i have an idea to protect homes against this slow flow destruction. could fences and canals be built out of existing volcanic rock to be directed safely toward the ocean? also it being a national park are you allowed to walk around there anytime you like?

Fair enough - I had problems with the wind on Yasur once come to think of it. It can be a real pain.

The music you used is chiefly memorable to me for my listening to it a Prom concert at London's Albert Hall as a treat (Mum had engaged a box for us not just common-or-garden seats!)

I'd like to shove a poker into lava to see just how viscous it is. Unfortunately the last time I was near a lava flow (Etna 2004) I actually took a poker but couldn't get close enough - too hot. I suspect there'd be the same problem here. Nice footage, though especially the close-up detail.

I'm not sure about Tchaikovsky's Variations on a Rococo Theme as music though! Might have been better with no music, instead just listening to the strange rustling and tinkling noises you get with lava.

i live in the area in the ring of fire and a valcano erupted i accidently touched lava with my finger. the skin melted and i thinf it is hot enogh to melt a human reply
