@NTom92 It's a hell of a lot longer than 30 minutes unless you chicken out and read walkthroughs before playing it (or you're playing it with someone who has played it before). It's EASILY an hour to an hour and a half long on the first playthrough. 30-45 minutes on following playthroughs, depending on if you have a competent co-op partner who has played it before.

Been a huge fan since day 1, played em all, beat em all like 50 times, The best Resident Evil I layed hands on was Resident Evil 2 by far, The survival aspect amongst the older Resident Evil games make them legendary. Today's RE's can't compare to older ones, especially 2, Code Veronica and 3....part 1 on the Cube was a great rehaul.

This is what the real RE5 game should have looked like. Haunted houses/mansions/castles, combined with the inevitable laboratory stage; This is what RE is about. Africa? WTF?

And it's a shame because the RE5 engine is great. They should remake some of the old games -- say like, RE2, 3 or CV -- with it.

Oh and you know what would be great if they put in the new Resident Evil? Zombies. I don't care what anyone says. Zombies don't have giant herpes come out when you shoot them in the head, they don't yell at me or run away after they kill me and most of all THEY DON'T SHOOT GUNS! 4 was awesome because it was a brand new experience but I didn't really like 5. I love Mercenaries but I don't really like 5.

For those of you that think Resident Evil 1,2,and 3 is pretty awesome,you can unlock the classic camera by going to the door you started in.After you go to the door,press the investigate button like three times and you could be playing in the mansion like it's Resident Evil 1 all over again.This also proves that if they wanted to,Capcom could make the Resident Evil series go back to it's old ways.I sooooo hope that they're going to create a remake of Resident Evil Outbreak.(sobs)O_>

two things, it's a mansion not a castle. and why don't you ever mension the fact that this content ( along with desperate escape) doesn't have to be downloaded if you buy resident evil 5 gold edition? If you get that one, it is already on the game disk, on the PS3. if you get the 360 version of RE5 Gold Edition, you get a code that lets you add the content to the game at NO COST

i like this style of resident evil, it gives you a view that makes you think at first "ok, this is a shooter, so all i have to do is face the general direction of 5 enemies and keep pressing R" only to realize that you are just as vulnerable here as you were is resident evil 1-3. the claustrophobia comes from not being able to see behind you or to most of your right and left, like in real life. as apposed to cheap deaths from very, very bad camera angles. but, i love both gameplay styles.

The only thing I never liked about the resi evil series is the unlikliness. I mean, they find the head of umbrella, in a huge mansion probably full of mutants galore. ANd they send 2 people. Its always the same, like in the normal campaign, surely once they get attacked that chopper wouldnt just blow a gate up, it would drop in loads more guys.
