I am 17 years old from the east coast and I surf Delaware. Something about the art or longboarding an the style that goes into the sport really intrigues me! It's rare to see people who ride old school, let alone a young kid like me but I still have alot to learn. I was wondering if the elevator was like another model the Silver Spoon because that what I ride and I am looking into a new board. Any help would be useful!
@ParkvilleLax20 I live in DE, about 5 min from IRI. The Silver Spoon you have is a great all around board, it should noseride well and work good here. The Elevator has a little narrower nose, a scooped out nose on the deck, bottom concave, and a little lift in the tail. The Elevator is a pretty technical noserider, I'd stick with the Silver Spoon or if you want another noserider and like Bings check out the BN Lightweight
Nice board, BUT step decks suck and it's not helpful to have them. The benefit of it doesn't outway the bad that can happen. Imagine scooping out the top of the board AND having concave under the nose, how thin is the board where your noseriding? It creates a weak point where your board can break or create a lot of stress cracks from the board flexing. I had a step deck noserider before and sold it after only a few sessions, i would read into it. Bings other models are the sickest noseriders!
Why not buy a NEW Takayama noserider? Bing and Calvani use his templates!
