More '50s rock and roll by female singers: "Oh Babe" by Kay Starr, "Jump And Shout" by Erline "Rock And Roll" Harris, "Real Lovin' Mama" by Floyd Dixon and Mari Jones, "Rockin' And Jumpin'" by Honey Brown, "The Walkin' Blues" aka "Walk Right In" by Fluffy Hunter, "Rock City Boogie" by Ernie Ford and the Dinning Sisters, "Drill Daddy Drill" by Dorothy Ellis, "Mr. Low Love" by Terry Timmons.
why is youtube attracts people who comment on an artists physical appearance?
Musicians create music, superficial comments on a musicians looks are beside the point. Listen to the music and enjoy, and get yourself a partner, just putting it out there.
WOOOO.....wooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.......hooo....rockabilly the vey hot Wanda Jackson.......where is Wanda when we need her ! rofl...rofl..hoooooo....so fine! Rockabilly 4ever! Great stuff.... jeffs45rpm meaaannn meannnn maannnn! woooo hoooo
Ooh la la, while I kinda liked Mean mean man, the Sunny Gale version of 'Hot dog' is really far far superior to WJ's... Instrumentally more or less the same, but a much more convincing voice, Gale's man really must be 'mad', judging from the way she sings it. The way WJ sings it would have been the same if he would have been doing a repaint work on the kitchen's door or been busy with a lawn moller. There should be a connection between what and how one sings a song ! Still, thanks to post it!
Love Wanda...the rockers naturally, though her pure country sides are never anything but listenable...Mean Mean Man I think is my fave of the bunch...listen to the riff and tell me if you don't hear the roots of the Cramps...great post...thank you
When I hear this one, I can imagine the Cramps blasting it with Poison Ivy on lead (she sang one or two songs of theirs)...Wanda was a true original and still sounds great today
My beloved cat Riley recently decided to gnaw the bejeezus out of my otherwise pristine early 80's re-issue of "Rockin' with Wanda." I guess I can't fault his taste.

Like the guitar intro, then the 2nd guitar.
It would be interesting to see what a 2009 rock band could make of this, possibly Dorro.
