teirs have nothing to do with victories. if a pichu beats a fox it doesnt mean pichu is the best it means the person playing as pichu is better the the person playing as fox. my roy has beaten alot of foxes, marths, and ect. but it doesnt mean roy is the best character. it means im better then those people
you're 50% right. certain characters are far better equiped with the tools they need to win this kind of game. i understand how you're against tiers. i wish they didnt exist, but the game makers couldn't have made a perfectly balanced game, because they weren't aware of how advanced gameplay would be. probably 70% of ssbm tournaments consist of fox, marth, falco, and shiek for a reason. tiers weren't meant to be and they're unfair. thats no secret. thats things like brawl+ are made.
He didnt say he was against Tiers. What you said is incorrect. You said that he lost because he played a lower tier character. That would mean that all someone would have to do is pick Fox or Marth and they would win automatically. What do you say to someone like Mango, who just won Genesis playing Jigglypuff, who is tied for 6th on the tier list? He beat Armada, a peach player. Peach is ranked 5th.
you too misunderstood what i was sayin in my 1st post. if 2 ppl are playing at the same skill level, the higher tier has the advantage, and a higher probability to win. its just simple. did you think that i was saying tier placement is more important than skill? thats not true at all. highlander5523 is seemingly against tiers because he said "teirs have nothing to do with victories". i was saying that they do, but they're not the biggest factor in a match. skill and brains are far more important
That's true but characters really do have a lot to do with winning. Matchups and skills are everything. Neo and Ken are pretty much equals. I would give Ken the sslight advantage though. And putting that in mind, Fox is better than Roy and has a slight advantage over him. Do you see where this is going? Skill is as important as the character you choose.
This was the video that made me make Onett my favorite stage of all time. And then they banned it.

neo lost because of his character's tier placement...
he was just playing with the worse character of the 2.
big ups to neo for coming close
