I've looked into it extensively. One of the things that I put a good deal of stock in is what former People's Temple members say, including those who spent time at Jonestown. The vast majority, the overwhelming majority.... do not believe it was a CIA project. I tend to believe the people who were actually there.

When you are dealing with people's lives you need to leave no stone unturned so this never happens again. In any murder trial, every little piece of evidence is examined and a person needs to be proven guilty beyond reasonably doubt. Why do we just accept what we are told when there are pieces that don't fit. If we received detailed explanations with proof there would be no conspiracy theories. Unfortunately most of you deserve all the terrible things that have happened and the things to come.

I thought that only 70 of the bodies had injection marks.,. & that only ones that had gunshot wombs were jim jones & annie (or carolynn....can't remember which one...) but I never heard about 700 of them being injected! I mean, even the one of the early interviews with one of the survivors said most of them drank it & there was very little struggle with the members not wanting to drink it.

Having lived at the time I don't know of many geographical areas where the CIA DIDN'T set up shop. That fact alone leads me to think that the CIA's involvement was nothing more than after the fact. Are there many coincidences, like JJ running into a childhood acquaintance working in South America as a CIA spook? Absolutely, but considering the political climate of the time I wouldn't be surprised if every so called "fringe group" ran into CIA from time to time.

I've looked into it extensively. One of the things that I put a good deal of stock in is what former People's Temple members say, including those who spent time at Jonestown. The vast majority, the overwhelming majority.... do not believe it was a CIA project. I tend to believe the people who were actually there.

One more thing...The CIA did make a settlement to patients in Canada for funding and planning worse techniques used in institutions there. That is admitting fault to harsher manners of conduct than this. The advantage in Guyana is that to coerce the government there probably doesn't take much effort, or money. In fact, the black budget is a very large portion of where our tax dollars go every year.
I do enjoy the whole devil's advocate thing though. I do it all the time too.

Deborah Latyon's testimony is all about Jim Jones being the perpetrator. Is there anything worth a shit of her interviews and works that tell about who her husband was while she was still involved in the People's Temple? Or anything worth a shit about the big chunks of money her father and boyfriend used to finance this remote little death camp? It's little coincidence the book "seductive poison" gets an Emmy from Fox News.

There are no "facts" to discuss. There is zero proof the "CIA ran Jonestown." This is simply a ridiculous assertion -- in fact, laughable.
Richard Dwyer was shot 2 hours away in front of about 20 witnesses, so he was not there. There were exactly 2 gunshot victims: Jones and Annie Moore. Both consistent with self-inflicted wounds, and both were among the 7 autopsied.
Basically, this old 1992 video is a complete joke that keeps getting recylced on Youtube by conspiracy nuts.

Not only that, but Stanley Clayton mentioned having snuck back into the camp, and SEEING Moore shoot Jones. This, for some reason, has been left out of much of the documentation. Well...where's you're explanation?! If you are going to make comments, at least try to back them up with facts. If not, then you are no different than all the other conspiracy nuts out there. I've done A LOT of reading on this. I've also seen different videos, including the full "airport Massacre" video (which actually goes almost 10 minutes). You probably haven't. It's a lot easier to join your fellow UFO/Roswell-type lemmings than research the info yourself.
