Well said indeed. Not to put a dampener on it, but... We are currently in a position of great power without great wisdom. it is indeed an amazing insight and is so very true ....how do you know where you are going if you do not know where you are from !! we are indeed animals ....and even today it shines out of us in all we do !! ......good video as always ! best wishes :)
An astounding revelation! Look around you. Now take everything that is man-made and get rid of it; all of it. And when you are sitting naked in the wilderness tell me how fucking wonderful your god is!

I saw a billboard outside a church that stated, "an open mind is Satan's playground" THAT speaks volumes about the dogma of religion. to state we are more intelligent than Dolphins does not take into consideration environmental conditions, within theirs they could be as intelligent as we think we are in ours and whilst not wanting to disagree, there is evidence that, rather than evolve, we where genetically manipulated by what would be termed aliens.
"We are not entirely FREE yet", though if we have any intelligence, we could get there, if we don't destroy ourselves first, which we suggest we are the dumbest of animals.
IMPORTANT TO THINK ABOUT. WE ARE KILLING THE EARTH THAT MEANS WE ARE KILLING THE EARTH !WE ARE KILLING OURSELVES. What does a group of animals(us) do when killing the weak and obtuse is the only way to save the group from becoming extinct! If the population keeps up like this there will be around 100 billion people on this earth in less than 500 years!(RELIGION IS GOING TO DIE ONE WAY OR THE OTHER LIKE IT OR NOT. The human races needs to WAKE UP!
NATURAL LIMITS TO EVOLUTION: Evolution within "kinds" is genetically possible in nature (i.e. varieties of dogs, cats, etc.), but not evolution across "kinds" (i.e. from worm to human). Species couldn't have survived if their vital tissues, organs, biological systems were still evolving? I discuss Punctuated Equilibrium, "Junk DNA." Read Pravda Internet article: WAR AMONG EVOLUTIONISTS! I discuss: genetics, mutations, natural selection, fossils, genetic/biological similarities between species.
Our opposable thumbs and not been restricted to water that gave us a huge advantage over dolphins, some say they are smarter than us. I don't really know personally, but it is clear we are able to build things, they cannot. It is not just intelligence, but our physical capabilities.
The race to the moon was merely a stunt to show that the USA government were better than the Russians, rather all this self delusional attempts to show our supremacy over our fellow man, we should share our wealth.
A good friend of mine once asked me wether or not mankind deserves to end, he likened us to a sick animal who insists on suffering for no other reason than the possibility of something better. for all our brilliance we are killing ourselves, slowly and painfully.
"according to who?" I replied, "by what standard do we come to such a conclusion?"
We both burst into laughter.
We will find our imperfect paradise, or face oblivion trying.
@Kerouac0deciple i hope we evolve again. what ever disaster comes our way as long as anyone survives a new speices a better smarter, speices will emerge, might come from us, or the world might see fit to re introduce megafauna
Even a basic cell is guided by a decision to stay or to relocate to a more suitable environment or whatever. As such, the evolution of all life is guided by intelligence, not just human life.
Know whats funny. That the act of 'lying' might have boosted human evolution by a great deal. Humans/evolved monkeys deceiving each other, purposly fibrating air with the wrong frequency so the other monkeys brain interprets the fibrating gascloud in such a way that it is benificial for the messenger. More complicated lies, more complicated ways of figuring out what the lies are. An arms-race of deceit, the cornerstone of our intelligence. Just a hypothesis, might actually hold some truth.
@jankuiper3422 yep that in a nutshell is why hardcorism is the only way and if you know anything you know you had to blast through mental bull b4 anyone could speak to ya:) we've been boosted with our fist already cocked so that when the boost hits the other guy gets it in the mouth:) and also he already did thats why we r where we r. because we r too hardcore psychonauts for the rest of em to handle and its time to stand proud and laugh. i love master debation i can dance all day! BOOM HEADSHOT
I have been watching your videos and though I have not found anything that I would disagree with, I unfortunately do not share your love for, nor faith in humanity. I would rather say things like; In our attempts to become less animal like we have actually manage to become more animal like, than even the animals themselves!
Science, like religion in my opinion are both merely our fight with nature, not being able to accept the horrific intent of life!
what REALLY made us so cool is that we chose to stop listening to nature. We have decided that its time to stop being bended by nature, driven to survival. We've decided that we make our rules and started fighting against nature, creating our own rules, our comfortable way of living and eventually our own sets of rules in our natural habitat. But that's also why I fucking hate humans....
There are quite a few informed users on youtube who deliver eloquent and intellectually stimulating presentations. However, I have only ever seen a handful that are on par with the poetic vision that you consistently demonstrate in many of your videos, to name a few of the famous ones... spank your monkey, why scientists don't fear hell, nobody ever told me, the love born of terror. We ( meaning society ) need people like you to create actual television series that reach thousands to millions.
I thought you might look like an ape. Did you know wild animals do NOT believe in a God and this is because they do not have human imagination. I'd love to see your genome. We have 98% of our genes in common with apes; some more than others. You are almost illiterate ( many atheists are and that's why they try so hard to appear superior) Sad.
@canada2D If we believe because we are imaginative as opposed to being unimaginative and in a state of dis-belief does that not seem to imply that the experienced 'reality' of god stems from our ability to concieve what isn't real? You sound like you're attacking atheists, so I apologise if you are not, but were you arguing that such an ability makes us beter able to precieve reality or that non-believers need flash cards to finish Clifford the Big Red Dog?
Last sunday i saw news from christian channel about those miners in Chile. One of the men that were rescued appeared really arrogant to me. He did not thank people who saved him, to him he was saved by god and "god guided actions of those men". I was really furious! He was not grateful for his saviours at all, but gave all credit to god and Jesus. For him this was again prove about his existence and miracles, instead of human compassion and effort. Really ungrateful.
That holiday sounds like a great idea. I wonder if that will be a holiday one day when secularism takes over and the intellectual imaturity of the species homo has come to pass.
Would you believe me I was just reading about the Large Hadron Collider and thinking to myself "I wonder if these CERN guys have like a YouTube channel so I don't have to keep coming to Wikipedia to check for updates?" when you said what you said about subbign to CERN :D
Also when I Googled your name under images I found a picture of Phil Anselmo I made and posted on an old MySpace blog of mine.
I've been watching your videos for sometime now, and I find that in each one, you prove that Homo sapiens have the ability to become smarter, and reach a level where we do not need some imaginary entity to tell us how to govern our lives. Also, each time I watch one of your videos, I find that I still have a long way to become a respected intellectual in my own mind. Thank you for sharing your unique genius with the rest of us!
I wouldn't blame religion for putting the blinders on. It's correlation, not causation. People who don't see this amazing beauty, there's so much more they miss. They also have a very narrow view of their own lives, and of their religion as well. But their religion is not standing in their way. I see what you see, and no one throws me out of Church...
I think it's something deep down in humans that would not allow them to mentally admit that they are "lowly" animals, and that the truth is so ugly they decided to make truth as they like it, without realizing things that are fabricated, are no longer true. I think by realizing the truth humans could advance even further. don't say "God made me this way I should respect him" but say "We ahve come a long way from apes on trees to men. If my ancesters are capable of such things, why not I?"
I love the irony in your name! "666" Fuck god, hail SATAN. Ha! Makes complete sense to me "oh I'm an atheist and I don't believe in God bs...but wow I really dig this 666 number because it against god!!...really shows you there really is no in-between God and Satan. Praise Jesus because I'm CRAZY!!! In love.
what do you think about society and their government teach their kids the creation theory, god made us , the Americans (the wasting people) they are infidels and Darwin was an ape !!!!
what do you think about society kills the girls because they have sex!!!
what do you think of country still have no Constitution, the holy book is the Constitution?
what do you think of prof got Phd tell the college students the Earthquake happens because gods well ?
Keep believing your a monkey in your mind if it makes you happy thats your shortcoming to live with, but stop trying to dictate to others what they are PROVIDE PROOF AND EVIDENCE THAT ATHEISM IS EVEN ACCURATE AND CORRECT. I will keep the belief that I came from harmonic frequency of thought manifested of an intelligent creative force that is without end and exists of itself thanks.
hooray for humankind! but you can go to the big bang and back and still feel drawn to spiritual questions. religion is part of the human story, and has brought many benefits. for most people religion is a positive part of their lives.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow

Also I propose that within celebrating "human holiday day" there should be hour of silence against murderers, hour against money slavery, work abuse, cheating, occultism, bullying, sexual abuse, blackmail, consumer brainwashing, etc, etc. Oh, shouldn't we In fact be silent and mourning during almost the whole "hioliday"?
@LetTheHolySpiritIn You didn't include religious brainwashing and all the mental and intellectual abuse of children that entails. Your thinking is typically religious. Full of shame and self loathing, failing to notice that the vast majority of people are fair and decent. I do not have to climb over murder victims everyday in a city of millions. I have never seen a murder victim in real life. Get some perspective. We're not "lowly" just because we're not perfect.
@philhellenes No, I did include occult. I meant also all religions made up by man to control and abuse people. My belief is true.
Vast majority of people support wars, abortion and cheat in everything that law doesn't punish, so they are either not fair and decent or they are hypocrits. If you consider yourself good you lie to yourself. You support many of those I listed even by buying products of some world wide corporations which abuses people every day and brainwas minds of consumers.
@philhellenes This is the single greatest thing I have ever heard someone say in response to sensationalism and I am unsure if this is true becuase it is was an inspiring display of wit or because I am so under-read. Either way if you would allow me to quote you for a presentation I am working on I would be very appreciative.
@arachnophile01 I didn't say "my religion". Believing Jesus Christ and obeying his commandments is good.
But well, religion is very similar to the law. Law can also be good or bad. Beliefs of the people which shapes it are crucial. Do you also want to deny law? Are you anarchist?
@LetTheHolySpiritIn Name one negative thing about occultism, if that is supposed to be on the same level as murder, because you propose an hour of silence for each. I can name several things wrong with your religion
@arachnophile01 All the things in occult are connected with a wish to control over either oneself or someone else or time. It feeds ones ego and raises belief in supernatural powers hidden in an human body which is obviously false. Only God has a power to do miracles and we have to entrust his will, because he wants what is best for us and for others. Practicing occultism is a breaking of one of ten commandments, so is murder. You can't name nothing wrong with my belief. Don't fool yourself.
@LetTheHolySpiritIn Trying to control yourself is a good thing. and "I can't name nothing wrong with your belief" does that mean i CAN name SOMETHING wrong with your belief? Okay, I will. Not accepting jesus into your heart is a sin. In other words the THOUGHT that Jesus is not god is a sin. In short, thought crime. Do i even need to explain why this is bad?
@arachnophile01 No, such a imaginary control over yourself is a bad thing. Let's say that at some moment you will gain a convicion that you can levitate just like some occult teach or that you are indestructible and you will not pay attention to any danger because a fortune-teller told you you will die in year 2078. See?
Not accepting that you are under the law leads eventially to crime. Do I need to explain further why not accepting Jesus is a bad thing?
@LetTheHolySpiritIn As I explained before hurting people is a bad thing, and thus crime is a bad thing(hurts people). How about those who will not seek medical treatment because a church leader told them not to?And also, by self control i did not mean magic. if we tip the spectrum the opposite way, let's look at the known effects of no belief in self control:Suicide cults("without me your lives mean nothing" Jim Jones), religious jihad( say, killing doctrors) Hate crimes(group think) and so on
"As I have loved you, so you must love one another."
I love myself as Jesus loves me, so I know how to love others. It helps a lot. There is some error in your reasoning or it is you who listened evil one interpreting bible for you. Quit your false reasoning - be pure, be free from the world.
@LetTheHolySpiritIn lol you are one twisted person, trying to brainwash as your god destroy every brain cells you have in your mind and making you his zombie or a clone such as the other people in his cult. you feel as if the invisible guy would help us...but look at us...you have poor children starving because they prayed, but you pray for luxury of life, but they pray for health for their family and generous. you feel the need to say that they are the one who's destroying the life, but you are
@juanlarios666 You can't possibly say what I pary about. Yes I do pray for those people who are destroyed by your civilization of death. I try to worship my god as he deserves. And I laugh about all foolishness and occult -lol- My brain functions quite well and rational thanks.
@LetTheHolySpiritIn lol yea right lol praying? it's an desprate action, a desprate way of trying to gain confidence what you lost by giving it away to a fallible deity, what should i say, an made up lord, such as the devil and your ridiculous manual of life(BIBLE) . lol you pray what has been done....pray for what can't be saved. maybe you should stand up and do something, instead kneeling down, going to church, praying to your idiocy. change something yourself, then just praying.
@LetTheHolySpiritIn of course fuck shit, i make people happy, and actually make Christians different. Maybe I'll change your way of not believing in Reality then God...
@BlankPicketSign "Wake up and enjoy life, its the only one you'll ever have"
If I am "depressed" then I have to tell you sound very frustrated. This life is the beginning not the end. I hope you will someday experience the peace that I have.
I have recently subscribed to your channel. Of all the channels here dealing with this subject matter, yours inspires me the most. Keep up the good work you fucking monkey!
I would say our greatest achievement, though a sad one, is when we split the atom. Imagine what it takes before an animal has the ability to split an atom. Going to the moon? Bah, that's just moving yourself. But there's something special about splitting an atom. Give it some thought.
Splitting an atom is a good one. But my vote would probably be for synthetic life (announced like a week ago). We can now design and build custom life forms. There is something godlike about that.
@sdrawkcabgnipytmi Oh, cool, I've gotta have a look at that! But in my opinion, tearing apart the building blocks of nature is more symbolic than anything you build out of them. But you've got a good point, definitely. It all comes down to taste. :)
Nice lighting in this video. Makes you look like a Batman villain :D
OK, I admit, I borrowed that expression from another guy whose videos I've subscribed. ;)
Of course the content is just as cool, or even more so. What I really like about your videos is how you are able to wrap seemingly "simple" concepts or ideas into such refined, yes beautiful, words.
(Almost) Nothing of what you tell is really new ideas or insights, but it's HOW you tell it that cuts it.
I love the way you think about things, you are putting on video the same stuff I think about everyday. I find the dullness of religion such a blot on the landscape, such a corrosion of the majesty that we see in the universe and in ourselves, like pulling a thin grey curtain over everything. I sometimes find it hard not to be sad about the things some religious people will never understand or even be able to contemplate.
@nakedapedude I'm right on your wavelength. They (the religious) think they have it so good, and the irony is, they are the poorest amongst us. They're missing out on so much. They're like the fish at the dentists in Finding Nemo, swimming around in their nice bright shiny tank, to frightened to step out of their comfort zone and see whats really out there. So sad.
WE also created religion and war, and WE gleefully developed the capacity to exterminate so many of the other species that share this planet with us. WE are nothing special, WE just are.... All 6.7 billion of us.
It's very odd that we have the intellect to see and understand the negative impact our actions can have on the world, but only have a very limited capacity to change those actions.
What humans have accomplished is no doubt incredible. From our speck of dust we've observed so many of the Universe's secrets.
WITH THAT BEING SAID.
I'm sorry, I just must have higher standards.
Yes we've done a lot; but the vast majority of peoples psychology's are still completely ego-driven. We're still monkeys at heart, those of us that ACT above animals have a future. It's too bad our world is filled with uneducated pricks who think they're above animals simply for being born.
Phil I am happy to say I am a fan of your work and CERN is doing great things with the LHC. I risked reprisal at work by watching the streaming webcast and press release the day they started getting back information from the smashing of the particles. Until you mentioned it, I didnt even look for CERN here. Thanks for the video and the heads up!
You could melt stone with your words kind sir. Every time you post something new, my mind and heart flutters and resigns to a most cherish and neglected humility and awe. Thank you so much.
I cringe every time I hear anything like "only aliens could have built the pyramids". Nooo! Humans did that! And without the benefit of all the science we have today. Stop disrespecting your predecessors (and yourself).
Oh, Puke!! The world is run by human greed, vanity, & debauchery! What's so cool about that? We're without a doubt, the ugliest, most filthy rotten species on the planet!
@ScubaSctimpy I'd be the one to call you a fool, if you can't see the disgusting base nature of the human species by watching T.V. for over an hour. Nothing but lies, disinformation, vanity, and vapid stupidity. It is a generalization because it is the general condition of the human species. Greedy, vain, stupid, filthy, unscrupulous, murdering, liars every last one of them. Just take a look in the mirror.
@TroddinSod If all humans are "Greedy, vain, stupid, filthy, unscrupulous, murdering, liars" isn't it a bit hypocritical of you to take offense to that behavior being a greedy, vain, stupid, filthy, unscrupulous, murdering, liar yourself?
@Nihilist127 Yes, you're right! I shouldn't take offense and accept it as an illogical evolutionary trait that the environment of the Earth naturally selects and fosters. Of course, thinking that sounds a little religious doesn't it? Anyway, perhaps it is the natural course that the world should be run by criminal bankers, corrupting the political, industrial, educational and media systems, and that the majority of homo sapiens don't have clue what's happening. Yes, now that's natural.
@TroddinSod "Greedy, vain, stupid, filthy, unscrupulous, murdering, liars "
i am none of the above so looking in the mirror i see none of that.
i also stopped watching tv a long time ago because i realised it had stopped portraying reality and started portraying fear because it gets higher ratings.
@ScubaSctimpy It's good to see you're able to look at T.V. critically. Most people accept the delusions mass media promulgates as truth. It's the core of how fucked up a species we are. I'm glad for you that you are an exception. I guess the only thing for you left to do, is make a lot of children to carry that gene to the next generation even though they'll still be a very small minority. As a species as a whole, where a bunch of deluded dumb asses easily manipulated by deceit.
@TroddinSod Sorry troddin i don't plan on helping to make our problems worse by contributing to the over population of our planet, though i may adopt instead. as far as genes go i would argue that we are just as much a product of our environment, you don't need to be so smart if you are taught to think critically for example.
@ScubaSctimpy "... i also stopped watching tv a long time ago because i realised it had stopped portraying reality and started portraying fear because it gets higher ratings."
I too, stopped watching TV long ago. Most of what is offered on TV is an incredible waste of time, diverting the mind from productive thought and turning it off instead.
@216trixie Yes, perhaps I'm religious but not as much as philhellenes, who has a religious delusion of virtue in our species thriving to murder, rape, steal, lie, exhort, pollute, delude, and have hope that, banker sycophant Obama, will bring 'change' in doing everything the same as Bush.
@TroddinSod I look at life and the world, and all the horrible things you mentioned, and I see that most of the time, life is good. Most of the time, most people, are not hurting anyone. Violence is an exception to normal daily life, for most people, most of the time. Our perspectives are different, i guess.
@216trixie It's funny that people put so much stock in their meager interpretations of things. After all all, some people think Brittany Spears is a good singer. So, when you say; "life is good" you wouldn't happen to be living in Iraq at the moment? And if not, are you planning to vacation there soon? I'd also like to recommend Somalia. If you career hunting, perhaps an internship at Nike's slave labor camps in communist China - you know the most favored trade nation with the U.S.
"If we are merely matter intricately assembled, is this really demeaning? If there's nothing in here but atoms, does that make us less or does that make matter more?" - Carl Sagan
@lifeline369 Unfortunately, natural selection and survival of the fittest are THE biggest components in evolution. Modern medicine, and political correctness have stamped them out.
I don't think evolution will be kind to humanity in the future.
Yet you seem to think that it's the smaller, less significant part of human history; when instead, by any reasonable standard, that is the bulk of our history.
That somehow the pointless, unnecessary chase of our desire justifies the horrors we commit. That a piece of art is worth a piece of flesh.
I am disgusted to be a member of the human species.
@TheMaleWithNoName actually it dealt with everything and the meaning is the politicians and religious morons that call the shots and misuse the power that they have causing suffering in their wake, are more than balanced out by the masses of individuals who have not corrupted, on balance the good that we do as a species outweighs anything we have done in the past that has had a negative impact on us or the planet
"..balanced out by the masses of individuals who have not corrupted, on balance the good that we do as a species outweighs anything we have done..."
No sale. Like I already said; we torment and torture billions of animals every year. 2 billion people live in shit every year. We have constant wars. What do you have to counter only those three examples, which cause trillions and trillions amount of suffering every year?
This is not the actions of a select few; this is humanity.
@TheMaleWithNoName what you have also forgotten is that the sacrifices of animals as well as our species have paved the way for a global increase in the standard of living. what you fail to understand is that nations in poverty are better off today than they were 500 years ago, our world is slowly improving and the future can only get brighter in the long run
"better off today than they were 500 years ago, our world is slowly improving"
Again no sale. There are more people living in poverty than ever before (and I'd like to see some evidence that the shit isn't as shit). More animals are being fucked than ever before. More wars are happening than ever before.
Furthermore (again) like I already said; this progress of life is to nowhere, for no reason. We are paying an unimaginable price for something that doesn't even need to be bought
@ScubaSctimpy agreed scuba. we would all still be living in caves if not for modern life. TMWNN says that more people are living in poverty today, well 500 years ago EVERYBODY was living in poverty, even the rich by todays standards. education was non existent and disease was rampant throughout the world. TMWNN is a pessimest who closes his eyes to the truth. and choses to be ignorant
500 years ago there didn't exist 7 billion people. There didn't even exist 2 billion people so your argument fails.
As you've both rightly pointed out, life was shit in the past, but that doesn't justify it being shit now. And the fact is it's A LOT more shit now, and for A LOT more sentient organisms.
"closes his eyes to the truth. and choses to be ignorant"
Quote where I have said something untrue and demonstrated ignorance.
Humanity has caused an unimaginable amount of suffering. We torment and torture billions of animals every year. 2 billion people live in shit every year. We have constant wars. Not to mention the literally countless amount of events on a smaller scale.
I hate to point this out but Christopher Hitchens & Richard Dawkins have both pointed out that MANKIND is responsible for dragging itself to where it is now & deserves all of the credit......WE are as close to GODS as any life forms known to us. Evidence shows that can be good & bad....maybe worse than the biblical god but definitely BETTER.
the rising ape has so much beauty to it so much that I cringe when it is rejected. In a rejection that take the coolness the morality the productivity and worst make the integuments that make this animal the ruler of the land the worst part of use this is why I am antithesis
Speaking of human evolutionary past, if you google "shanidar cave" you will find (on wikepedia) that the premodern human fossil by the name "shanidar I" which is said to have lived to the age of 30-45 despite a crippling accident that happened at a young age which left him unable to care for himself.
People like to think human compassion is something that modern society teaches despite evidence that shows tens, maybe hundreds of thousands of years ago, we cared for our sick and those in need
I'm sorry Phil but I will have to disagree with you on one point, you said we humans are the coolest animals but I think you're wrong, I think beavers are the coolest animals. Think about this, how many wars have beavers started? How industrious are beavers?
For all our intelligence, we are a pretty messed up species, perhaps because of our higher thinking ability???
@Mglosk I saw that story too, one thing I read about it is that the scientists studying it think it may be about 40 years old or even older, talk about working together for the betterment of the whole community!
@TheGodlessGuitarist Jests in contextual humor should not be taken literally, at least with this statement; nor should one assume a judgement on such a minuscule comment as it is but a remark toward a theme in the video. You laughed, others will too...it is why I shared.
One of the things I hate most about religions is how they call everyone sinners and that they need to be forgiven. I do not need to be forgiven for anything!!!! We should not have to feel one ounce of shame of what we are and where we come from. And thats what religions do they spread the shame and guilt around.
@DjetGlea "One of the things I hate most about religions is how they call everyone sinners"
Yeah, that's Step 1 when inventing a religion, remove all their self worth and fill them with self loathing. Even the AA uses this technique but a little less radically. Everyone has to say "Hi my name is XXX and I'm an alcoholic." Then they go on to admit they're powerless and need to appeal to a higher power. AA is a religion on its own. But the technique is classical brainwashing. Pity some cant see.
How we were truly created; From exploding stars in the early universe, to bacterium, all the way down to apes, then us.. is infinitely more beautiful to think about than just.. coming from a handfull of dirt.
You might be interested to learn that a video on evolution gave me an epiphany beyond anything I have ever experienced in Christian, Mahometan, Buddhist, or Hindou any temple or ceremony. Understanding evolution was more enlightening than any holy book I've ever read.
Well said indeed. Not to put a dampener on it, but... We are currently in a position of great power without great wisdom. We, as a species do not yet fully recognise our animal heritage, with all that that brings, good and bad. We have also, or is it also a part of it, been pretty good at shitting in our own nest.
cheers

I discuss: genetics, mutations, natural selection, fossils, genetic/biological similarities between species.

because they are, from the PoV of the animals, so to speak, not evolving, simply improving.

I have been watching your videos and though I have not found anything that I would disagree with, I unfortunately do not share your love for, nor faith in humanity. I would rather say things like; In our attempts to become less animal like we have actually manage to become more animal like, than even the animals themselves!
Science, like religion in my opinion are both merely our fight with nature, not being able to accept the horrific intent of life!
thenatureinme 1 year ago
what REALLY made us so cool is that we chose to stop listening to nature. We have decided that its time to stop being bended by nature, driven to survival. We've decided that we make our rules and started fighting against nature, creating our own rules, our comfortable way of living and eventually our own sets of rules in our natural habitat. But that's also why I fucking hate humans....

LetTheHolySpiritIn 1 year ago
@LetTheHolySpiritIn You didn't include religious brainwashing and all the mental and intellectual abuse of children that entails. Your thinking is typically religious. Full of shame and self loathing, failing to notice that the vast majority of people are fair and decent. I do not have to climb over murder victims everyday in a city of millions. I have never seen a murder victim in real life. Get some perspective. We're not "lowly" just because we're not perfect.
philhellenes 1 year ago 57
@philhellenes No, I did include occult. I meant also all religions made up by man to control and abuse people. My belief is true.
Vast majority of people support wars, abortion and cheat in everything that law doesn't punish, so they are either not fair and decent or they are hypocrits. If you consider yourself good you lie to yourself. You support many of those I listed even by buying products of some world wide corporations which abuses people every day and brainwas minds of consumers.

@LetTheHolySpiritIn So religion is good( your religion) but religion is bad(occultism)
arachnophile01 1 year ago
@arachnophile01 I didn't say "my religion". Believing Jesus Christ and obeying his commandments is good.
But well, religion is very similar to the law. Law can also be good or bad. Beliefs of the people which shapes it are crucial. Do you also want to deny law? Are you anarchist?
LetTheHolySpiritIn 1 year ago
@LetTheHolySpiritIn Name one negative thing about occultism, if that is supposed to be on the same level as murder, because you propose an hour of silence for each. I can name several things wrong with your religion
arachnophile01 1 year ago
@arachnophile01 All the things in occult are connected with a wish to control over either oneself or someone else or time. It feeds ones ego and raises belief in supernatural powers hidden in an human body which is obviously false. Only God has a power to do miracles and we have to entrust his will, because he wants what is best for us and for others. Practicing occultism is a breaking of one of ten commandments, so is murder. You can't name nothing wrong with my belief. Don't fool yourself.
LetTheHolySpiritIn 1 year ago
@LetTheHolySpiritIn Trying to control yourself is a good thing. and "I can't name nothing wrong with your belief" does that mean i CAN name SOMETHING wrong with your belief? Okay, I will. Not accepting jesus into your heart is a sin. In other words the THOUGHT that Jesus is not god is a sin. In short, thought crime. Do i even need to explain why this is bad?
arachnophile01 1 year ago
@arachnophile01 No, such a imaginary control over yourself is a bad thing. Let's say that at some moment you will gain a convicion that you can levitate just like some occult teach or that you are indestructible and you will not pay attention to any danger because a fortune-teller told you you will die in year 2078. See?
Not accepting that you are under the law leads eventially to crime. Do I need to explain further why not accepting Jesus is a bad thing?
LetTheHolySpiritIn 1 year ago
@LetTheHolySpiritIn As I explained before hurting people is a bad thing, and thus crime is a bad thing(hurts people). How about those who will not seek medical treatment because a church leader told them not to?And also, by self control i did not mean magic. if we tip the spectrum the opposite way, let's look at the known effects of no belief in self control:Suicide cults("without me your lives mean nothing" Jim Jones), religious jihad( say, killing doctrors) Hate crimes(group think) and so on
arachnophile01 1 year ago
@LetTheHolySpiritIn
Have you ever thought that self-loathing is a gateway to hell?
How does this help you in life?
You have utterly missed the point here.
I also think that you should go back and read your scripture again. And again. Without anyone "interpreting" it for you.
You'll find that most of the cruelties you are railing against are actually sanctioned and approved by scripture.
I too despair often at mankind's cruelty and ignorance. But I also marvel at it's acheivements and gifts.

I would say our greatest achievement, though a sad one, is when we split the atom. Imagine what it takes before an animal has the ability to split an atom. Going to the moon? Bah, that's just moving yourself. But there's something special about splitting an atom. Give it some thought.

I love the way you think about things, you are putting on video the same stuff I think about everyday. I find the dullness of religion such a blot on the landscape, such a corrosion of the majesty that we see in the universe and in ourselves, like pulling a thin grey curtain over everything. I sometimes find it hard not to be sad about the things some religious people will never understand or even be able to contemplate.
nakedapedude 1 year ago
@nakedapedude I'm right on your wavelength. They (the religious) think they have it so good, and the irony is, they are the poorest amongst us. They're missing out on so much. WE also created religion and war, and WE gleefully developed the capacity to exterminate so many of the other species that share this planet with us. WE are nothing special, WE just are.... All 6.7 billion of us.

Nihilist127 1 year ago
@Nihilist127 Yes, you're right! I shouldn't take offense and accept it as an illogical evolutionary trait that the environment of the Earth naturally selects and fosters. Of course, thinking that sounds a little religious doesn't it? Anyway, perhaps it is the natural course that the world should be run by criminal bankers, corrupting the political, industrial, educational and media systems, and that the majority of homo sapiens don't have clue what's happening. Yes, now that's natural.

ScubaSctimpy 1 year ago
@ScubaSctimpy It's good to see you're able to look at T.V. critically. Most people accept the delusions mass media promulgates as truth. It's the core of how fucked up a species we are. I'm glad for you that you are an exception. I guess the only thing for you left to do, is make a lot of children to carry that gene to the next generation even though they'll still be a very small minority. As a species as a whole, where a bunch of deluded dumb asses easily manipulated by deceit.
TroddinSod 1 year ago
@TroddinSod Sorry troddin i don't plan on helping to make our problems worse by contributing to the over population of our planet, though i may adopt instead. as far as genes go i would argue that we are just as much a product of our environment, you don't need to be so smart if you are taught to think critically for example.

@TroddinSod I look at life and the world, and all the horrible things you mentioned, and I see that most of the time, life is good. Most of the time, most people, are not hurting anyone. Violence is an exception to normal daily life, for most people, most of the time. Our perspectives are different, i guess.
216trixie 1 year ago
@216trixie It's funny that people put so much stock in their meager interpretations of things. After all all, some people think Brittany Spears is a good singer. So, when you say; "life is good" you wouldn't happen to be living in Iraq at the moment? And if not, are you planning to vacation there soon? I'd also like to recommend Somalia. If you career hunting, perhaps an internship at Nike's slave labor camps in communist China - you know the most favored trade nation with the U.S.

I wonder where evolution will take us next?
lifeline369 1 year ago

TheMaleWithNoName 1 year ago
@TheMaleWithNoName what you have also forgotten is that the sacrifices of animals as well as our species have paved the way for a global increase in the standard of living. what you fail to understand is that nations in poverty are better off today than they were 500 years ago, our world is slowly improving and the future can only get brighter in the long run
ScubaSctimpy 1 year ago
@ScubaSctimpy
TheMaleWithNoName 1 year ago

Just sayin....Glad you made a video about it too.

And I'm way ahead of you about the CERNTV channel.
Do it people! It's the most amazing thing in human history! And we get to witness the results!
They just recently fired that baby up to 7tev............that blows my mind!

AbdultheImpailler 1 year ago
@AbdultheImpailler Not to mention that beavers just recently created one of the largest dams in the world, if not the largest, and without machinery.

One of the things I hate most about religions is how they call everyone sinners and that they need to be forgiven. I do not need to be forgiven for anything!!!! We should not have to feel one ounce of shame of what we are and where we come from. And thats what religions do they spread the shame and guilt around.
DjetGlea 1 year ago 5

Dirt..
Not even a lorry full! A handfull.. of dirt..
Great..
