  • I agree, her tone is very beautiful but her coloratura is very mushed. When was this recorded? Past her prime, I'd believe.

  • Correct Uyildiz, c'est bien 1961 à Buenos Aires.

    Le contre mi bémol tenu montre à quel point Gencer maitrisait sa voix en ces années là (1950 à 1965). J'aime aussi la légéreté de sa coloratura, chose rare pour une voix somme toute assez volumineuse (il suffit d'écouter sa Lady Macbeth ou son Amelia du ballo pour s'e rendre compte.)
