I thought Black Panthers were only from South America in the deep deep deep jungles? I'm amazed they even caught this on film. They are said to be EXTREMELY hard to even find in the wild.

  • Black fur, in wild cats, is cause by a rare gene that causes more melanin in the skin than normal. If you look at the fur of a 'panther' in the right light, you'll still see the spots or stripes. This melanistic tendency occurs in all wild cats, lions, cougars, tigers, leopards, jaguars, servals, etc.

The opposite of the melanistic tendency is the white coat, less common, but often preserved in captive individuals, the white tigers and lions seen in Las Vegas magic shows are an easy example.

  • @snipe4fun I know I read up on this after this video, it's only with Leopards and Jaguars. Cougars, Tigers and any other big wild cats have not have actual proof they exist.

  • a black serval,that must be very rare.beautiful!

  • WHERE WILL YOU FIND LIIOOOOOONS, ONLY IN KENYAAAAA~ . . . On a more serious note servals are awesome.

  • Crazy how we love these specific cats but not the all black domesticated ones we CAN have.

  • @BlacknGoldSteel I like both

  • its amazing what god has created

  • @amz736 its evolution m8... not god

  • @biskekas Prove it

  • @rahza19 Its been proven. You prove that God created this?

  • @biskekas you realize that if evolution were true, humans would have had at least ONE new strand of DNA in the past 5,000+ years. also, define your terms of evolution, as micro evolution is any mutation, whereas macro is a significant enough change in DNA to create a new species.

i encourage friendy debate, but do not persecute someone, in case YOU are the wrong one.

  • @biskekas lol funny to think there is still some who think that everything was perfectly by his own and by the way he have the right to think what he want ....

  • so cool

  • what year was this filmed

  • badum..badum..badum badum badum badum badummmmm la la la la laaaaaa.

  • Der Schwarze Panter ist eines der schönsten Tiere der Welt

  • cute much?

  • Hmmm. I always thought the black leopards were mainly found in the congo jungle areas.

  • i didnt know there were black servals

  • You're saying money stimulates the companies to continue filming? According to that logic, there is no real passion to film animals. Why should I watch this if they only did it for the money...

  • stupid fucking cats, hunting like a bunch of cavemen, just build a shopping mall, you can get anything you need there.

  • @IGNsucks What. The. Fuck! Your are the most idoitic person to say that! All People that say that derserve to be put in a cage with a lion with out protection...yeah think of that. We are only top of the fucking food chain b/c our anceters lucked out with tools...and with out them we are pry and nothing else! Why do we need any more fucking malls, you shallow prick! And why the hell did you even look this up! YOUR A FUCKING DUMB SHALLOW MOTHER FUCKER!!!

  • i wonder how they take videos of wild animals without getting bit or chased by one.

  • Gorgeous.

  • Soo cute.

I love the way the servals pouch on their prey.

  • I luvz kittehs!!

  • Aberdar Range Nairobi Kenia <3

  • Cat's rule!

  • black servals? i never knew. the world gets cooler every day

  • @MrDreamPop I know; neither did I. I think it's the same recessive gene found in leopards and jaguars called loci.

  • @Re9ap9er9

Actually its dominant for jaguars not recessive. Only leopards have a recessive melanistic gene of the two.

  • My my big black beautifal cat.

  • Africa is indeed the motherland

  • the fabled "beast of bodmin moor" is a black panther if i heard rightly

  • Black Leopards are in Africa mostly found in the Mountains of Ethiopia. In some areas, such as the malayian peninsula almost 50% of the leopards are black.

  • black panthers are just some sexy ass creatures to look at

  • Very hadsome this black serval!!!!!!!!!!

  • Whats the diffrence between Black panther and a jaguar?

  • @Kenoshino Okay, Panthers are not called "Black Panthers" because they're already black coated, the difference being a black Jaguar or black Leopard will have spots amongst its black coat if looked at closely, aswell as the normal traits from a panther / jaguar / leopard.

  • YEAH EVOLUTION AT WORK OR IS IT?

  • Can someone tell me the difference between leopards, jaguars, and panthers?

  • @holasweety2 Panthers are leopards. There is no difference except colour. A panther isn't a separate species, not even a sub-species. It is a regular old golden leopard born with a black coat that has adopted the nickname of panther. Jaguars do not live in Africa and are much MUCH larger than a leopard. Unlike leopards they do not climb trees and most of the time do not kill their prey by suffocation, instead piercing the skull with their jaws. They also have larger spots.

  • @WinglessFlutters

    "Panthers are leopards"

    Not really

A panther is a large black cat

Both, black jaguar and black leopards are panthers

  • @holasweety2

When Jaguar and leopards are born black, they're called panther

  • @holasweety2

black panther is a generic term for many "black" subspecies of Pathera.....jaguars(which live in the west), leopards(african), and cougars(in the west)

  • @AceofDlamonds cougars do not belong to the panthera subspecies. There are only 4 Panthera cats. Panthera tigris = tiger, Panthera leo= lion, panthera onca = jaguar, panthera pardus = leopard. The cougar is a own subspecie, (Puma concolor) and is NOT a big cat (panthera). Also the cougar has NO melanism (black) form. It's only called panther in the US, nowhere else. And that name is wrong, because there are NO black individuals and they do not even belong to the panther (panthera) subspecies.

  • @VpR81

oops sorry i meant to say those different types of cat, srry didn't mean to include the Puma in Panthera

  • @AceofDlamonds NP. I know about the cougar sometimes beeing called "panther" in the US. It's a bit confusing, due to the word panther actually describes black leopards and jaguars.

  • when did they evolve this new trait? mayby theyll separate and in some 500 years we'll have some more species of this beautiul cat.

  • @mifster83 The worlds not gonna exist in 500 years, Too much polution, global warming, wich is whats causing all these tornados and earthquakes.

All the poor animals dying in the artic because us retarded humans had to go wreck it.

I belive that the reason alien ufo sightings are popping up all the time lately is because aliens are trying to help us but the stupid goverment always chase them away when they probably come in peace

  • Beautiful. Absolutely beautiful. I'd love to go to Kenya and see one.

  • beautiful animal, i love to see servals in the wild instead of homes

  • Black panthers are so gorgeous, well all cats are of course, but I really love the black cats.

  • @MariaSue1 I agree

  • original name is pantera

  • So. You guys are saying that a Black Panther is a Black Leopard or Black Jaguar... then what are the other color panthers? Aren't Black Panthers just... Black Panthers?

  • This is a black leopard, Jaguar has a shorter tail and have your head a little higher

  • Tiago where is the place of this documentary? I see mountains, Where from ? country or park?

  • @asam0672

It's filmed in the Aberdares, also known as Aberdare Range, a mountain range in Nairobi, Kenya.

  • @asam0672

    Ever hear of google...

  • They are both Black panthers. Panther refers to its scientific name. A leopard is Panthera pardus. A Jaguar is Panthera onca. Black variations of either are considered Black Panthers.

  • those cats r so cool

  • basic biology:

leopard´s natural habitat is africa while jor jaguar is s.america

  • @tiagoesquimo A leopard and panther is the same,in Afrika it is a leopard and in Azië it is a panther

  • black serval? never heard of that, thanks for this video, i learned something new =)

  • This is a leopard

In certain areas a cougar/mountain lion/puma is also called at panther however this came after black leopards were known as black panthers.

The black coat is present in jaguars and leopards, but not mountain lions there has never been a documented case of a black mountain lion, its a myth which came about most likely from mistaken identity

  • Actually the black panther, black leopard, or whatever you want to call it, is actually spotted also. It is black with very dark brown spots. We have a local zoo that has a black and a spotted leopard together. They are both beautiful.

  • what happened :S did they put him in gail or not ! plz replay Mr Fake

  • in the beginning i thought it was just an ordinary kat but both of the panhers look beautiful!

  • you are stupid

  • definitly not panther

  • That's not a black panther...

  • @sibionic I don't get it. "Black panther" is just a name for a melanistic [the opposite of albino] big cat.

Melanistic leopards, jaguars, and less commonly, Cougars are all referred to as black panthers.

There's no species of big cat that is actually a black panther. It's just a term.

  • @shinocicada So true! Thank you! ^^

  • i wanna see more of the panther :(

  • my black cat looks like them only a bit little =)

  • That black Serval is stunning!

  • Panthers are indeed beautiful.

  • i thought it was vs. not & hahah:D

  • I love those ears . . . <3 chuu . . .

  • A authentic cat-wolf...

  • I love panthers. But where exactly do I see a black serval?

  • about 1:05 it starts

  • nice I didnt know black servals existed!

  • Differences:

servals have shorter tails, pointer faces and ears.

Jaguars have a longer face and larger.

Black leopards just have a recessive gene that gives them the black color. they do have spots... they're just hidden. In america we call them black panthers.

  • There difference is the build and hight. Jaguars are much more bigger than Leopards. on Black Jaguars u can see the spots slightly as on Black Leopard its jus one big black cat

  • black panther,black jaguar,normal jaguar, normal leopard....wtf

It makes no sence "so from wat i understand, they are just called differantly depending on which country the come from??

  • No they're named differently depending on what they are you idiot.

  • @trolm3 ohh ok steve erwin... "u fkn blow job"

  • Lol. Thanks for the flattery but it knowing the difference between animals only requires having at least a small portion of an infant sized brain, I guess that leaves you out.

  • @trolm3 oh ok harry potter u using all the magic now aint yah...

  • I bet you would be good at Scene It. Man why don't you get some original insults instead of using movies to sound stupid? I'm sure you could do it great on your own.

  • the black serval looks like my little kitty <3

  • The panther actually has spots, just like other leopards, but it's difficult to distinguish them against the black. You can only see them when the light hits them right.

  • 1:35... brrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!

  • the black ones in the jungle are jaguars, the ones in the hills/plains are back leopards

  • what is a black panther.....

    leopard or jaguar.....

  • there's no such animal as a black panther. its a genetic mutation causing the discoloration in the skin pigmentation. the animal is basically a leopard.

  • The ones in South America are Jaguars, the ones in North America are either Jaguars or Cougars and the ones in Africa/Asia are Leopards.

  • @xxxmondexxx jajajajajajajaja or hahahahahahaha because the panther is a PUMA neither leopard nor jaguar, you can see in google or wikipedia or in your house see you.

  • @xxxmondexxx leopard,Jaguars have littler legs and lower bodys

  • @xxxmondexxx panthers are black leopards. jaguars are from the americas, pretty much extinct now, the last stronghold for those is in belize

  • @zythepsarian wrong.

  • @xxxmondexxx It can be either, panther isn't a precise term. "Black panthers" are usually lepards with melanism but also jaguars are called that. I have the impression that panther is rarely used unless it's black. At any rate, it's an imprecise term.

  • the black serval is beautiful

  • at 1:20 thats a black serval at 1:35 is teh gorgeous of all black cats : legendary black panther! :D

  • servals are really gorgeous cats

  • The Black Panther looks so cool.

  • Mjau ^^

  • Servals remind me of miniature cheetahs.

  • i love black panthers <3 favorite animal :D

  • @Cozypup Leopard, jaguar or cougar? They're all referred to as panthers when they're black.

  • except cougars are not found to be black they are just nicknamed as panthers aswell as pumas, mountain lions and a whole list of names

  • Wildcats = legends of wildlife, very impressive, and gorgeous creatures :)

  • Comment removed

  • I loved seeing the Black Leopard and Yellowish/Orange Spotted Leopards walking together at 1:45 its Mother Natures reminder that Color doesn't matter in the world. Racism does not exisit the Animal Kingdom. Their are many who need to see this.

  • i cant believe you said that LOL

  • i totally agree

  • this has nothing to do with mother nature, this is EVOLUTION in action

  • @xake19

This has nothing to do with Evolution, Evoultion is something that would take place within the whole Spicies in order to Evolve. If this where the case than every single Leoard born to a BLACK LEOPARD would be Black in order to surive. Spottted Leopards can give birth to both BLACK Leopards aswell as other Spotted Leopards. Learn to read MOTHERS MESSGERS when she spends them. Look with your heart not with your mind.

  • @Dealz1988 bit of a silly comparison animals are beautiful and majestic because of there innocence just like little children thats why we enjoy watching them grow and have pets, but to say racism doesn't exist with animals is stupid because animals can't comprehend racism they can't think like we do racism maybe a curse but am glad we can think it if we want to if we choose to thats what makes animals and humans different our mind, and thats why animals are beautiful and we are sinners by choice

  • @jaylpp12 Its 2010 and people still don't know that animals have the same feelings we do. Elephants have been well documents of morning the death of a herd memeber or the bones of other dead elephants. Chimpanzes also show emotions. Remember that Killer Whale Tilly At Sea World You don't think there were any emotionals running thur him when he Killed his trainer. Wolves which run by a clan system just like a lot of Indigenon tribes around the world show emotion when clan members our born

  • @Dealz1988 are you dumb i am not saying animals don't have emotion you fool of course they do thats why we love them because they show affection, but are you telling me they can think like us, would a chimp or an elephant ever be capable of building nuclear weapons, discover theories and test them like einstein and philosophy the great ponders of life and death, NO THEY CARN'T

  • @jaylpp12 Nice langauge, but anyway what is your argument ? It sounds like your agreeing with every thing I said it my first statment about the Leopards of diffirent colors walking together. You just said it yourself this is what you said. OF COURSE THEY SHOW EMOTION AND EFFECTION THATS WHY WE LOVE THEM SO MUCH. Thats what I saying about them being a sign from Mother Nature. Which we can learn from.

    Nulear Weapons Thoeries??? WTF

  • @Dealz1988 am arguing at the stupid point of racism amongst animals it was just a stupid thing to say, animals can't comprehend racism so you can't compare animals to humans, do you understand?

  • @jaylpp12 LOL Judging by your langauge I can your some bored Teenage kid on the web looking for a fight. I won't argue with you, So I'll just say sense your so young in body and if not, in mind. I personally think both points are optional to the person watching.

  • @Dealz1988 no they are not optional its not a view its a fact, animals can't grasp the idea of racism or any other theory there minds are filled with ideas based on instinct stop being daft an admit your wrong, unless you can show me an animal that can philosophy then Fact your wrong and know i am not a teenager I have a bsc degree in animal conservation, music technology and i am doing a PHD in philosophy, prove to me that an animal can comprehend points of view like we do. You are just wrong

  • @Dealz1988 uh your thinking too deep into it, also you said "their" please speak correctly. Btw, color does exist in the animal kingdom, the reason why they aren't attacking each other is because of the simple fact that their senses don't become effected by color, more about danger and food.

  • @flam3dout What the heck are you talking about? Thats pretty much the message I was trying to get across in a Kinda way and please get off utube doing the whole Grammer police thing. Please find something better to do.

  • wow ive neva seen a black serval before

  • Love to all the animals that God has made, and thanks to you for giving me the opportunity to have this video among my channel`s favourites.

  • bring a black panther in the hood and you'll get all the respect in the world

  • the black panther at the end part of the video is beautiful!!

  • man they are incredible

  • Damn. That's a cool cat.

  • my brother has two servals

  • are they in a cage or not in your brothers house

  • really? where can you get them, or at least see them?
