  • that is one of the fastest fire bombers i have ever seen.... well for a prop plane...

  • they have drop this stuff right on the fire before. well he got it out, ive fought brush fires for over five years now.

  • They never drop the retardants on the fire they just drop it in front of the fire so that it they stop the fire expansion to other areas...That's why.

  • um no he didn't, i take it none of you are fire fighters. There is a reason why he did what he did.

  • Thats an Aero Union P-3

  • too soon!

  • dropped it too soon dumass

  • That's the point, stupid!

  • he dropped early to form a fire line using the slurry so the ground pounders could get a handle on it

  • I wonder why the spotter told him /her to drop that slurry so far from the obvious fire line.

  • u dropped it too early

  • 12000 gal doesn't seem very much in that load, maybe a C-5 would be better suited.

  • Good luck getting a C-5 back out of a canyon after the drop.

  • Ever hear of RATO..(Rocket Assisted Takeoff) C-130's used them in Vietnam on short runways, that would be one hell of a climb out of a canyon, probably not feasible to spent the money on a retrofit, considering the billions lost during the LA fires, yes I said Billions, at least one...
