Amazing song but i hoping they would go back into chorus to finish it off along with a crazy outro. Put a little bit more originality into a cover. But overall 10 of 10 in my book!
The amusing thing is we could´nt get Ray out of the studio. He wanted to to do take after take, and he did his solo about 20 times. He said "hey man this is really fun!" I´m thinking Ray does´nt get out that much these days.Nice guy we had a lot of fun with him.

ummmmmmm no........no........nnnnnn n n n n n nnnnnnno, nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo, why Manzarek?
Funny history for this recording. Sister Machine Gun originally recorded the cover for the movie, but at the last minute Sony decided they wanted a Sony artist. However, the song was already cut/edited to SMG's version including the added organ solo. So, when Prong re-did it, Ray Manzerek had to kinda play an organ solo someone else wrote for a cover of a song he orig. performed. Take their cd "Burn" and play the first track. Just as it starts, rewind backwards to -5:00 and hit play to hear it.
well if someone gave me a couple million to play a doors song with this shitty band I would do it too, and you know ray, now that morrisons dead, he has to earn his commission off of these hits any chance he gets, plus he wants to keep his face in the public eye any chance he gets... just because he accepts these offers it doesn't mean that he agrees with them
Of course not. I know plenty of session guys who hate the music they play. I feel like this is still right up Ray Manzarek's alley though. He's got a hell of a resume and can't possibly have any trouble finding work.
9 dislikes? Clearly they have never had Strange Days.

@Prongful Well, if you'd heard the original you'd know, too.

@HeadfulOfHollow I disagree, I reckon they both are unique and have strong dynamics (coming from a Doors fan).
