blackened deathcore? WTF

This sounds soooooooo different than their other stuff ive heard (first 3 albums + panzer division). It honestly sounds like Blackened Deathcore. Or Blackened Death Metal at the very least. Its strayed beyond just pure black metal now. And yeah, i know, ill probably get flamed for that, but am i only one that thinks this sounds like blackened deathcore? i really dont like this album that much compared to the others ive heard, which i love

@ADeadlierSnake i think marduk can still be considered black metal, yeah you'r right, on this album they went pretty progressive, abandoning the classic black metal instrumentation and chosen more complicated song structures typical to death metal stuff, about the voice though i think it still retains the black metal unique style of singing, anyway, overall yes you are right, they went really progressive and if you stay and think for a while, the quality of the recording isn't very black metal

@Issverr Yeah, i take back saying it sounded like deathcore (when i wrote that comment i was still a bit unsure of what separated deatcore from certain death metal songs). But i still think it sounds quite death metal ish. And tbh, the vocals dont even sound very black metal to me. They dont sound high pitched enough.... And youre right about the recording quality.

@TheRagman666 hmmm in Morgan's words he says he hopes people think of Marduk as the "motorhead of black metal, when a new album comes out you know what you are going to get" with that said while very much a marduk album I really really enjoyed this most recent album and IMO there is a decent amount of variety there
