I remember seeing this when I was 10 or so, and absolutely losing my shit over it. One of the few times when the excitement generated by the preview matched the excitement I felt watching the actual show.

Now, I watch it, and it's like.... "Target: One!" Laaaaame.

Actually it did fit in when you consider the fact that there was a surprise ending in this cliffhanger cuz as far as anybody was concerned, there was no cliffhanger when the episode first aired so to everyone else, it was business as usual. In other words, you weren't supposed to see it coming so keeping the quirky music made sure of that.
