  • Sorry for the overkill here, Randy. I'm obviously not akamai re how Utube posts work. Sorry for the waste of bandwidth by having double posted the item below.

  • @pzcard u must be from nanakuli

  • Probably a bit of overkill here, Randy, but I wanted to make sure you saw my post on your "Channel Comments" page. The issue is the pairing of an A210 and a Cruiser2.

Your help would be most appreciated.

Now that I have discovered your Utube site, I'll be back to glean some more of your gems. WELL DONE! Thank you. KI6SMN

  • Randy,

Thanks for all the education. I want especially thank you for the PSK Videos. Your videos got me hooked. My XYL got me an interface for Xmas and I have had over 100 PSK QSO's since hooking it up- don't think I could have done it without your videos. Thanks and 73,

    Marty, WA5MS.

  • Marty, thanks for the message. I am glad that I help you try something new in hamradio. There are many different things to try. Give PSK 63 a try, select it from the menu. It runs twice as fast.

  • Very cool

  • But you cant spell.

  • how silly you do look now LOL!!

  • Check out my review of the Flex 5000a, search k1oik flex

  • Randy, thanks so much for the videos...great assets for all hams or those thinking of joining the ham radio community.

I have a TS-2000 and have installed Skype and LogMeIn per your video. These components have been tested and are working fine. The question I have is related to the TS-2000's TX audio. Can you comment on how you interfaced this with the PC at home? I think you probably connected the mic out from the PC to a DIN connector on the TS-2000, but please let me know how. Tnx, Tom

  • I use a Rigblaster Pro, the same interface as for PSK-31. But I think any sound card type of interface would work. You have the right idea. Randy

  • test

  • how did you make the advertisement???

  • What do mean by advertisement?

  • i mean in the right upper corner where your name is written in white letters on black ground, how did you make that?

  • Hi Randy,

I have been interested in starting this hobbie for sometime. I have some reservations.

    I have a question:

Why is it thath I see so many Ham operators equipment on sale on eBay?

Almost always it is a death.

Is there a correlation between High Frequency Radio Waves and Death? Heart attack?

    Thanks,

    Chris

  • See another viewpoint, search K1OIK

  • I'll check them out. Randy

  • Hi Randy !!!

  • Randy, nice videos they have inspired me to get back into the hobby after a 17 year break.

  • That break was too long. Welcome back. Randy

  • Hi Randy.

I'm not a radio buff, but I am curious to know how you got this video to play so clearly on youtube!

  • I use a DVCamcorder, firewire to Sony Vegas editing software. Plus good lights and audio. Randy

  • Thanks Randy. I currently use Adobe Premiere but I have heard lots of good things about Sony Vegas - not sure if I want to change though as it took ages to learn the Adobe system. Are you using PC or mac?

    Rick

  • PC, but I not sure the editor software will change the quality. You probably have many encoding choices. Randy

  • Great meeting you Randy hope we can talk in the air one of these days!

  • This is a very interesting channel! I wonder how many people are amateur radio hams? I'll poke arouind a bit! 5 starz for not having the usual, everyday kind of channel!

  • Thanks, enjoy the videos. Randy

  • Hi Randy,

Great videos!! nice to work you in the WPX 2007 Test. Do you have a video from that or other WPX contests in the future? Name is Paul and age is 15 hr. 73 CU in CW/SSB/RTTY WPX and other contests. Just got vanity callsign WQ2N.

    73 Paul WQ2N (ex. KC2NMZ, /C6A)

  • Paul, good going on the new call. I only have video of the one contest. The WPX would of looked a lot like the ARRL Round Up. Keep watching, more to come. Randy

  • Thanks Jim, I have watched many of your videos. Glad that you found my youtube page. Randy

  • Hi Randy, just came across your page and wanted to let you know that it is coming along excellent. My grandfather was a ham(callsign W1EED). I now have his equipment that I will be setting up and will be going for my liscense very soon. Hope to catch you on the air in a very short time.

  • Glad to hear that you found my video pages. Enjoy the videos. OK on your grandfather and his gear. Keep up the studying and get your ticket. Hope to see you on the air. Randy

  • Hi Randy, Its nice to meet you via YOU TUBE. What a great media it is. I wonder what sort of antenna (aerials as we brits call them) you use for HF. Unfortunately my back garden is tiny so I tend to go for a bent dipole. Am trying a G5IJ at the moment which I have just put together. Its a bit of a compromise - but worth a go anyway. Look forward to your next video. 73s to you and yours,

James (G0SDB) South Godstone, Surrey, England.

  • James, welcome and glad to see that you enjoy the verticals. I have dipoles for 40 & 80 and a THDXX 6 for 10/15/20. I do have 5 acres, so room for antennas and no one is too close. Randy
