  • i wonder what tuning is balalaika, since i'm a guitarist myself, the standard guitar tuning is EADGBE

  • @jeremyunderground41 EEA prima balalaika... sometimes AAD like sekunda balalaika.

but some peole are too lazy to learn playing with the thumb and tune it like a guitar o.O

  • @plutik666 ok thank you for the information. I'm very curious about music coz I'm a musician myself and yet i have lack of knowledge about the rarest instruments including this balalaika.

  • Look up 'Balaika London' too!

  • Honestly, this guy looks like an absolute novice beginner next to 'balalaika amok' by Aleksei Arkhipovsky. Still enjoyable though.

  • I wish what is the title of the first piece... A truly maestro :)

  • grandissimo anatole!

  • I really enjoyed listening and watching, great vid!

  • 16 people were waiting for him to press his distortion peddle on

  • @legacyabq we all are nothings, nobodies, douchebags. that is being human. problem is that people like richie stone try to deny that. i hope that is what you meant.

  • One of the true titles in youtube!

    vadimkozin.narod.ru/Kozin_Vadim_shel_otrjad_ezhik.mp3

The pitches of the strings are E-E-A though.

  • awesome!!

  • what are the name of the song ? :)

  • Klasna ^^

  • the song at the end is , nederland oh nederland wij worden kampioen ! (its dutch) ;)

    greetz from holland !

  • well that isnt the original ;p

  • Song at the end is Auld Lang Syne. I do know that it was not the original tune when the folk song was collected. It is supposed to be Scottish, but someone told me it might be English.

The song Anatoly plays first is Hour by Hour, which is a piece closely associated with the balalaika virtuoso Pavel Necheporenko, who died last year, aged 93.

  • It's Scottish, it was written by our very own Rabbie Burns.

  • Haha! Sukkel!

  • haha mooi he! :P al die gekken fanatiek reageren !

  • No, its Scottish.

  • @whikless

    lol

  • Why the thumbs down? I was telling a Dutchman the song at the end was Scottish, not Dutch like he claimed it was.

    Do I deserve that?

  • the song at the end, isnt that Auld lang syne?
