Yes, on a Mac a 2.0 GHz or higher and 3 GBs of ram should work alright.

I am using a 2.16 GHz iMac with 3 GBs of ram and it works fine. I am a bit limited though on how many channels I can use in the Multitimbral section. I am pushing my CPU with 4 or more channels with the more complex sounds. The sounds are so rich that with 3 channels you get incredible sounds. If anybody else has comments on this, please do.

One more comment. This is a powerful soft synth but it takes a powerful computer to run it. Just take that into account if you are thinking of buying it.

That's right. I upgrade specialy for Omnisphere my PC (Core Quad x3GHz, 4 GB RAM + Win XP DAW edit). Now I can use approx. 12 parts of Omnisphere.

I have installed also on MacBook 2.2, 2GB and work perfect. I can use 6-7 chanels with Ableton Live. I use also Freze option.

I had abandoned all my soft synths because they just didn't have the sound quality and I went back to hardware, but I just purchased Omnisphere and have to say this soft synth is incredible. The sound quality on this is excellent, rich and lush. This soft synth has arrived and is superb!! It has it's equal place along side my hardware.

Probably! And it's 'cause they didn't try to emulate a synth, they took another concept, and made themselves incomparable! Their only competitor is Alchemy, but Omni's samples are unmatchable!
