  • nice.

  • Thanks.

  • Best boxing demonstrations on you tube thanks from all the beginners like me.

  • Very detailed and on point. Great vid

  • I think the height issue is slightly misleading. I would set the bag to my shoulder height when I am standing tall and then when go into fighting stance you end up punching just above shoulder height. The bag is not really substitue of the opponents head in boxing as the opponents will (rarely) use their head to strike you! The bag is a conditioning tool not a simulation tool (such as sparring).

  • @Easyandy100 I am glad you stated "I think" because we are all entitled to our own opinions even if the are not "factual" based a good double end bag will not "substitute" an opponents head but it should function as a moving target just like a decent fighter will move his head to avoid being hit. And last I checked using ones head to strike is illegal in boxing. As to the bag being a conditioning tool, the bag does offer conditioning depending on how it is utilized.

  • @FightChannel We haven't really disagreed anything. I agree the bag should be set at the height of your opponent but that would be dependent on your weight class.

  • @Easyandy100 True true

  • @FightChannel Great videos! Many thanks!

  • @FightChannel I take it all back. I just adjusted my bag to my head height and it's much better workout!

  • @Easyandy100 great I am glad it worked out better for you that way, we must always experiment in order to find a way to make it work better, youtubedotcom/user/GRIMZGYM

  • @FightChannel Many thanks.

  • can you do a video how to work on speed?

  • Probably one of the best instructional videos I've ever seen. Those key instructions about bag tension are great!

  • GREAT VIDEO BUT HOW CAN I ADJUST MY BAGS HEIGHT AND TENTION EXACTLY, BECAUSE IS CAME WITH BUNJI CORDS AND A METAL S HOOK AT THE ENDS, SO IT CANT REALLY BE ADJUSTED.

  • @aaronhare You might want to visit your local hardware store and purchase 2 rubber bungees.

  • this was GREAT!!!! thanks

  • Great tips man... Appreciated.

  • 4:51 did he say "Penis size is very important" ??!!! lmao

  • @TK101Warhammer "PSI" pound per square inch

  • @FightChannel Haha I was just totally kidding, sir.

Thank you very much for this amazing and teaching video.

  • @TK101Warhammer Understood & you are welcome

  • wut bag is that?

  • i like to put the bag where my opponent's neck is. if you aim for the head you might not get his chin.

  • Great video, I started boxing training and I noticed it was hard to throw fast combinations and the tight tension explanation makes sense

  • Still one of the best training videos on youtube. Thanks for making it available.

  • @bkedp Thanks

  • Great demo, thanx.

  • what is a good DEG, what model

  • Although punching UP is good practice, having the bag height above ur head makes the bag come back OVER ur head--not straight at u as needed to work proper slipping. thanks

  • sweet video. i just got my double end bag but it bounces up and down? no video ive seen has a bag that bounces up and down whats goin on?

  • Nice video. Instructive and very clear.

  • Great video! How have you attached the bag to the floor and to the ceiling?

  • @mosherte it's attached to a stud in the ceiling with an I bolt, and anchored to a weight plate sitting on the flooor

  • Great video and excellent explanation, it has been very helpful in improving my training. Thank you.

  • Great instructional video. Thanks!!

  • Nice demo well done

  • I just started boxing about a month ago and I am awful at working the double bag. I usually either hit it too hard or miss a lot of the places. either way, it goes all over the place and I miss those punches.

  • so if i use this will it make a big difference in my sparring abilities? will i be able to slip and duck and block better in a real fight? also, how much space is required?

  • This is very precise and thorough advice. One of the better trainers I've saw make a vid on here with great instruction. Awesome job.

  • Best double end demo vid I've ever watched. Great demonstration, thorough explanation. Thanks.

  • hey... i love the video. but how would u tied a Double End Bag? and where can u tied in a house?

  • great video Sir.thank you

  • make up your mind, lol, did you get it from titleboxing or ebay

  • What should i wear on my hands when i do this. i'm new to training so help me out.

  • @KSEfan95 Since the impact will be minimal theres no need to wrap, all you need is a pair of bag gloves and some motivation

  • Great video! There are too few videos that give detailed instructions on how to set up equipment. You really helped me out. Thanks!

  • nice vids man, yo check out my videos, ill subscribe your channel

  • how much did that bag cost you

  • @OG863 I bought one on MMAWAREHOUSE at 29.99

  • what size is that bag?

  • great information never got that info at my gym thanks

  • This video rocks@!

  • Great video. Now i need to see if i can get one up in my apartment.

  • are there 2 nylon bunjee chords there or one? please answer!!!

  • There are "2" bungee cords, most just use "1" but 2 gives more bounce and travel distance.

  • where did u get the bag i really need one

  • They can be purchased at most all sporting good stores, i purchased that specific bag online from titleboxing

  • serious cuz i cant find it in dicks and other stores

  • i order one from e bay and i just receive it :D

  • @rphilmacrac they are available on line at all the boxing retail sites, I bought that one on Ebay many years ago

  • VERY GOOD!!!

  • Nice one. I appreciate the fact that you didn't just explain what you should do but also why you should do it. Cheers.

  • I found this to be very informitive. if you listen and can understand what this man is telling us you will see that the proper use of equipment can improve your skills. Just as the improper use can retart your groth

  • you're an idiot...there were plenty of edits in that sequence so it's impossible to tell how long he was going...and secondly you probably don't realize how much boxing takes out of you in just a short time.

  • It really does not matter as long as it is set up correctly the both provide the same training as a tool.

  • Great advice!

A traditional double end bag vs. a Mexican style double end......which one is better?

  • thanks ! very instructive

  • Great and informative video. A few years ago Harold Brazier and I worked together teaching kids. I was more of the chaplain.

  • i think this guys great!! thanks for another gr8 video m8...

  • does anyone know if its bad to inflate the bag as hard as a basketball or is that just preference?

  • good!

  • good what? hard as a basketball or soft

  • soft

  • thanks a lot man, ive learned a lot from ur videos.

  • Hey, I am thinking about getting one, but idk how I mount it to the floor and ceiling, and if I order one, if it will come with everything I need to set it up, etc. Can you help me out?

  • Homeboy kinda looks like Floyd Patterson.

  • For best results use 2 bungees

  • NICE video... i got a double end bag from everlast, should i put the string on the top or should i get another bungee cord so it moves around more???

  • how u install it make a vid about that not on youtube yet

i bet its hard in a normal house

  • is that china "the peoples camp"?

  • I liked the bit about the tension of the rope...

  • good tips.. good video.. took way too long to get to the substance and you repeated things way too much.. but good otherwise.. Thanks.

  • thanks for the tips...

im not a real boxer im into boxercise, i just thought that while im trying to lose weight i might as well learn how to punch properly.

  • should i be using just wraps or with gloves with in double ended bag?

  • I would have to say use a pair of boxing gloves while using the double end bag

  • what about the slip bag alot of boxers dont use that bag, kevein rooney used to train tyson on that bag i want sombody to train me on that bag

  • hey you have alot of very usfull tips i taped my heavy bag up from your other video and i liked this one also im a muay thai boxer though and these videos work just as well for it. Just curious do u belong to a gym? have u ever competed before?

  • hey wat kind ov gloves do you use trainig, sparing bag mits or does it not matter?

    cheers

    im 9 btw

  • it does not really matter but I use bag gloves on the double end bag

  • I tend to use 16oz bag gloves too, as this is the weight I'm fighting with. Helps with hand speed, too. I don't understand hitting the bag with light-weight gloves or just wraps, but lots of people do it so perhaps it's just me.

  • it's easier on the sparring gloves, so they last longer.

  • where can i get one of these badboys?!

  • nice vid i started the double end and sucket at it. week later im doin much better thanks for the tips

  • where can i get one of those?

  • very helpfull thank you

  • this guys is a great teacher great explainatons not everyone can do that

  • yer ur awsum but why do u hav ur thumbs out wen u punch? u will break them liek that

  • It's a reflex. When you have gloves on, your thumbs would be about that inside the glove.

  • i love this guy

  • good teacher Grim.x keep it up man.

  • I had it ALL wrong with this bag..!! Now I'll try it again with your tips..thanks..!

  • Awesome video Grim. I have been using a double-ended bag for a while but never thought much about the tension, etc.

  • That was cool! I guess the one I use might be a bit tight!?!?

  • Yea my coach has his pretty tensed but i will mention it two him,he pretty expirienced so he probably nows,if u wanna check out my first fight its in my videos.

  • I am glad to have been of help to you

  • your videos help out a lot of peole keep them coming

  • your videos are the best man,I'm just now getting back into the boxing and these videos are a great memory jerker.carry on

  • so if u hit a bag wit greater tension or less movement would it develop ya hand speed?

  • No it will not, what it will do is create the illusion of greater hand speeds

  • how do you mount it to the floor

  • Secure it to a weight plate, cinder block, sand bag, etc

  • thanks, dude

  • Hey FightChannel(Grim), did you ever think about being a boxing coach? I think you would be great, you are very knowledgeable and would be great for any professional or amateur boxer. Ok, got to go in my basement and raise my heavybag, from what you've explained, mines is to low, thanks Sifu.

  • This is the exact input I was looking for. Great points! Answered all my questions about setting up my double-end bag.

  • Great! I am glad this video was of help to you, good luck

  • hey man you are very informative great vid

  • Masterful teaching. Keep up the great work.

  • Great video. The part about the tension is right on. In the boxing gyms most double end bags are too tight. Where as in the martial arts gyms they move just as you described. This is the most complete video on the subject i've seen.

  • Thanks boxingforthestreet! I have seen your work and I commend you, the thing is most people take it as it is, I on the other hand like to experiment and find the best routes depending on the tasks

  • Thanks Again,Great video.
