  • hey man, i really love this song. great composition.

did you actually manage to sync the rc-50 to the mpc or is it your perfect timing on hitting the rec button that makes it staying in sync?

    peace

    seth schwarz

  • @SethSchwarz Alright Seth, Cheers for getting in touch. Glad you like the video. And no, I did not sync anything. I just record in time and play in time. Haha. I think it's pretty key to being a musician. Cheers again, Will.

  • @fraojfljtlnbsd yeah i hear a lot of people about sync mmm i just play it on time too...so what does sync really mean? not playing on time but soundindg on time ? excuse my ingnorance.

  • @ganjagladiator A sync is when each devices MIDI computer is syncronised with one Master. You could set the MPC as a master of the Loop Pedal. That way, all the tempos stay the same and all the loops are exactly on beat. It may also quantize your loop (which means it sets the loop length automatically to the nearest beat or bar.)

  • @ganjagladiator how can sync my rc 50 to a drum machine for example noticed the two outlets in and out...and then do i have to program something like press a button??? on the rc 50 o t all happens automaticlly?

  • Cheers to that!!! lol

  • to play a meldoy from my yamaha np30 to my drum track on my mpc 1000 i need 2 midi cords rite.going from midi out from mpc to midi in on keyboard and midid in from mpc to midi out on keyboard?

  • Holy crap! Is that a concertina I see on your desk? It looks just like mine. Is yours a Scholer?

You're tearin' it up on that KP3. You've got major skills, good ideas, and clearly a great taste in equipment.

  • shit man really diggin ur stuff!

  • you are incredible. great stuff !

  • is it possible to import your loop from the rc-50 to a computer?

  • @troelseskild Not that I know of. There is not USB connection, so probably not. Just have to record it in or transfer via a portable recorder with memory card. Thats what I do.

  • @fraojfljtlnbsd The USB connection (on the back of the RC-50) allows you to transfer the three phrases of each patch to the computer in WAV format. More information about it in there FAQ, but YouTube won't let me post a link.

  • @fraojfljtlnbsd The RC-50 has a USB port on the back that allows you to copy each patch of each phrase to the computer in WAV format. Roland's FAQ talks about this, but YouTube won't let me post a direct link.

  • @queerclockwork Ahhh, so it does. Cheers for that.

  • @fraojfljtlnbsd Amazing technology. Roland is special.

  • How's the clock on the boss RC-50, does it drift off? Or did you slave it to some other midi device?

  • NICE . it gave me shivers.. so good

  • DUDE I WANNA WRITE LIKE YOU!!!!

  • a tee on the roof would not do wrong with your inspirational songs

  • I love your stuff man but can't get it anywhere. It's not on itunes or anything like that? You should try and get a record label to sign you!

  • Hown much Cost That all ?

  • @MrJguitarH I dont know, Someone between 2000-2500. But I have been building the set up over years. And always buy off of ebay. Saves so much money, which I really do not have much of.

    Cheers for watching.

  • Usb port?

  • exelent !! j'adore

  • are you actively performing LIVE???? you should send this to some normal label and release it.

many people in the world do 100000 times worse electroacustic music and they sell thousands of records...

    you´r GOOOOOOOOOODDDDD!!!!!! I Love it!

  • Thanks for this

  • So pro. Great piece memotone!

  • You call this music?? These are the same sounds your mothers mouth makes when she.... welll you knooow

    wtm

  • one of my favorites of yours :-)

    very nice atmosphere!

  • Excuse. Do you know if it is possible to connect this keyboard to an amplifier or Bussines? (sorry for my bad inglish) Great song i loved.

  • that's some impressive multi-tasking! great work!

  • what a mes in your room

  • heavynesss bro. talented man!

  • awesum piece

ima save up for a loop station.... which one do u recomend?

  • @xdasxefilx The Boss RC-50 if you can afford it. Try ebay. If not the RC-20 is still really good. Or the Line 6 loop pedals.

Cheers for the comment. Glad you like!

  • @fraojfljtlnbsd i hate my rc 50. cant seem to get the timing of hitting it right so the loops are either messed up or my guitar playing is shite coz im concertrating too much on the pedal presssing. i prefer to loop 'live' on the kp3 and kaossilator. also use elcetribes and an mpc 5000. but still learning those.

  • what are you using to record some repetitive melodies¿¿¿

    pls

    ^^

  • @anukittta The Boss RC-50 Loop Station

  • @anukittta rc 50 looping pedal

  • Jeez Will, 10,000 views!! Deserved of course!

  • What do you think about the Kaossilator pro? :)

Beautifull piece of music,I loved it and share it with all my friends

  • @Nobushiin I can't say I have had the pleasure of using one. I don't think its worth getting one if you have a KP3 alredy. It doesn't seem to have that many extra features.

Glad to hear you like the sounds. And thankyou for spreading the word!

    All the best,

    William Yates/memotone

  • @fraojfljtlnbsd if you have a kp3, just get the kaossilator (small one) and its perfect

  • Hey! brilliant play...!, nice song except for the acid arranges you made, they dont fit perfectly, otherwise this piece would be magic !! Nice !!!! Question, the NP30 has a decent output sound at the jack ? not the speakers. I'd like one but need to know if it;s possible to amplify the volume for LIVE performance... Music will Pay !!! U Rule !

  • @cocteaulover Yeah the NP-30 has a good sounding headphone out. Perfect to plug straight into an amp or through effects and then in. I only occasionally use the speekers. There good for practicing but not much more. Glad you like the sound and a fair comment on the electro vibe. I only threw that in for fun really. It was never produced or finalised that way.

    All the best,

    William Yates

  • Not bad at all, but damn dude pull your pants up D:

  • very cool performance - Oskar Sala meets EL&P and the drummer comes straight from the office, and a good finale (just a quick impression - there is more to it) where can this be seen live ?

  • abraccadabrant, sinthetis and energofague-oscillocontestandanc but very abscisoidiantic and fluorescent interdisciplinaire . I like it, bravos, very goood.

  • nice

  • hypnotically amazing. bravo sir.

  • I love this.

  • Good

  • dude, good work, and those seven minutes flew by for me.

  • amazing thats all i have to say

  • Awesome

  • awesome

  • how do you find the action on this keyboard?

  • you're awesome.. your music can be a great backing track to a cool movie or film!!!

  • rich boy ^^

  • I am actually very much not a rich boy. Thankfully. I have learnt how to get by with the little money I do have. Ebay has been a great help. And all the years of building I have put into the contruction of my set up. Hopefully one day my music will pay me back.

  • I hear you man.

  • @vermilion21 cum guzzler

  • Just listened further in and heard that dubstep wobble! Could use a little more grime and melody but it's a nice addition.

  • Im likin' this. It's got a nice mellow vibe with a interesting dubstep-like drum pattern.

  • nice very talented multi!

  • Dude love this, excellent beats and melody.. keep it up, post some more please..

  • Hey, did you use that yellow children's piano as one of your samples?

  • hey man i was thinkin bout get this keyboard to practice with but u are also using it for midi? how good is the keyboard? i also have an axiom 61 i just bought that isnt working right already!!! so if i can use this to practice and as midi replace that would be great!!! plz help i also have vids also and this vid is hot stuff i can tell ur really into music i see guitars, drums, keyboards and etc lol

  • epic..like the feel..

  • The only people who I could imagine hating on this are the ones who couldn't make this if their lives depended on it.

Probably my favorite so far :] Incredibly done! I would love to play around on a setup like that for days on end.

  • brilliant.

  • hey man how many inputs does the RC-50 have

as im looking at buying one but i dunno if its for me. Can i run a Yamaha SK-20 synth and a Roland SPD-S sample pad through it at the same time?

    cheers

    liam.

  • Yes you can. It has two jack inputs, a mic input (with phantom power for condenser microphones) and an AUX input.

It a brilliant piece of kit. But a lot of money if you decided you don't want it. Well, I dont know your financial situation. But for most.

    Cheers, memotone/Will

  • Sick! Big ups. I'm feelin' this.

  • Really enjoyed this piece. Great talent!

  • I'm just speech- and typeless.

This must be one of the best selfmade YouTube videos out there!

  • The piece was superb constructuction, The piece has a melancholic complex opening which then composes itself into an appropriate expression of enthusiasm. William's musical technique was clarity by itself. It seems as if he physically etched out the beat points, sculpted the fermatas, chiseled the pitches, and molded the inflections. The resulting textures were complex and gorgeously melodic.

  • Hahaha. Thankyou Jack

  • Its nice to someone use an acoustic guitar on a track like this.

  • Fuck yeah! Nice looping and juggling between instruments. It was really good! I think people here in the states would dig this. Reminds me a little bit of team sleep.

  • Thankyou very much. I have not heard of 'Team Sleep' But I will check it out.

  • I know this guy he is a good friend. He would have made the beat on the drums and looped or recorded it before hand so he could do all the other stuff. Its called knowing how your eqipment works.

  • I LOVE MEMOTONE. never give up. LAME people that go around hating every video they see, it's pathettttttic and I would LOVE to see any one of the haters coming up with genius like this! You are extremely talented x x x

  • Thankyou Sofia. But do not worry. It was just a friend playing a silly mindless prank.

  • It would sound good in a slow scene in a movie. I like the beginning but some parts are a little too much.

  • Great! I hope to end up making music for films one day. So that is a very encouraging comment. Sadly the reverbs do seem to drown out all other sound on my cameras crap mic. I do appologise. Criticism duely noted.

  • great musicianship 5*

    great post

  • Thankyou kindly

  • I agree- your best yet imo. really great to watch and definitely an inspiration

  • wow you help inspire me to create more beautiful music. you are so talented, but i'm pretty sure that you already knew that.

you make very, very beautiful music

  • Yo Will, very nice sounds as per usual, bravo good Sir!

  • you got skillz

  • you always seem to amaze me with your creativity sic shit mayn........

  • ill.

  • Jawdroppingly beautiful

I'm pretty sure I just held my breath for 7:00 straight

Easily your best work to date

F*cking aces. Keep it up, mate!
