Hi! I have a big problem with my xenyx 802 (visit my video please), at least I think the mixer is the problem and not the cables.Listen to it with your sound card at maximum.I hope you could give me an advice.Thank you.I must know until tomorrow, because I just bought it and if it has a problem, I will bring him back.
Sounds better than the camera. I would suggest a high pass filter to keep the rumblings of something like a washing machine out of the mix. Other than that, flat EQ sounds good. When it comes to equipment, I have learned that you get what you pay for. You'll come to find out that the behringer will have a higher noise floor than other offerings. You can hear it in this video. Another thing I would suggest is a second hand DBX compressor from ebay. Any of them would do.
You should keep the mic away from power sources otherwise you will get lots of hum - great vid pete would the mixer run off battery? as it would be good fo O B's
@REXER1977 Last Behringer I used only had a AC adapter, but you could make a battery pack for it. It's pretty straight forward if you have any experience soldering and know the difference between positive and negative.
Now we can hear the throatier subtleties of your masculine voice. Not sure if that makes any sense, but I can hear the difference. Your beer reviews should take on a whole new life of their own.
so how do i fix my sound on my laptop tha sounds cuts in and out wen i record my voice can u help this about tha 3rd time i ask........tell me step by step what 2 do i need 2 get this fix
@ThaSpiderInternetsho Just go to the website of the company that made your laptop and look for support / drivers. Download and install the audio driver package.
@ThaSpiderInternetsho If you have the option of HD Audio and AC97, use the AC97. I just fixed my PC this way. The setting should be in your bios and you may need to reinstall the audio driver as suggested especially if you have to make the change in the bios. At least that was the case for me and now my PC has great audio, no more fading in and out like it was.
@HostileHST yea my sound record thing is bulit i never installed anything and were do i find that in my settings because i have a Windows XP and stuff and is only tha sound record that fades in and out everytime i record my voice everything else works fine my skype videos on youtube have no problem
@ThaSpiderInternetsho There are a few nice free recorders you could try...Just google free recorder and you'll find a few. Or you could go to places like Cnet and sourceforge to find some with reviews on them. If that still doesn't fix it, I also highly recommend updating or re-doing your audio drivers as the others have suggested.
Good sound Pete. You are coming out of both my monitors nice and centered. There was a bit of reverb in the last sample when you cut the other levels. The most natural/pleasant sound to me was just before the last bit. I guess that was a mix of camera and boundary mic? Very big improvement from camera mic alone.

@ThaSpiderInternetsho Do you use an external mic or the internal on the laptop?
I would test with an external and see if you have the same issues.
The other thing you might want to do is reload your audio driver.
Let me know if that helps,
-Pete
