If men truly did repent and left the old man behind as they claim...
Scripture repeatedly reminds us to remember the "old paths," and not to forsake the "ancients."
The answer is not in new age philosophy, theology or the wolves of TBN. The truth is found in one place, the Word of God. Not a thousand different translations of the Word, but THE Word. Paul attempts to remind us that we are not worthy to be saved, we are wretched. Our greatest righteousness is as filthy rags, still...
Actually the Bible says to repent and forget the old man - PW says we need to remember the old man. Men need God. But PW is far from God - to think that all are evil; that are not called by God is to misunderstand Scripture vastly. A tribesman in the amazon that has seen no other people... inherently evil? hating God? Mr Washer needs to give more of his cash to those in need instead of those he employs... a rich preacher is a false prophet and those suits and bodyguards don't come cheap...
@TaSwavo How can we be broken over our sin if we are to forget the old man. Scripture states to put off the old man, not to forget. Scripture testifies that man is evil. For instance Genesis 6:5. Paul washer is far from rich, and he buys his clothes from walmart and does not have a body guard. You are bearing false witness, which is sin. I suggest you repent and stop hindering the work of God with your false negative comments.
You clearly don't know much about Paul Washer and how he lived on much less money then you probably make in a month, While he was working as a missionary in South America
@ScottDaMoose Paul's missionary work in Peru was wonderful. The work that most missionaries do is wonderful. But Paul has been back from Peru over 15 years (approx). The Heartcry thing he is involved in is great - though put 'message' higher on their list than 'help' which I think is unfortunate. He should stick to that work and keep off the stage.
You are right though, I don't know Mr Washer. The only important question is, does God?

I disagree with you: while I think helping people is a good thing and we should help those thast God has given us the means to help.
before and above that is the command of action given to us (the believer) from our King (Jesus Christ)
Mar 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
Notice it is a command to PREACH not "help"
helping is a thing a believer does as God leads and instructs and moves the believers heart to do so

@TaSwavo
I prayed about this and this is the answer I got:
If we are in Christ and "we are the body" and the body has different parts with different functions
why is one part fighting against another?
If God is leading you to go and HELP then you should go and help but do not complain about those God has given the burden to go and Preach.
That would be like the ear getting mad at the mouth because the mouth gets to taste chocolate and the ear doesn't. can the mouth hear?

Puritanism and works righteousness coming from a Calvanist is a bit rich!

@Paulkazey1 Ummm, the Puritans were calvinists you unschooled fool. You apparently have a misguided perception of both calvinism and puritianism.
