Unfortunately, you did it wrong. When Kung Lao throws his hat, you can (and must) control it. Like SwTAzNUsHeR said, if you aim the hat so it cuts through your opponent's neck, you will decapitate them. However, it is difficult to pull off. Keep trying, and you'll eventually get it.

You moron. You can control the flight of the hat with UP or DOWN....you have to aim for the neck.
