  • dam where d u find a soo line engine you never c those anymore

  • Actually, CP uses the GP38-2s and GP40s a lot on locals between Chicago and the Twin Cities. Most of the SD60s and SD60Ms are still around and show up on the line with some regularity as well.

  • i wish they had them down south in louisiana that would be so cool to i chase trains all the time amtrak is the best he outran me in ponchatula i was doin 100mph and he was walkin away

  • I saw a recent pic of some of the untouched SOO SD60 units. The pic also had I think two of the 5 60M's. They were all stored. Sadly all SOO SD60's will be gone soon.

  • Where did you learn that? Why will they be gone? Are they being scrapped or sold? IIRC, INRD and CEFX have quite a few of them now.

  • I just saw a photo. Assuming from that photo and due to the fact that CEFX and INRD have a handful I put two and two together.

  • Who is IIRC anyways?

  • It means If I Recall Correctly.

  • Aha! I thought it was another railroad trying to erase the good SOO name lol.

  • Awesome vid ps are thsoe MRL units mainly used for the coal trains ive seen a bunch of them on coal trains around the aera

  • Yep, they're mostly coal power.

  • 3 one!
