Actually, CP uses the GP38-2s and GP40s a lot on locals between Chicago and the Twin Cities. Most of the SD60s and SD60Ms are still around and show up on the line with some regularity as well.

I saw a recent pic of some of the untouched SOO SD60 units. The pic also had I think two of the 5 60M's. They were all stored. Sadly all SOO SD60's will be gone soon.

Where did you learn that? Why will they be gone? Are they being scrapped or sold? IIRC, INRD and CEFX have quite a few of them now.
