What a heartbreak to read about his untimely and accidental death. I pray his loved ones have a short path from terrible grief to peaceful loving memories.

Salvatore's voice is so natural, never forced. (And he is one of the few tenors

who actually gets every word correct in this aria.) Many tenors who do

a high C on "lascia" at the end, sound forced or 'Hey look at me, I'm singing a really high note." Salvatore's phrasing is natural and beautiful. No extra breath.

Just gorgeous sound.

Tra l'altro, questa è sempre un'aria difficile da apprezzare, proprio perchè spesso rovinata da esecuzioni improprie.
