What a testament to her *VERSATILITY* both musically and dramatically speaking.

The quality of her voice is soooooo different here from the opening notes - she embodies the Queen of the Night's darkness and ire while RETAINING the character's regality and finesse (which so many others seem to forget when singing this role).

I think overall she kept up, her technique was good and she kept to the books. My only criticism is that she sounds a bit "shrilly" to me.

Bravo Mado Robin. I love her coloratura technique; she had a brilliant voice and this was Queen of the Night Aria from Magic Flute is quite good. I loved it.

i think she was more known for her vocal ability than her acting - i'm sure she had stage presence though - the French wouldn't have considered her as treasured as they do if she was just average.

Je ne sais pas qui vous êtes, mais en ce qui me concerne j'ai obtenu à l'école normale de musique de Paris, entre 1986 et 88 un brevet et un diplôme d'execution du chant et un diplôme supérieur d'art lyrique, Alain Vanzo qui était dans le jury m'a dit qu'il avait beaucoup apprécié mon joli timbre et ma technique accomplie du chant! J'ai étudié le chant pour le plaisir, et à 50 ans mon appareil laryngé se porte à merveille!!!

Vous pouvez écrire toutes les absurdités ou insanités que vous voulez sur Callas, sa renomée n'en sera pas amoindrie, son nom restera illustre. Caballe dit de Callas qu'elle est la plus grande de tout les temps, Sutherland et Gencer disaient que c'était un génie, le plus grand regret de Berganza est de ne pas avoir accepté Adalgise auprès d'elle, Kraus n'acceptait aucune critique à l'égard de la diva...etc. Toutes ses personnes me semble t-il n'étaient pas n'importe qui!

Damrau is excellent and I love her interpretation of this, but I just saw a video of Robin hitting a high note...um never have I heard such intensity...to tell you the truth, this that Im hearing her sing (die zauberflote) doesn't even begin to show what her voice can do, she's just breezing through this, her voice was made for more, it's a voice from the other side.

mado robin is the best im sori that i included regine because mado can sing anything but regine can only sing chest voice as instrument but mado can sing all. i cannot compare her to georgia brown or mariah because she is simply a legend.

Entièrement d'accord avec vous, la malheureuse Diana Damrau qui est une personne tout à fait sympathique et une artiste exquise, chante au dessus de ses moyens vocaux et commence à rencontrer quelques difficultés vocales. Sa performance scènique de la reine de la nuit est tout à fait louable, mais elle n'en demeure pas moins un pur produit marketing!
