i live right next to the train tracs in melbourne and i saw the whole thing happen, so much blood, and i didnt even know any of them but i have been on that brdge so many times. they are just the unlucky few that dont make it across. Sad

The water underneathe thr bridge was alligator infested and by the time they realized there was a train and it wasntstopping there was no time to jump. I feel horrible about it. i live on the north end of these tracks in edgewater fl when my mom called me freaking out telling me and my two friends to stay away from the tracks then an hour later the same train strikes two other girls. I am an engineer for a freight RR and I see this stuff all the time. Kids out playing where they shoudn't be. It happens all the time, some of them even play chicken with the train. It is a very sad thing to see but it happens all too often and to the fault of the trespassers. If people would just stay clear of the tracks you wouldn't see stuff like this in the news. Hopefully parents use this youtube video as example to kids, to show reasons to stay off railroad property. R.I.P kids.

The water underneathe thr bridge was alligator infested and by the time they realized there was a train and it wasntstopping there was no time to jump. I feel horrible about it. i live on the north end of these tracks in edgewater fl when my mom called me freaking out telling me and my two friends to stay away from the tracks then an hour later the same train strikes two other girls. It freaked me out! and i wish it didnt ever have to happen

Trains in that area are running about 35 MPH, so that's 184,800 FT/HR, or 3,080 FT/MIN, or 51 FT/SEC.
600/51 = 12 Seconds
Trust me... they KNEW that train was coming. They had +/- 12 Seconds to respond.

I'm not saying it's a devastating thing to happen in anybodys life. Losing somebody close to us is horrible, we have or will all have at one point in our lives been in that situation.

The person i feel sorry for is the poor driver of the bloody train! He has to stand there and watch it unfold, he cant stop. He knows its to late but... SPLAT! poor guy will have to live with that image for the rest of his life!

People are SO evil! Do any of you have kids? Teens do stupid things-their brains/logic are not fully developed. They don't have the reasonings powers of adults or think of consequences like we do. Also-none of us know what we would have done if we saw a train bearing down on us-they probaly just froze in panic and terror. A witness heard a girl crying and screaming right after it happened-she must have been alive for a little while. This is so horrible-think if this was your loved one!

They wernt standin in front of a train. They were crossing it as a short cut. The train goes across the trellece they were walking on in 7 seconds. In the time they knew the train was comming, they only had 7 seconds to make a life of death decision. Afterwards, the fisherman down below heaerd the screaming and crying of one of the girls in agony after being hit by the train. Are you saying their retarded because they had 7 secs. to contemplate, to run or jump into alligater water, and to live?

I am an engineer for a freight RR and I see this stuff all the time. Kids out playing where they shoudn't be. It happens all the time, some of them even play chicken with the train. It is a very sad thing to see but it happens all too often and to the fault of the trespassers. If people would just stay clear of the tracks you wouldn't see stuff like this in the news. Hopefully parents use this youtube video as example to kids, to show reasons to stay off railroad property. R.I.P kids.

they wasnt playing on the track they were probley heading to the beach thats a cross the street they didnt see it cuz there is a bend in the track there leading over the ocean there smart kids i know them when to school with wraya hadley not even shore who the other two are yet probley some other people that i know

not to minimize this tragic accident, I have no idea why they were on this train tressle, but they were not heading to the beach. The beach is about 3-5 miles east of where this accident happend.
