  • way fucking cool

  • how come we can hear him hitting the strings on his guitar his amp was too low

  • geo....still got it...

  • and for the record, EDDIE VAN HALEN IS A LEGEN D. Stop talking what you know nothing of. Seriously, Mashiro Chan? You must listen with your ass and use your ears for finger holders

  • he was better in Dokken. I understand you all will ravage me with harsh, non soft spoken words, but this is sloppy.

  • @DaredevilsplayguitaR George is his own man and he is just jammin nothing serious so fuck you asshole

  • I ask this constantly! WHY THE HELL ARE THEY NOT ON VH1?! PLEASE GOD! JUST GIVE US SOMEONE! MAYBE EVEN GIVE US HENDRIX! I DON'T CARE! AS LONG AS I DON'T HEAR ANOTHER MAINSTREAM HIP HOP SONG FOR THE NEXT 10-20 YEARS!

  • Very sloppy

  • Jak do k.... nędzy może on tak nawalać w tą gitarę. Do not listen to his music! He is crazy man!

  • Kirk and George are two different players ......ya moron !!!

  • Mr. Lynch is THE MAN. Take some lessons Mr. Van Halen, and someday you may be half as good. I used to be an Eddie Van Halen disciple until I started to worship the true God of guitar. Mr. George Lynch

  • @MashiroChan92 If you think Lynch is anywhere even close to Eddie Van Halen you are drunk. I like George but Eddie is a legend. No one in the last 30+ years has impacted rock guitar like Eddie Van Halen, that is a fact. Half as good???....please. You are either tone deaf or talent blind.

  • @johnnyguitar65 Sorry I'm the real person who owns this youtube account I accidently left mine online and well my uncle had to comment on stuff. I don't watch this sort of thing and I'm not into it sorry about that

  • he would be a thousend times faster without the big ring.... very sure..!

  • I think George should invite me out there for a weekend mescaline induced hopey Indian jam complete with 12 oz sirloins, tons of beer and browning 50 caliber machine gun cook-offs.

  • Incredible technique (wish I had that speed and dexterity!) but not much in the way of musicality. I know shredding fans will disagree. It's just not a style that appeals to me. Still, I'd love to have a desert setup to play as loudly as I wanted.

  • Pretty sure George is the only guy that invented a guitar scale...To me that's say's alot..plus he always has awesome tone..not to mention skill..

  • I'm a BIG BIG Metallica fan, but i haven't problem to say that Kirk can't play like George.

    It's the true guys

  • @wercide same man I'm a huge fan of them but we must admit he has become sloppy over the time...

  • sounds like Van Halen

  • The man could go for hours.

  • @High5Brah you sir do not know the sound of incredible guitar playing

  • @High5Brah

Really, lol it's sad you think so little to know when someone is a fantastic musician, I bet you think bands like Seether are good.

  • i'm waiting for some damn natives to pop outta the rocks and start shooting him with arrows

  • George Gettin' his rock's off!

  • This shit is sick. I'm sorry to have to resort to that type of language, but this is incredible. He has a wall of cabs blasting into the desert. There's no way that the dynamics of that natural environment aren't captured. It's just amazing. Huge sound!

  • HE IS THE MOST EXPLOSIVE GUITAR I EVER HEARD.I AM NOT SAYING THE BEST, WHICH IN SOME ASPECTS HE MIGHT BE.BUT I LISTEN TO HIM AND I IMAGINE THE GUITAR DESTROYED AFTER HIS PLAYS.

  • The only thing that would have made this video any better would be a drunken Hunter S. Thompson standing a few feet in the background shooting shit with his massive gun collection, occasionally yelling "Take that MOTHERFUCKER!!".

  • LARGE AND IN CHARGE!

SUPER BOSS HOGGIN' ON THIS SHEET>....

    FARQUIN' JC ON THE STRINGS....

    YOU KNOW THIS>....

LYNCH IS IN HIS ELEMENT DOING JUST THIS....he is FEEDING OFF THE FEELING...you can see it....thanks for posting. Made my tits hard!

  • See, this is how i want to retire. Live in the middle of nowhere, buy many extensions, and another 4x12 cab, and hook my head up to it a quarter mile away so i can blast on level 10. Maybe go one louder, to 11.

  • @jfkdjfd yes, and it forces you to play clean

  • That was fucking Awsome, Lynch is a madman! I would love to sit on that rock and hear this, Hey Lynch can you show me a thing or two.(Sure Dude)

  • ...people who use the word 'hater' ate ghetto chim chims...I think LYNCH is top 5 equal to EDDIE/STEVIE/JIMI...

...the desert is...the DESERT beachfront jammin is the thing man. but george can jam anywhere he wants...if a lameassd cop shows up just peg him in the head like Bill Cooper did to those AZ racist h0m0s...DOKKEN forever.

  • Brilliant Mr. Lynch, move to the middle of nowhere for no more noise complaints. I must move to a desert

  • You know all of the music vids posted during this encounter capture George freestyle soloing over a track playing through the headphones he's wearing. Watch the whole of the Key of Noise vid - the rhythm track comes in halfway through and everything makes a whole lotta sense.

  • whats name is the intro song???

  • He sounds good. But what's up with is sloppy ass picking. He's to lazy to hone in on his picking skills. If he had better control I think it would end the world.

  • No neighbors to call the cops...Well played Mr. Lynch!

  • Must be a lot of rocked out & deaf rattlesnakes in those rocks....lol

  • hahaha how do you stumble upon some shredders secret layer in the desert

  • Haters: post your reply vid showing us all your great skills, amazing tones, and distinctive styles. Or better yet, just shut the hell up and go comment on vids you like. George Lynch's pinky is more important (and talented) than you'll ever be.

  • @supahz HAAAAAAA yeah ok, the guy is a total ripp off and has nothing new --never did to bring. He might be a nice dude, but he is average AT BEST. the guy is a 1 picked 45 hammer on -pull off pintch harmonics addict.I can play like this in my fucking sleep

  • @TheZayne34 You could always, you know upload a video of you doing it instead of just talking smack.

  • ดื่ม โคคา โคล่า

  • desert studio?! so fucking cool!

  • Simply a monster on the guitar...none before, and doubtful none to follow!

  • Awesome!!

  • hah I love that you can actually hear his picking, to awesome! LONG LIVE LYNCH!!!

  • Thats what im gonna do first summer of from work.. Buy two full stacks, but them outside, volume knobs 10 and shred like hole fucking summer, one thing only beside that.. ill drink. if i dont blow any tubes, ill buy a shittier amps next summer.

  • My guess is he's soloing over the track coming through his headphones - watch the whole of the key of noise vid - the track comes in halfway through and it all comes together.

  • By far one of my all-time favs. Just listening to him noodling is hella cool.

  • this dude just put eddie van halen to SHAME!!!!!!

  • lynch plays better when his older more better styles and is clearer

  • I soooo respect this particular guitar and Lynch...what else is there to say. Bring it George!!!!

  • lucky desert animals!!!

  • it's George Lynch.. what more do you need to say ?

  • This is hilariously cool! He just threw up some amps and blasted them in the middle of the desert?! LOL! Wow! How cool!

  • Not something I'd extract the mp3 file from to play at the gym on the ipod, but just typical George stuff. You can tell George straight off the bat - he definitely is unique, whether you like his playing or not. But I do wish he'd ditch that stupid hat. Oh, and that's the craziest wedding ring I've ever seen, lol!

  • ... all nice.. just a thing .. burn that shirt..

  • a studio in the desert.......he would haha

  • è forte giorgione! pure nel deserto! big rocker!!!!

  • haha he just comes out of the house smoking

  • Nice Vid, liked it and won't say anything bad about it, i'm amateur anyway, but i can tell there is not even one riff of "Mr Scary" in what he's playing. The Title of the vid is says he's playing it.

  • @24000RPM Actually he, himself was also known as Mr. Scary, so all the title means is that Mr. Scary is in the desert.

Great stuff. I'm glad he still plays like that after all this time.

I was never that good but after a decade away from the guitar, I'm pretty rubbish now.

  • Random boring distorded string torture.

  • NEAT..BUT HOW DOES IT SOUND.. CAMERA MIC SAYS SHITE

  • To all you Critic's, you have no clue what your talking about. George can play like Vai, malmsteen, vaughn, anytime he was doing that when he was a kid. He doesn't want to be predictable. So thats why it sounds random. Before you start Criticizing go listen to some of his cover tunes he's done plenty. peace out!

  • he wore thai shirt !!

    lol

  • Thats his house.....And thats not 'Mr Scary" he's playin......

  • this is just a load of distorted crap, he's definately not in the league of Vai, malmsteen and satriani.

  • @Bachnroller Lol funny you said that... All 3 of those guitarists you have listed were in the g3 tours... so was George lynch. But thats your opinion so it's all chill. My favorite guitarists (or league as you mentioned it) are Marty Friedman, Jason Becker, Slash, Joe Perry, Malmsteen... etc. lol though Marty Friedman has the biggest influence on my guitar playing and a decent amount of slash is in there too.

  • @bvried how can your influences be Cacophony... and then Slash??... they are a million rimes the player he is

  • @HeavyMetalVagabond :s I originally got into guns n' roses and stuff... That's why I listed joe perry too. I orignally listened to other music and found out later about bands like cacophony and shrapnel stuff. That is why and :) I love his phrashing. I used to practice stuff from him and look through my tab books through his solos to steal licks (lol) and all that awhile back. :) definately a big inspiration when I play blues and rock stuff

  • @bvried ah fair enough, in terms of blues and rock style i try to nick early vanhalen licks haha

  • Great Show in Toronto-Cheers!

  • I like GL's style. It's improvised and a lot of scattered stuff,, and sometimes it ain't pretty but then a sweet lick'll show. It's real, like EVH too. Not like the sea of tab players out there, who memorize stuff verbatim and it sounds so stale and like the next guy. Learn from these dudes, and when I say that, I don't mean go find a tab book. Absorb some of the feel and go out and find your own style.

How cool would it be to jam out in the desert like that!

  • I've always love loved George's playing, but doesn't he kinda look like Glen Campbell in the face here? lol

  • Yeah don't really like this, just doesn't flow/come together well or sound good IMO.Maybe he indulged too much in the green stuff (he was smoking something in beginning, looking up at him) he just seemed to be getting carried away and playing random crap.I do like his playing normally, but not here.

  • Awesome tone out of that Randall amp!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • iv found a new inspiration :D this guy is AMAZING!!! is this his house? what a rig too huh

  • YALL TELLIN ME THIS DUDE REALLY LIVES IN THE DESERT

  • New Neighbors ten miles away: WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT RACKETT????!!!!!!!!

Later on in town, "We heard some ambiant music playing in the night before last, you know anything about it?-man replies with cold voice: "That's just George Lynch up there a whalin' on his ge-tar, now you don't pay no mind to him, he's a god incase ya didn't know. I'm half crazy cause i was at one-a his gigs way back when, made me insane"

  • hes got such a great unique style

  • Perhaps he could take some pointers from Mr. Blackmore.

  • @orange70383 or maybe Mr. Blackmore can goto a school to learn about George Lynch. Cause clearly you have no idea what your talking about.

  • What an inspiring place! Very cool!

    Mr. Scary rocks the dessert!

  • What a way to live in this stupid dream. Just let some tone hang out full blast in the desert then go have a steak and maybe a few drinks after in the cabin.

  • Premier guitars have the BEST music videos on youtube! From Rig Rundown to a Sick Integratron History! PG FTW!

  • Totally cool. Of course all desert dwelling creatures exploded due to the sheer volume! ;-)

  • Saw him with Dokken 1989 Monsters of Rock: Rice Stadium in Houston. I was a senior in highschool at the time. Van Halen Headlined. 10 hours of metal partying and Lynch did not disappoint. There was a technical issue with equipment where his guitar cut out several times. I remember George "chucking" his guitar across the stage. He then grabbed another and went out in style ! Love those 80s.

  • george lynch...always stealing my riffs and licks...

  • @braddyboy82 ya same here man. dam it. lol

  • how in the world did he get in the desert?

  • He has great skill and felling that nobody hasn't it. One of the best players form 80s

  • What a brilliant way to wake up the wife and kids in the am......

  • i can tell where his studio is its by joshua tree , or twenty nine palms , zack wydle also has a compound in the desert , his is by palmdale though..

  • ...I want a house in the desert now...So I can "zone out" like George while playing. ='|

I've always wanted a house in the alps or some other snowy mountains though, come on that would be an epic place to loudly play your guitar...Except for the avalanches, lol. D=

  • This guy is living the dream..

  • That was freakin cool :D

  • Scary!!! lol

  • George Lynch is a Guitar God!! One of the Best!! =) he's the reason I want to learn guitar. From the moment I saw Breaking the chains and hearing that guitar wail, I want to be just like George!! And I am only 18. Haha. =)

  • UN FRIGGIN' REAL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • thats fuckin rock and roll you bunch of assholes, cuntry crossed with the black street blues.

pfff im reading your comments and none of you have soul. Cityidiot retards

  • @richshred dude, this aint about a melody, hes just jammin and havin fun...im very melodic, but sometimes i do this shit..you would be suprised how many melodies can come from doin shit like this...you should try it sometime... no joke..peace

  • I don't know why you guys are disin him and sayin he's not as good as he used to be. He's just havin fun.

  • @minislash2112

    thats right, indeed

he's not recording nothing, he's just stretching his fingers,

he's just jaming and having fun, to bad the camera was rolling, but what the heck.

folks that are dissing him, and in the remote chance they play an instrument,

bet you that those folks arent clear in there tones half the time george is right here, his other jamming vid's are better though, he's just having some fun, not to be taken that seriously as some folks here do. see this as a warming up;)

  • Lynch is as good as he's ever been, he's just going a little nuts in this clip. His tone is super bright and dry which doesn't help things either. Lots of trademark Lynch licks in here, though. This video is 10 times cooler and original than anything I've seen Wylde, Hammett, Halen etc put up lately.

  • @kschumac hammett, dont even mention that name when this dude is playin....jezzz...

  • @kschumac zakk is like the most distinct guitar player around these days and can write good songs that sound like him considering black label pride and glory and all his ozzy work are original..guitar isnt about being some eighties delay shred guitar lynch couldnt write a real song to save his life i could sound like him any moment of the week

  • @kschumac

Ill Hit the Like on that bro. He's out exploring new territories...like Steve Vai. Getting in touch with nature, and in harmony with the elements...while melting faces. Lynch and Vai are very alike in that regard.

  • @kschumac Halen doesn't do anything.

  • @kschumac

His tone wasn't dry... He's using delay. You can't hear it?

  • @kschumac if this is off the cuff...then Lynch is somewhere we can't comprehend....respect.

  • The landscape somehow reminds me of Far Cry 2. George Lynch + Scenery = Win.

  • Look I am a huge George Lynch fan and a have been a lead player for 25yrs but this is not real good and to be honest something is off in this video Georges techniques are real A.D.D. which is a surprise for me he is not this sloppy either, For some time I have wondered if George has got some mental issues I hope I am wrong becouse he is a brilliant guitarist but years of fame can sometimes mess with the mind and he has allways been withdrawn.

  • @huntermetal19723

Someone had to finaly say it. Took the words right out of my mouth.

  • @ThePhantomJedi Yeah, instead of feeling gratitude to share an intimate moment with one of the greatest talents in the history of the instrument - you "me too" a trash mouth nobody. Some Jedi you turned out to be...

  • @secretsaregood

Oh please, just get over yourself. Any current lynch vs lynch of old /watch?v=CWntxpcq9FI and its easy to see that he just isn't what he used to be. Still love him? Yup! Still respect him? Yup! Still agree with what huntermetal was saying? Yup!

  • @secretsaregood look dude as i stated in the statement I STILL LOVE GEORGE LYNCH BUT YOU IN YOUR NEED FOR CONFLICT DECIDED TO BLOW MY COMMENT OUT OF PROPORTION AND YES I HAVE BEEN PLAYING SINCE 86 SO YA I CAN MAKE THAT KIND OF STATEMENT BECOUSE I WAS THERE I HAVE ALSO WORKED IN THE MENTAL HEALTH FIELD OVER A DECADE SO YA I CAN GO THERE TO IF THAT DOESNT SATISFY YOU GO TO MY YOUTUBE SIGHT AND LISTEN TO MY WORK IF THAT STILL DOESNT DO THEN BLOW IT OUT YOUR ASS AND KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT

  • @huntermetal19723

whoa that's a heavy assertion to make on the man.

he's not trying to compose anything here - you're seeing a man who is just in a zone. he's just working out musically and so what if it's all over the place. again, he's in a zone mode. and to suggest that there's something wrong with him because he's more reserved than most guitarists, that's ludicrous. it's just his personality.

  • @huntermetal19723 You haven't been playing for 25 years or even 2. If you did you would realize that this is a warm up. If you are gonna catch yourself bashing on someone, especially a man that first proved himself 30 years ago - Post your VIDEO response with your superior performance :) You are the crazy one homey, put that hubris back in the closet..

  • @secretsaregood preach it bratha ,preach it...lol

  • George is one of the best.... And the theory thing... It's all based on your ear. You don't have to know Mozart to know it's good. If you play guitar, or any other instrument and it doesn't sound right... That is theory.

  • blasting that into the desert thats sick lol

  • That is THE perfect guitar rig setup. A bunch of 4x12s blasting sweet, thunderous tone into the valley below, while you sit on a porch atop the hill with a good monitoring system coming through your headphones.

  • Look closely and you will notice he has the Pick of Destiny! =P

  • this is completely badass, shredding in the desert....god damn

  • This guy is near the top of a very short list of the best guitarists ever, and I think it's pretty damn amazing how guys at that level got to where they are without theory. If I myself never took the time to learn a few things about music itself, I wouldn't be half the guitarist I am today... and I'M NOT EVEN THAT GOOD!!! So theory... take it or leave it... different strokes for different folks, but haters gonna hate I guess.

  • excellent.

ol george put the rock and roll world on it's ear when be broke out in the early days..

way better than the dude with red and black striped guitars.

not to mention he hasn't trashed his life in the process.

    cheers george !

  • This is what I would be doing if I had all 6 numbers on the power ball ROCK ON GEORGE!

  • OMG. This is a real inspiration to play in the desert i think

  • and einstien couldnt tie his shoes so whoopie

  • My favorite axeman of all time. He truly has a style all his own.

    The master.

  • is the only tiger guitar with that head stock?

  • @LynchSixx1313

That's the original body but the 3rd neck.

I worked a show a few months back with Lynch Mob and MSG and actually got to play that guitar (unplugged) for a moment. It weighs a ton.

  • @codyjt5150

What a hypocrite statement. You took the initiative to start an argument with me you knob!

  • looks like jos tree

  • Lynch rules!!! nobody like him!!! gotttaaa love this video!!! wish more players were as creative as he is! hes def. my number one player! i have lots of favorites but he has got to be at the top! BADASSSS PLAYER!!!

  • Dude, this refreshes every 10 seconds. this would be soooo awesome but painful to watch as it cuts in and out!

  • this is cool shit man! wow...........

  • That is so badass.

  • Great playing, Lynch is my favorite guitar player. BTW, since when did the M1's neck change from maple to rosewood?

  • @DimiCOB Seriously ? His shit he played with Dokken is some of the best out of the 80s metal scene.

  • badass DUDE..............................

  • boring shredding and boring chops. ra[omg scales at deafening volumes....

    VOMIT!

i wish i never heard this! disgusting sounds!!!!!!!!!!

  • @Powerslider can u do better.....AYE

  • Amazing George use the natural echoes of the vanues wonderful thks to share!!

  • @hiawatha444 Better a pile of rocks than a dingy apartment, eh?

  • George Lynch, Eddie Van Halen, Eric Clapton, Kirk Hmmet, Edge, Jimmy Page, Zach Wylde, and Jack White should all start a huge monster solo in the middle of nowhere, thatd be sswweeeeettt

  • @RiMasta13 lol wtf kirk hammett? boo. Marty friedman? ok. Chris poland? ok. not kirk.

  • @DimitriVHefley Well, you just dont have a good taste in music my retarded friend.

  • @RiMasta13 LOL! ok mr. im gonna do shit pentatonic licks over and over with crap wah effects, lol im retarded? take a look in the mirror, and dont be surprised to see a bicycle helmet.

  • @DimitriVHefley Dude, chill, we have different opinions. You seem to be a megadeth fan or something

  • @RiMasta13 Megadeth is my favorite, but im a fan of all types of thrash bands, Testament, Kreator, Venom

  • @RiMasta13 It's funny how you can always tell a Megadeth fan from the rest. They are always the assholes who are ignorant and just say the same shit over and over. It's kids like him who give megadeth a bad name and make me not listen to them. Well that and Dave crying all the time.

  • @xCMxMach IT PISSES ME THE FUCK OFF

  • @xCMxMach amen dude.

  • just amazing ive been waiting for this video since i was a kid George ripping it up in the desert where he belongs some of us are just desert people and lynch is definitly desert best guitarist hands done inovative and just a legend on the six string LYNCH RULES period never been stale or boring like so many thiere is only one Lynch and then there is just everyone else

  • he is mine too !!! fuck george! !!! we love you man !

  • I LOVE HIS TONE!! He Is AMAZING!!

  • prolly the most overrated guitar player alive...it was just a huge mess

  • whats the deal with the desert? natural reverb and delay?

  • @nemogre its his families property. Its our near Palm Springs, and Idi do the same if I owned that property too ya??? Id just add MORE cabinets and MORE heads LOLOLOL! George ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @nemogre = yup !!!

  • @nemogre You can crank the amp louder too because the sound is going out instead of back at you.

  • @nemogre the desert is sparsely populated, and its cheap to live out there , i know friends that bought a cheap house out in the middle of desert its 125 degrees in the summer but you can play as loud as you want.

  • @nemogre Guess you couldn't read the caption. It's a solar powered studio. Not exactly something you could achieve in a rain forest.

  • @nemogre its the insperation man
