  • What type of drive shaft did u use?

  • where do you get the mounting screws for the rudder & strut?

  • how much money did it cost to upgrade?

  • @boatbros23 That's a question I'm interested in too.

  • dude RC boats are sweeet!

  • how much did it cost to make yur boat go that fast?

  • nice boat man check out my 14.8 volt mini cat

  • Great boat = you can't drive!

  • hey do you think i could put that upgraded blue rudder that you put on that boat on my mini rio?

  • hi i need 3mm u joints for my mini-v but i don't want the stock ones cause i just got a 17t motor for it and i put it one with stock ones it was good for a while then it it just peeled off the plastic so can u please help

  • im looking for a boat, how much was that

  • about $99 for the stock version (no upgrades)

  • @CheeseGuy221 if you go to proboat.com they are selling one for 89.99 dollars if your interested

  • is ur esc water resistant

  • No. but a little silicone at the ends of the heat shrink will help!

  • Thank you. I have a mini-c and I am going to upgrade it. Im going to use the same hardware but no the same motor. I am going to use the castle creation 8000kv micro motor.

  • hi ya i have mini-c and i`d like to use 8000kv micro motor like u suggest but there is many kind SWM/CM2042 SWM/CM2054 SWM/CM2068

SWM/CM2080 . which one i can use it and what about Esc . thank you :)

  • are teflon tubing and brass stuffing tubes the same thing.

  • No, the teflon liner goes in the stuffing tube, and the flex cable goes in the liner. If you opt for "no liner" then a smaller tube is required.

  • Thank You!

  • You're welcome

  • what stuffing tube did you use?

  • 3/16 K&S brass tube!

  • i just bought this boat and wanna no how to make it faster with 85 bucks please help and if u say lipo than tell me all i need to set it up.thanks!

  • Hello, sorry to bother you. However I'd just bought a minicat not out the box yet and I'm new to R/c boating.Where did you get your drive train, rudder, and etc? Thanks

  • Hey Sam,

Wealth of info and parts can be found at offshoreelectrics(dot)com. On the forum page, mention that Diegoboy referred you!

  • Sweet Cat! These boats are a Blast! 5 Starz!!!

  • Thank you!

  • damn thats fast!!!

  • Thank you!

  • where did you purchase the rudder set up because my u-joint in the back broke when i put my brushless set up in it. Also what do you suggest i do to set up my shaft so i dont break anything , i like your set up, all metal, very strong, thats what i need. all i need to know is where you got that set up. thanks for you help

  • I used the metal u-joint's and propshaft for the proboat shockwave 26 on my brushless mini-cat, worked like a charm! whole conversion to metal joints and proper driveshaft took 20 minutes and cost $25, check out my vid!

  • Holy crap that's impressive. VERY nice setup.

I was wondering about the stability of that hull. You've answered my question! lol

    Have fun!

  • Sorry... I accidently deleted someones reply. It read something like this.

"What is the coupler you used and is it the same sized stuffing tube?"

The coupler is an Octura 1/8 to .098 flex hex coupler.

The stock stuffing tube was removed to install a 3/16 brass tube, to accomidate an Octura .098 flex shaft to 1/8 stub shaft.

  • my mini v is not stable at half thortle but it is at full. im running some 5600kv airplane engine it chine walks really bad tho do u kno if lowering or rasing the drive wood fix that i dont wanna get a cat hull

  • I would start with a smaller diameter prop. She's walking because each prop blade is has too much bite. Which prop are you running, and which have you tried?

  • it was kinda a thing i did realy fast, right now it has been runnig a stock prop and other than that i have not tried anything. i ordered some stuff from horizon hobbys but it hasent arrived yet. how fast did your v hull go.caus eim guessing mines doing like 20 3/4 throtle on a 7.4 lipo

  • Mine ran approx 36 (several others opinions because it's too small to GPS) on the 11.1 lipo.

  • did yours ever flip in too rough of water casue im running mineat the lake with wind chop it probale isnt more that 3 inches at hte biggest wave i hit but i dont wanna swim after it tumbles

  • Never flipped it

  • i took mine ut today and it is really fast i hope to post a vid soon it is crazy it bounces outof the water like 6 inches and f;ips like once every time i run a different battery. i seal it up with elctric tape.were did u get that u joint

  • No U-joint on mine

  • then what do u run

  • .098 flex cable to the Mini Hydro strut. No steerable outdrive on mine.

  • did you have to waterproof the ESC?

    does the ESC have reverse

  • I used silicone sealant on the ends of the heat shrink tubing (where the wires come out) and it doesn't have reverse.

  • yeah i got question i want one of these boats and idk if there is a diffrence between the miniV and the C but i also want to see if the megatech H20 racers are upgradble and worth getting.

  • I did this mod to the Mini-V and Mini-C. The Mini-C is more stable than the V. I have never had the H2O, so I don't know.

  • where can u get those lypos at?

  • Do a search for GPMP0823

  • so ur paying up to maybe like 250-300 total?

  • Yes, somewhere around $270 invested.

  • how much did all of those upgrades cost total?

  • $60 for the HW

$10 for the flex shaft/Prop shaft

    $34 for the ESC

    $32 for the motor

    $10 for the coupler

    $12 for the servo

    $12 for the prop

    0.35¢ for the brass tube

    My battery & Radio.

    Oh... $99 for the boat

  • Good work buddy. Noticed that the lipos are 1250 mAh 15c. Can they handle the prop ok? Don't they baloon? Keep it up!

  • That lipo also powers my renegade rigger that has an X430. It doesn't last long, but it is always ready for more with a fresh charge.
