@ happymooglefun yeah they're supposed to do that: add things to the actual story to make it scarier and more entertaining. That's why it says "based on a true story" and not "a true story"

I'm sure some of it was, but I've seen older interviews with the same women where you described phenomenon not in the movie, such as being repeatedly raped by an even entity. This does happen but it would probably be too disturbing to put into a mainstream movie.
I saw this movie! The Jona dude was cute...that is until he burnt and haunted the house when he was actaully protecting it from the spirits his master wrote on and clipped eyelids off of.

It's left for people to assume that he died from cancer but he is alive today and still very mentally ill. The whole family was dysfunctional, the house was not haunted.
LoL, ghosts rule!!! I'm gonna start up my own amateur ghost hunting group... Ever since I first saw Paranormal State, and I realized how relatively cheap it is to buy lots of that equipment, it seems like it would be a fun, maybe one day even useful, hobby to have... Can't wait!!! :) :) :)
I have thought about doing that myself. I have had a couple paranormal experiences; one in the basement of my home (about 10 years ago) which at the time was my alter that I used for witchcraft. The other time it was in a cemetery (likely place, huh?) with 2 very close friends we put a ouija board on top of a headstone and it never did move the thing so we said fuck it and started walking back to the car and that's when something happened that neither of my friends will talk about to this day.
