Thanks! I got to thinking about that old saying "Do what you know." So I figured I know a lot about DVDs, so I might as well blog about 'em! I'll be doing more "proper" reviews and such in the near future, this was just kind of a general "Hey, look what I got today!" :)
I disagree, and thought it was a spot-on (and hilarious) parody of teen comedy cliches. But that's what makes life interesting - everyone has their own viewpoints.
Speaking "Masters of the Universe", there's supposed to be another live-action movie coming out in 2009. Thanks for mentioning all the "Filmation" series - I hadn't thought about "Jason of Star Command" in DECADES!
Awesome! I hope THIS time they actually set the movie in Eternia where it SHOULD be... They could soooo easily make it a Lord of the Rings-esque epic. Thus far the 2002 series is the closest I've seen to the franchise reaching it's full STORY potential.
I still have to get the Jason of Star Command DVD set, but I remember LOVING it as a kid. Sid Haig (of House of 1000 Corpses/Devil's Rejects fame) was the lead villain! Space Academy (set in the same universe as Jason, and actually its predecessor) is also out.
Yes, but NOW I have all your well researched comments about the sillier aspects of my DVD collection down for the record, to be enjoyed again and again at my leisure, and shared with all my viewers so they can ALSO see how clever and witty you are.
i love dances with wolves. alot of people dont but directorially,a masterpiece. definitely a good buy for everyones collection.BTW you pretty much have the same movie likes as myself
I agree! Dances with Wolves was fabulous, and I say that even as one who normally isn't a big Kevin Costner fan. But as a MOVIE fan, I can't deny how gorgeous it was on every level.
And somehow I kinda THOUGHT we might have similar taste in movies...hehehe Us uber-geeks have a kind of radar sense about these things.
wow is this your first dvd update?

I'm jealous of your Eerie, Indiana-having. I miss that show.
Also, until recently I'd never even heard of the Trailer Park Boys. I think that's because I'm an American.
AND WHAT THE HELL MAN!?! NATIONAL TREASURE!?!
NICHOLAS CAGE IS AWFUL.
I find it hilarious that Amazon lists Colin Farrell, Arye Gross, and Jessica Harper as the only actors in Minority Report. Tom Cruise does not exist!
Finally, I noticed the Brooklyn South and NYPD Blue. Is this how you've been taught to picture Brooklyn?

Eerie Indiana was awesome. Get the DVD set! It's usually pretty cheap.
Trailer Park Boys is hilarious, and oh-so-deliciously Canadian.
National Treasure was a gift. The fact that it's the FULL SCREEN version should be a dead giveaway.
Good catch on Minority Report. But hey, Tom Cruise's role wasn't like INTEGRAL to the plot or anything, so I can understand the omission. Yeah....
And yes, those are my DEFINING examples of typical Brooklynites. ;)

You fell into the trap of discovering that your video was too long, saying you were going to end it, and then still talking for 3 more minutes :)
