  • if i'm using a gamecube controller what do i do

  • who actually uses the wii wheel... what an awful way to control the game.

  • @246trinitrotoluene full effectt. i use it. i cant do it withoutt. fyiiii.

  • 0:18 phail

  • I have a better more efficient way. If using GCN or WiiWheel (I suggest GCN cause its easier) just simply press the wheelie button over, and over again.

Or with WiiWheel, shake and shake and shake.

  • @WaterWarfareMaster only works with bikes...

  • @PhantoMNiGHT321 Noo... <.<

  • @WaterWarfareMaster yeah sorry about that. I just recently tried it myself with a car and it worked. It never used to work with me, sorry.

  • @PhantoMNiGHT321 Naw its cool bro.

  • Did you have hacks to do that?

  • SHAKE THE DAMN WII REMOTE ITS EASYER. THUMBS UP IF YOU AGREE.

  • @jolvera172 It's easier, but you will lose your items if you shake instead of pressing B

  • Weird Music....Nice Vid...btw..I Thought U Shake The Wii Remote To Escape it..I Tried It And It Worked...But This Is New O_o

  • I idk how did i avoid the pow block so i type this up :)

  • I like this video, but the comments that say "shake" on the third strike. Seriously, that knocks out all your items. And if you're in first place with a saved mushroom or more (for the easy dodge against blue shell), the hop would REALLY help.

  • thats smart, you dodged it regularly without losing an item

  • That's right Rambosee

  • i avoid it by just shaking the remote :P

  • I WILL TRY THIS AND WE WILL SEE OK WE WILL SEE I AM DA VERDICT

  • wow u can b in the air also........

  • @YovilleDrummer but your driving not flying

  • All you have to do is shake the wii remote really hard, while keeping your character straight (in other words, don't make any turns while doing this). It works every time for me. However, I don't use the wii wheel. I use the nunchuck with the wii remote.

  • Or just flick ur weel up like normal folk for thoes who dont drift...

  • What kind of gimmick are you trying to pull here? I did press jump like you asked but I spun out...

  • @HoneycombAgent wow man the pow block is like a earthquake u have to be of the ground to avoid how hard i knew this shit allready on mario bros 3 on the ness damn

  • ib the gamecube controller i press up on the d pad and it dodges and i dnt hop :o

  • Wait.

So lets say that you're holding an item and 1... 2... 3... *jumps in the air* POW!!!

Will you still keep you're item if you use this method?

  • Nice choice of song! "Hold that sucker down" in Mario Kart would be awesome...

  • umm dude, u just used the upturn at 0:09 to jump higher, which is great but really, u cannot avoid a POW with only 1 hop....

  • EASY

  • there's to ways to avoid the POW block to shake it and then you will hop

  • wow u need to be using manual

  • at 20 seconds, first place falls in the water and reappears back in front right away, somebody please explain this to me because i see it all the time, yet when i fall it takes a few seconds. Is it hacking or what?

  • @gcbyna1 I think i might be able to help u if it is being done and ur playing online more then likly its a hack i would say cuase i have seen that done to its quite frustrating wouldnt u agree? And if it is being done in grand prix its simply becuase they can do it all i get hit by one cpu player or one online player and i end up in like 10th place but i hit them over and over again and there they are ready to pass ya and laugh in ur face for it lol so that would be my awnser to that

  • just shake the wheel then you spin around but you dont slow down

  • even if there wasnt a height level change, its still posibble, u just have to jump at the right timing

  • The best way is the shake the wii remote but I didn't know you could just jump to avoid it

  • @ninetalescommander You can't, didn't you see that he jumped a little but higher since there was a height level change?

  • @BrawlerJesse

To be honest, I couldn't tell but I assumed he did because he didn't do a jump while turning like you do with the remote shake

    So what did he actually?

  • well you can dodge pow blocks with bikes by pressing the up button or doing wheely but pressing the up button also works for karts. it only works if you press it rapidly. and this guy only dodged the pow block because he hopped at the top of the hill.

  • @MrSomerfeild shake the wii remote...works for everything

  • I don't get, how do we dodge it?

  • I think some people aren't getting it. This FULLY avoids the POW, unlike the wheelie trick or the wii wheel shake on the third hit, that takes away your item. Gonna test now if it does. XD

  • you can use a wheelie to dodge it too you dont actually dodge it but you dont get slowed down either

  • to dodge the pow

umm just do a wheelie and you get a boost from it

  • HE DID NOT USE HACK,S DUMMY,S Grrrrr

  • Cool

    Wow

I LOVE YOU geting hit by POW block,s is my specialty!!!NOT I don't have a wii but if I get a wii and Mario kart wii I'll. No how doge a POW block...by

  • Press z then jump right before the hit.

  • ur on wi-fi

  • He went on a bump. I can see it

  • This isn't hacked because the POW block only shakes up the ground and if you're not on the ground, it won't effect you. (I thought I might explain it to the people who are a bit cynical that this isn't a hack and DON'T MOUTH ME FOR THIS COMMENT)

  • Online hacker at 00:19, you can see she falls off and is like 'teleported' back on. :o

  • @GrenadeApple3 that happens to me all the time! i never understood how. but now i do.

  • @GrenadeApple3 This is not a lie, Unlike the cake.

  • @crazedpivotguy1234 Cake, what do you mean xD?

  • @crazedpivotguy1234 omg portal reference lololol!!!

  • @Zwepo9 LOLOLOLOLLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL

  • you can press B right as the POW hits, i think its harder but its better because you dont lose your item or you can just shake your controller (cant be GC controller) which is more effective but you lose your item

  • this is RUBBISH no offense

  • anyone who wants 2 add me my friend code for mario kart wii is 4554-9787-5711

  • or just shake as hard as you can.

  • i know 2nd method to dodge it u need to be by a trick path and have someone to a pow if u do the trick when it is in its 3rd form,u will dodge it and keep ur thing.hope i helped. :D

  • @maaladca What the fuck?

  • what track?

  • or......just shake the wii wheel on da third hit.

  • @Rambosee yeah, that's how i do it

  • @BakuMamX yea, this is the easy way. The cost though, is losing your items. The hard way as shown in the video, if you succeed, you keep your items! =P I still prefer shake.

  • @Rambosee

You lose items that way 7.7

  • @Rambosee you still get the spin though

  • Or you could shake your remote (if your using that) when the POW seems to be in its last form. (most squished.) But, that was actually pretty cool. =3

  • @Colorball54 thats wat i do

    shake the wii remote

  • @Cnrd15

You hold down the B Button and turn the wheel to drift like a RWD car does ie sometimes you need opposite lock. The B button also jumps like in this video when you are moving in a straight line. When racing in manual you use the + direction key on the front of the wheel to use what you collect from the boxes. Forward to throw in front or backwards to throw behind. Hope this helps you :)

  • @Cnrd15 when atomatic or manual comes on the screen choose manual

  • what sick fool would give so many negative responses to your simple question?

  • You were on the up from the ramp which is why your jump got enough air time. It would not work otherwise.

  • i already knew that but nice vid

  • so... ya HAVE to be in the air???

  • @DeeandEd you cant just get in the air whenever you want

  • So tap B like a f**king mad man?

  • @FlamingDew basically :p

    *loved this reply*

  • cool u can also avoid it if u shake the wii mote just in time that is what i do :)

  • I think the POW block only works on ground because its like an earthquake.

  • i did something similar to this, i didn't mean to but on bowser's castle i had just got to the top of the steps and was in the air for like a millesecond and was saved and kept my 1st place!

  • I have did that one time, you need to jump at exact the right moment! It works!

  • hmm, how to pow block in automatic?

  • @dirtycerise dont use automatic it messes you up so much lol You need to be able to chose whether you slide or not

  • I know how to do that. in that place he jump it was a little ramp and when the pow block come he jump(is not cheat.hack or fake). Good idea

  • repeatadly tap the brakes and you''ll bounce like that.

  • i dodge by jus shaking the remote on the 3rd rumble

  • I did this one in DS Delfino Square. Hopped before the stairs where the track splits.

  • shut the fuck up

  • what i do is i flick the wii romote forward and i still spin and lose my item, but i dont slow down

  • thats watz suppose to happen bcuz pow doesnt affect those in the air and he was kinda in the air so it didnt affect them

  • so basically you just hopped that little hop before you start drifting to escape the POW?

And btw if you shake the remote you will still lose your items and you will not be able to change direction for a second there. You may hit a wall or fall off, especially if you are approaching a sharp curve.

  • but that way is cool to

  • dude its easy all u have to do is shake the wii remote with the gamecube controller use the controll pad my cousin told me and the gamecube is easy with to do it

  • what u dont understand, is that if u shake the wiimote, or use the control pad on gamecube, u also lose all your items, and if you're turning at the same time the POW block hits, you have a chance of falling off the edge

  • yea u right

  • It's possible everevywhere where there is a ground like :

    | Turn your head.

    \ \

I avoided two pow blocks in one race in DDR.

  • U Can shake it aswell!

  • an easier way just make a bop jump before the last shake and you will avoid it!

  • Just shake the wii wheel ! Anyway

  • shake the wii remote up and down to recover form pow or be in the air thats how i avoid pow

  • The air.

  • Comment removed

  • B button

  • the reason this worked was because he jumped just before the little lump so bassicly it was an air dodge

  • how do u do it tho?

  • i only know you can avoid it with motercycle and then preform a wheelie

  • u can also avoid by shaking controler when it is on last pow, if ur in automatic. u will still lose ur item but u wont spin as much, only like twice

  • also when you about to fall off :)

  • Comment removed

  • he just pressed B on malual 4 drift lol

  • Its Easier If u Just Shake The wii Remote. You only Spin once.

  • and you won't lose speed. make sure your not in a turn, tough.

  • goooooooood

  • can you avoid the pow on automatic?

  • yeah you can, but with auto you have to kinda flick the wheel and it gets rid of your item.

  • does this work for the GC controller?

  • yea it does but the way he did it was on manual u just got to jump( jump drift ) with its about to end

  • u make it look easy

  • How you avoid a pow block?

  • is logic that jumping u can avoid the POW block, because in the mario brothers, you push the POW block and all the enemies was hit by a "POW" of the floor, so jump has the most percent to avoid it.

  • i dont think he is lagging if you drift then you hop i think he was just hopping

  • Shake The Wii Mote And Boom Avoided

  • well sorta, you still spin and loose an item and you cant do that with the gamecube controller so he is just shoing us a better way

  • dude u can do it with a game cube controller but u just got to be on manual to do the way he did

  • just get to the air duh its obious isn't it?

  • i knew how to do it i just watched it for fun lol

    thnx

  • if youre using a wii wheel just jerk the wheel (like you would be if doing a trick off of a jump) right at the last second of the POW. You can avoid it.

  • Lot easier to just tilt the wii remote (or wheel) up, not a big deal to loose your item!

  • That's usually the case, TBH i think if you can find a slight upward slope to do it do it... no point losing an item if you think you may need it later....

Unless that's where you intended on dropping it.

Wow, I'm REALLLY hard thinking about this. Tilting the wheel up will apply for 95% of the race time... the other 5% is air time from tricks/instant shooter sections

  • im know i agree

it's not like u have a bullet bill

if u do, which is rare, just use it!

    right?

  • it's more usefull to find a small slope and try to jump at it's peak for longer air time

i still try to nail the jump tech consistently, but it's pretty hard during a race..

has anyone noticed the #1 and #2 battling?

one of the two bumps the "japanese" driver in the water to the left, and suddenly he reappears and keeps on racing!!?

    CHEATZ!!?

it's a shame Wii is hackable. people going Bullet Bill at Start are very frustrating :s and it's such an utterly pointless way of earning high ranking...

  • dudeeeee its call lag he isnt cheating

Also being in longer air time is bad because you can lose time and lose some lead its better to try to reach the ground quickly. The best thing is just keeping shaking the remote when you see a pow and you'll only do only spin no big deal if you lose the item.

  • imo it's still weird 0:18

he obviously gets pushed into the water... after a fall it's impossible to get back on the track in nearly the same position as before he fell...

i can't imagine it happening due to lag...

the trick with shaking your wii-mote wildly when you get POWnd is very usefull indeed; you will lose your items, but at least you won't lose too much speed

  • that must explain y after this person disappeared behind me then reappeared in front of me

  • that would be lag, it never actually happened, it just looked like it

  • would this work on a bike? Does it even work?

  • automatic can block POW blocks too u know. for wii wheel when a pow block comes just flick up the wheel when its about to pow u

  • there is another EASIER way

  • you must be on manual mode to jump

  • Can you jump on all characters to avoid it?

  • oh, so you just have to be in the air...

  • hack

  • Never could get it to work for me (and I'm no Mario Kart newbie).

  • whats that song?

  • do u NOT no wut a description is?

  • To put this another way, You just need to get a little bit of hight and then when that POW comes, you just need to make sure that you are off of the ground.

  • Omg, at 0:20 one of the guys is pushed of,but suddenly regens, how does that happen???

  • it's wi-fi lol that happens all the time

  • it almost works

  • It dont work, but ive got another way, when the third 'rumble' comes jolt the remote up, :) you might lose ur stuff but you can still go on, (Im not trying to b mean or anything im just saying)

  • Jump as much as possible as its above you? Is this foolproof?

  • no lol your supost to shake the wheel when its above you and you can dodge it this dont work

  • ok how can this be done on a GC controller?

  • idk but why would you wanna play with a GC controller? lol

  • One, better handling

Two, no batteries to give out in the middle of a race

Three, I just seem to race A LOT better.

  • I agree. The wiimote is gimicky for this game. I love this game, i just prefer to play with a GCN controller

  • yep

  • This does work, it's better this way because you keep your item, I don't use it because I use auto and secondly I find dodging it the usual way hard enough sometimes. Haha.

  • i dodged a pow block and at that same moment i hopped over a car in coconut mall

  • what is the point in pow if its that simple to dodge

  • 1. you don't have any items.

    2. You can just flick the wii mote or wii wheel up to avoid it.

You'll spin slightly and lose items, but you still keep your speed.

  • Good one, thx 4 the advice!

  • i have been trying sooo hard to avoid POW with the hop but it never works

  • be in the air! lol

  • lol i knew that since i first got the game, i knew how to do it because i had mario kart ds and i loved bouncing so i did it randomly and i dodged it.

  • how u jump??? lmao

  • the drift button 1 just touch it a sec and you jump!

  • O.KAY!

  • the timing needs to be perfect..it hard to do

  • Either jump or shake the wheel. It works either way.
