  • I,hace,this,cd.:3<3

    I,love,paul,mcartney,ive,been,listening,to,him,since,i,was,really,small,im,12,naooo,:D

    PAUL.MCCARTNEY<3

  • paul sings bout the death of john with respect and insight great song

great lp and the end of tug of war is so sad but so well done thank sir paul

love and peace my freind leo

  • Tug of war is my favorite Paul McCartney album. It`s even better than "Ram" and "Band on the run" It`s well produced, the songs are great, and Pauls singing is beautiful. He made an effort on this one. The title track is awesome. I love it.

  • i have this album on the old vinyl.

  • I landed here on purpose

  • Funny... on 1985, my then-favorite computer game "Ultima IV" (a RPG by Richard Garriott aka Lord British) used "In another world, in a time to come" as its motto... and there's two bards called Paul and Linda in the game. I never noticed the connection until now.

  • Schmaltzy.

  • Paul is love <3

  • why have I never heard this album before?

  • Paul was with wings,so how do you call All his music solo albums?

if every "wings album" had his name (and only his name) on the album cover,i would agree.back to the egg, speed of sound and london town... 100% wings album.paul doesn't sing and write every song on these three.odd you would say that tug of war is paul's 13th solo album when he was contracted with another band other than the beatles.by fact and law,you are wrong.

  • @hereinthebronx Wings? Apart from Denny Laine and Linda, give me one name of any "wings" band member that had stayed with Paul McCartney for more than 3 years. Please be aware that the only album that has been released as "Wings" is Wild Life. Then at Red Rose Speedway McCartney renamed the band as "Paul McCartney and Wings" since not many people noticed that Paul McCartney had played in Wings... Im not wrong: Paul McCartney is Wings though i will not forget Laine's colaboration ...

  • @piggies1 I don't think it matters how long a wings member was with paul, but here are all albums under the title "wings" WINGS WILD LIFE.WINGS AT THE SPEED OF SOUND.WINGS OVER AMERICA.WINGS LONDON TOWN.WINGS BACK TO THE EGG.

  • @piggies1 I don't think it matters how long a wings member was with paul, but here are all albums under the title "wings" WINGS WILD LIFE.WINGS VENUS AND MARS.WINGS AT THE SPEED OF SOUND.WINGS OVER AMERICA.WINGS LONDON TOWN.WINGS BACK TO THE EGG.

  • @hereinthebronx We clearly disagree. I will not try to convince you, i'll listen to Tug Of War instead. Peace!

  • @piggies1 maybe i missunderstood you,i thought you said" Please be aware that the only album that has been released as "Wings" is Wild Life. Then at Red Rose Speedway McCartney renamed the band as "Paul McCartney and Wings" since not many people noticed that Paul....."

then i said "paul has over 5 albums under the title WINGS"

I'll listen to pipes of peace.

    peace;)

  • @piggies1 Yes Wings was a group. But let's be honest. Macca dominated the group, writing and singing nearly everything they recorded. However I don't think it's any use quarreling about the specifics. Sir Paul himself started this group and considered this a band. So who are we to claim otherwise?

  • @piggies1 Jimmy McCullogh was in for just over 3 years (early 1974-mid 1977)

  • @hereinthebronx Wings? Apart from Denny Laine and Linda, give me one name of any "wings" band member that had stayed with Paul McCartney for more than 3 years. Please be aware that the only album that has been released as "Wings" is Wild Life. Then at Red Rose Speedway McCartney renamed the band as "Paul McCartney and Wings" since not many people noticed that Paul McCartney had played in Wings... Im not wrong: Paul McCartney is Wings though i will not forget Laine's collaboration ...

  • @piggies1 Agreed. Denny Laine was a great contributor. I think it's time we better "go now."

  • @hereinthebronx dude, "wings" was the name of pauls band. outside of lindas backing voice, they were all replaceable. it was paul. cmon. wings was just the band name, cus he was generous and not an ego trip guy, but its PAUL. no one else mattered

  • @SixStringDeity LMAO not an Ego trip guy,Paul has one of the biggest Egos in the business...nothing wrong with that,he has bragging rights.sorry to disagree, but when Denny, jimmy, and joe had over 10 songs on wings albums,it matters.

  • @hereinthebronx i kind of agree with though it should be noted that despite linda and laine also being on the album tug of war is indeed a mccartney solo

  • @Dman31619 I100% AGREE

  • @hereinthebronx

I think John Lennon said it best: "You can call it Wings, you can call it anything you want, but we all know it's Paul's music!"

  • @alexheadley100 OH! JOHNN SAID IT.... must be true if "john" says so.

    However,for most part,you are right,but it WAS NOT ALL paul's music.(on the "WINGS"album)

  • @hereinthebronx

Quick, tell me five significant songs by Wings that Paul McCartney didn't write. Case closed.

  • @alexheadley100 How is the case closed if i can name you the five songs?

nevertheless, how many songs did ringo write, or any member from any band?(long story short,u know what im getting at)

    go now

    Again and again and again

    wino junko

    medicine jar

    time to hide

(i belive,a total of eight....includeing "walking in the park with eloise and i'm always right"

  • @hereinthebronx

I'm sorry, I keep forgetting that I have to spell everything out for you. I clearly meant five songs worth mentioning! Can you really look yourself in the mirror and tell yourself that the list you've provided represents the Wings' legacy? Come on now, let's get serious. Your list can't even be classified as a B list... possibly not even a C list. Without McCartney and his genius, Wings wouldn't even be a footnote in rock history. Stop being crazy!

  • @alexheadley100 okay we will leave it at that.

Question for you: do you write your own music? you sound so much like steven page, formally of BNL

good job on the piano, wondering how you come up with your ideas....

  • @hereinthebronx

Thanks for the compliment. Yeah, I do write my own stuff. No-one's ever told me I sound like Steven Page, but he's definitely an influence in terms of comedic writing style. I think Steven Page is great. Not really sure how I come up with my ideas. Generally, I just sit down at the piano, play chords and come up with a melody. I start singing and then try to figure out what I'm singing about. If I like the idea, I try to fine tune it and really work at the lyrics.

  • @hereinthebronx

what about you? do you write? play music? enjoy music? all of the above?

  • @alexheadley100 I do write, but i havn't posted anything here on you tube.maybe if i get a good video camera i will.i have always enjoyed listening to anything from 1950's,60's,70's music...i got too picky in the last 30 years.lol.

Always loved the, moody blues, the who.and, yes,THE BEATLES (and beatles solo)

you're a good song writer, been checking out ur vids.i found a song, a funny happy birthday song...it sounds just like you,but it wasn't on your channel....sounds just like you.

  • @hereinthebronx

Nice to still be able to argue with people on youtube without swearing. Glad that we both enjoy Paul's music. Saw him this summer and he was great. And medicine jar isn't that bad of a song, I'll admit it.

  • @alexheadley100 i think "Medicine jar" is a highlight on "Venus and Mars" And "Mull of kintyre" was co-written with Denny Laine. But you`re right. Paul was Wings. He didn`t need the others at all. They are all considered to be solo albums.

  • If this song were on a Beatles album, it would be considered a classic... But it's just as great, same level...

  • @GeorgeTel100 and "time to hide"

keep up the good work with your singing

  • This song is a symphony

  • A Beatles-worthy song--much as I love the guy, there haven't been very many since this album.

  • songs against war, against racism... a bit like Paul grew up to some of John´s ideas, only some time later and in a little different (not so open) way at this album :-)

  • @MichalFokt Song had nothing to do with racism. It pertained to the struggles between Paul and John, especially as the Beatles evolved. I suspect that he realized what he and John had, although circumstances caused the breakup. Nothing to do with war and racism. Great song

  • @shickasha I said "songs" - I meant the entire album, with "Ebony and Ivory" and so on. And by the way, the title song is interpreted in both ways, as Wiki says...

  • @shickasha Are you sure this song had ANYTHING to do with john?

  • @hereinthebronx

In my opinion, yes. They were trying out-do each other, trying to outscore each other...etc. Frequent battles for recognition, etc, Lennon would blast McCartney's ego and it went back and forth.

  • its sure is a tug of war for the beatles...

  • This is so good. I can't comprehend my feelings. I just wanna get up and run around or cry or turn it up and sing LOUDER. I wanna shrink down to 1 inch tall and climb inside the speaker and breath in the sound and sleep in the warmth of the voices

  • @Sodahpop96 why do you want to cry and shrink?

  • @hereinthebronx because the music makes me feel like I never have before, and I don't understand my emotions, nor do I have any idea what to do with them. It's a beautiful, lonely, unbearable, worthwhile confusion.

  • @Sodahpop96 0ooo,I WANT SOME OF THAT

  • @hereinthebronx well, all you have to do is listen

  • I have the vinyl record for this album! :D

  • For me Tug of War is Paul's masterpiece. As good as anything he wrote with the Beatles. Brings me back to my childhood. No other record or music does that in such an intense manner. Gives me goosebumps everytime I listen to it. Thanks Paul!!!

  • If you listen to the lyrics it sounds like it is about John. How they were always competeing. It is pretty great

  • Oh my, this really brings back visions of me with headphones on in pure heaven!

  • wow everyone needs to calm down. the beatles were good. john lennon was good. paul was good. no need to hate. You are definitely allowed to like more than one artist/group.

  • in the description it says this is pauls 13th solo album. it was only his 4th

  • thisalbum shows alot of class that is missing from music that mccarntney provides

  • awesome song

  • This my favorite Paul Maccartney album. I remember singing to it in the summer of 83 back in Virginia. It all seems like a dream now. But I really had a recipe for a lovely day sticking out of my back pocket.

  • when i was a kid i thot he was singing Dog of war

  • @shaneinkster lol

  • @BonelessSausage whats your question?

  • i use to have this song on cassette

  • No, this is original and not taken word for word out of a book with his lame ticktock melody. Ed

  • Far better song than imagine. Ed

  • @termsofusepolice It is considered the best post Beatles song of all time. Far better than Imagine. You are laughable. You have no idea that this song is about our future.

  • @termsofusepolice McCartney'slast 10 albums are far better than any Lennon Beatles shit.Fucking steaming pile of camel dung.I won't respond or read from losers like you.

  • @BonelessSausage not for me, but to each his own my man

  • @txeire Well lyou being wrong bothers me not in the least. Ed :)

  • @BonelessSausage lol, you're thick skinned like that huh. :-D
